Rating: Summary: A good read for regency fans Review: This book has a little different twist to the typical regency and was very enjoyable to read. I will look for more from Sabrina Jeffries.
Rating: Summary: A Great Read Review: This book was different from any other that I had read, it was humorous but still kept it's serious side. After I read The Pirate Lord I picked it up again and started from the beginning. I recommend this book if you are after something light hearted.
Rating: Summary: An Excellent Book! Review: This book was great, I loved the whole story between Sara and Gideon. My favorite part was when they were both reciting Shakesphere back and forth. Now I am starting to read Forbidden Lord.If you like pirate novels, this is a keeper.
Rating: Summary: Enjoyable Great Chemistry and Never Boring Review: This is a great faced paced, fun, escapist romance. The Pirate Lord is sexy and smoldering -- wonderful love scenes between the pirate and Sara. Lots of fun and terrific chemistry. This is a great read to take on vacation! (The sequel Forbidden Lord, the love story of Sara's brother is very enjoyable too!)
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Loved It! Review: This is my first book by Sabrina Jeffries - but it won't be my last. "The Pirate Lord" has everything: intense sexual tension between the two main characters that leads to hot and steamy love scenes, engaging relationships between a colorful cast of secondary characters, quite a few tugs on the old heartstrings and more than plenty of laughs!
Gideon is one of the sexiest heroes I've read about in quite a while - the perfect pirate. And Sara's stubborness and strong will placed her in quite a few humorous situations.
I simply adored this book and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: a good book Review: This is the 1st book in the Lord series. The title is a fitting one. the hero is called the Pirate Lord. His real name is Gideon Horn. He is the most feared pirate especially by the English nobility. It seems he takes a lot of pleasure in taking ships that have nobles on board. This time though he has taken a convict ship filled with women bound for New South Wales. On board is the heroine, the step-sister of an Earl by the name of Sara Willis. She is a reformer who is on board to help the convict women make to there destination unharmed and with a bit of an education. They don't know she is nobility and when she reveals this to the Pirate Lord in hopes of saving them they are a bit shocked. The Pirate Lord doesn't want to hurt the women he only wants them as wives for his crew. They are retiring from pirating and wish to settle down on his island with wives and have families. Well Sara throws a big wrench into his plans. She insists that they be courted and that the women have time to choose thier mates. This angers the Pirate Lord but he goes along with it to keep the peace. In the mean time he is finding himself attracted to the upity Sara and when they finally kiss the fireworks go off. Both are drawn to each other but fight against it. This is a good book with a twist at the end. I liked the humor in this book and will enjoy reading the others in this series.
Rating: Summary: The Beginning of an Addiction Review: This is the first of Jeffries' books that I had the pleasure of reading, and I was instantly hooked! I find the story clever, revolving around a real piece of interesting history, and the characters interesting. Gideon was terribly sexy, Sara was irritating to the point that you understood exactly what Gideon was going through, and the results were quite pleasing, if not a little predictable.

Rating: Summary: This book was a lot of fun! Review: This romance was a whole lot of fun. The Pirate Lord Gideon was a colorful and mysterious character with too much of a romantic sense for his or the heroine's own good. Gideon and Sarah were evenly spirited lovers. There were twists and turns that kept a storyline up as well. It's not a great work of literature but it's a whole lot of fun to read and an opportunity to let your romantic side run free. I haven't looked at my husband the same way since I read it.
Rating: Summary: Pretty darn close to perfect. I would give it 4.5 stars. Review: This was a fabulous read. The hot pirate on the cover doesn't hurt anything either. ;) This story is great because there is no intrigue, no mystery, and no real subplot. There is a tiny subplot about Gideon's mother, but it's hardly mentioned and Jeffries doesn't waste pages and pages going on about it. The story is 99.9% about the romance. The sex scenes sizzled, although I thought they might be a bit more creative. I mean, after all, the man is a pirate. Didn't he have some fun tricks up his sleeve?! ;) This was definitely sensual and I truly believed the characters loved and cared for each other. Sara was a *bit* too perfect for me. She was forever chastising everyone about their "sins." She apparently had none. She never made mistakes and had no personality flaws to speak of. I think giving her a little bit of humanity would have helped the story. Definitely a fun and romantic read. I highly recommend it!
