Summary: Another great story!
Review: I have been a Julia Quinn fan for a while, and while I liked a couple of her earlier Bridgerton books more than this one, I can't deny that I enjoyed this too! Eloise is a "passionate spinster", my favorite type of heroine, and I enjoyed watching her match wits with Sir Phillip. Quinn always writes dialogue that's fun to read.

Summary: Anyone need a pen-pal?
Review: I have cast Julia Quinn into eternal damnation so many times now that it seems to have lost its fury. Her books keep me up all night long, to drag through the entire next day at work, only to do it all over again until I finish her latest book. To Sir Phillip was no exception. I have never in my life wanted to be a letter-writer more than those nights when Julia was haunting my sleep with the characters in this book. The Bridgerton clan will sweep you off your feet and leave you wanting more.

Summary: The best of Julia Quinn
Review: I have her other books, and this is her best,
This one has a little more passion, I think, and
as a side note, Colin seems much more passionate which
is noted in a few lines, then in his story "Romancing Mister Bridgerton"
I loved Sir Phillip, and felt the ending was the best,
I had to reread it several times,
I laughed alot when he finally met the brothers,
I read it in one sitting,
Its a good read

Summary: Glad to see lady whistledown did not make appearance
Review: I just finished To Sir Phillip With Love in less than 24 hours - I couldn't put it down. I cannot believe that the romantic times reviewer had the nerve to give this a 3 star rating and to say that (I don't have the review in front of me) but something to the effect that readers are getting sick of the Bridgertons(I love the Bridgertons I was tired of Lady Whistledown and found the quick letter blurbs from Eloise much more interesting and fun) In fact one of the best parts of the book is when the 4 Bridgerton Brothers find their sister. I honestly thought that this was one of the best books in the Bridgerton series - much better than Colin and Penelope's story. It was both funny in some parts while it tackled issues of insecurities depression and abuse. If you like Julia Quinn - you'll love this book.

Summary: The Hero, Not So Heroic...
Review: I love Julia Quinn, and enjoyed this book to a degree. However, I found myself very disapointed in the hero, Phillip. Firstly, his reaction to Eloise's arrival seemed enterly too odd, even for a man "not good with words". He was much too confused about everything.

I also especially hated that it seemed that he could actually find himself perfectly happy and content with Eloise as nothing more than a mother by day and his slut by night... Sorry for my bluntness, but this is how it came across.

I was also shocked by some of the dialog that passed between them, he was down right mean and aweful to her with some of the things he said, and honestly I couldn't find myself edeared to a man that despite his past, would say such things for a woman whom he, only shortly later, came to realize he was in love with.

I did enjoy the opening of each chapter of Eloise's thoughts and writing of the past and how they fit perfectly into the story, and I loved the very end.

I hate doing this, I really do, but I must say, unless you're a JQ fan and want to keep up with the going's on of the Bridgerton family, I simply don't recommend this book. While there were enjoyable parts of this novel, it just simply wasn't what I had expected from her.

Summary: Love it!
Review: I love this book! The plot differs from The Duke and I and The Viscount Who Loves Me, which makes it very refreshing, less predictable, yet still so charming and romantic. I can't help to sympathise with Philip, about being lock in the responsibility of a title he doesn't want, being lock in a loveless and passionless marriage, being feeling trapped of how to be a good father to his children. He is also so honourable and kind. Yet he certainly has a devilish charm too, especially how he shows Eloise why they are suited for each other - by pleasuring her on impulse! JQ did it again with her trademark witty dialogue and clever plot twists. I simply adore the bickerings of the Bridgerton brothers! Finally, the ending of how Philip expresses his love to Eloise is sooooooooo romantic!

Summary: You've got mail meets the step mom regency style............
Review: I loved it, it was just such a great story. I can't wait to read all the Brigderton series. Definely recommend it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The third best from JQ
Review: I loved this book. Eloise gets a chance to use her unique qualities to bring happiness in the lives of Sir Phillip and his eight year old twins. It's a little different from what we fans of the Bridgerton series but is just as splendid.

BUT IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE VISCOUNT WHO LOVED ME YOU MUST. FOR ME IT'S HER BEST BOOK OF THE SERIES. I JUST ADORE, LOVE(AND HAVE SECRET FANTASIES ABOUT) (...)

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not a very charming hero!
Review: I must say the hero somewhat repulsed me. The references to spanking and him sexually relieving himself I could well do without. He had too many issues to ever be a good hero. I finished the book rather fast and it was not boring. I just didn't find it romantic. And after all, this is supposed to be a romance book and romance is not suppose to make the reader nauseous. Two thumbs down!

Summary: A bit disappointed...
Review: I was looking forward to this book after having read all the other books in the series over the summer and I was a little disappointed. Philip did not come across as "hero" material, but it just may be that I don't understand brilliant people. He was very moody and reclusive and didn't deal with people and his children very well. He worked in his lab all day and expected Eloise to deal with the mundane details of running a household and taking care of his children and when he was ready for intimacy, she had to ready, too. Eloise seemed flighty and irresponsible at times. She was old enough to know that going to a gentleman's home unescorted was inappropriate and she just leaves to go to her brother's house without leaving some kind of message. She didn't impress me very much as a heroine. The story seemed rushed and I didn't feel like the characters were truly in love. Of course, it was fun to visit with old "friends" from previous books, but I hope that the next book (perhaps Francesca since she was mentioned a lot in this book)will be better.
