Summary: This is a fabulous story!
Review: While I've read many romance novels, this one kept drawing me back! The attention to detail and the compelling story keeps you turning the pages to find out what happens next! You feel like you know these people; that they are real. I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy!

Summary: Heartwarming!
Review: The "Born In" trilogy is one that captures the ecsense of Ireland unlike any book I have yet to read. Never has a book left me with such a yearning to visit the place of it's setting. Never have I felt the warmth and caring of a Irish land and its inhabitants. "Born in Ice" is written with such wonderful detail and thought, that you can picture the rolling green hills, you can fill the damp mist that covers the land like a blanket. You can imagine hospitality and hearty homecooked meals. It takes you on a journey to a land and a people that you will never forget.

Summary: Some books leave impressions
Review: Some books leave impressions that stay with you for a long time. Nora Roberts "Born in Ice" is one of these books. This book is the second part of a trilogy that takes place in Ireland, the story of three sisters in the order of their birth. Brianna is the second born. This story of her gentle strength and courage brought me laughter and tears and a hope of someday meeting a man like Gray. Don't miss this one. It is great fun and will leave you with the strongest desire to hop on a plane for Ireland.

Summary: Excellent book!
Review: I thought this was the best book of the "born in" books. I read this one first, and it was so good I went out and bought the other two books.

Summary: My favorite NR book yet!
Review: I loved this book in the way it depicted the Irish countryside... it made me want to hop on a plane and stay at the B&B! I hadn't even read the first of the "born in" series and I could follow this one with no trouble at all. Good Going Nora!

Summary: A trilogy to be read by anyone that enjoys good literature.
Review: Nora Roberts has an amazing talent in that she can make her characters come alive. So much so that if one of them were to walk into your home you would most certainly recognize them. Your only regret will probably be that they are only fictional and that you will not be able to meet them. This series of books are by far the best that she has written so far and even those who would never be caught reading a romance novel will find them most enjoyable.

Summary: Gripping, real life romance in County Clare
Review: "Born in Ice" continues the story of the Cancannon sisters, who were introduced in "Born in Fire." Ms. Roberts explores the quiet dignity and passion that is Briana through her relationships with her family and a guest at her B & B, Grayson Thane. The reader is given a real taste of Ireland in Ms. Roberts wonderful descriptions of the countryside and small communities, as well. This story was a touching story of family relationships - and sets the stage for the final book in the trilogy, "Born in Shame."

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: This was my very first book for Nora Roberts, and so far it's the best book EVER. It is THE PERFECT book. Brianna is a wonderful, smart inn keeper with many talents and a rare kind of maturity. I would love to be like her! And Gray is a successful, sweet, caring, witty author that comes to her inn in Ireland to relax and start a new book. This is no ordinary romance. I love that it goes deep, not only into the main characters' personalities, but there is also Brianna's sister and brother-in-law, her mother, her friend, and Gray's agent. Not to mention the wonderful scenary of Ireland described throughout the book. The conlcusion of the book is wonderful and utterly satisfying, leaving you with a happy glow that lasts a long time! Other books by Nora Roberts are good, but this one takes the prize. Of the Born trilogy this one is the best and it should NOT be missed.

Summary: Boring Unexciting Characters and Drivel for Plots
Review: (Referring to the Abridged Book on Tape) The only compelling plot line to this story was the discovery of a possible sibling living in America. I listened to this whole stupid, boring story about a self-centered, self-obsessed, self-everything mystery/thriller writer (insufferable & annoying, i didn't like him & didn't find his character sexy or smart or anything nice, & nora was trying to make him seem so complex & internally torn, but he just ended up being UN-complex & completely see-through) and an independent self-employed country girl (who was nice, i liked her) and the one plot line i was interested WAS NOT EVEN RESOLVED BY THE END OF THE STORY. of course brianna & grayson were going to get together by the end--obviously, but you didn't know what was going to happen w/this mystery lover her dad had before she was born. the only compelling thing about the story & it remained unresolved.

BOTTOM LINE: A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. Brianna & her dog could do a lot better!
