Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Hero's Hero Review: This book has the best hero that Johanna Lindsey has ever written about: Anthony Malory. I love it when James and him get together, but Anthony alone makes my blood boil. I think Anthony's gentle but bold seduction of Roslynn is the best part of the book. And of course, who can forget the lesson he teaches her in "the chair?" It's also funny the way Ros keeps wondering why Tony married her: was it for her money or simply because he wanted her? The answer to that question certainly keeps Ros and the reader on the edge of their senses. All in all, Ms. Lindsey has proven once again why she is my favorite romance writer.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Got to be my favorite book Review: This comes close to being my favorite book of all time. Absolutely loved it. Couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Tony and Rosalyn was irrefutable. They were made for each other. The story was incredibly well written. And it didn't leave you feeling empty, with loose ends. Every end was tightly secured. When you put the book down after you're finished reading it, you'll want to instantly pick it back up and read it again! Go for it!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Once u pick it up-, u'd neva b able 2 put it down Review: This is by far one of the best historic romance ever! Anothony Malory is the guy of every gurlz dream. Hez a rake, but hez so strong and handsome, one can't help but fall passionately in love wiff him. My favourite part, was when Anthony proposed marriage to Roslynn Chadwick, how he lies about all her other suitorz just 2 have her. Itz just SO sweet! And James Malory is sooo cute, i just can't wait for my copy of Gentle Rogue to come, becoz in the story, therez two chapterz that hintz towardz James books, and now i can just die! Itz set in a very awkward suituation that any sweet and most romantic things can happen beyond our imaginationz. Bac 2 Tender Rebel, the title just can't possibly begin to hint how good it is. The way how the two couple strugglez is just so exciting! Itz a book 2 die for!

What's up with all the 5 star reviews for this book? I took your advice (via Amazon.com)and decided to try a few books by Ms. Lindsey. Hoo boy, was I ever disappointed. Tender Rebel was the first of Ms. Lindsey's books I tried. I couldn't even get 1/4 of the way through it. It's like that old saying "It only takes one sip of wine to know if it's a good bottle"(or not). I came to the conclusion that perhaps this just wasn't one of her better books and so I attempted to read a few more. Sadly, I came away with the same opinion of all three: they're not very good. There just isn't enough depth to the characters or the story lines. In fact as I attempted to read on I kept saying to myself "Oh how CORNY!" I am a huge fan of Kathleen Woodiwiss and Bertrice Small (in my opinion the queens of the romance genre)and after reading their books it is really difficult to understand the enormous popularity of Ms. Lindsey's books. May I suggest: "The Flame and the Flower", "The Elusive Flame", "Ashes in the Wind", and "The Wolf and the Dove" all by Kathleen Woodiwiss and "Skye O'Malley", "Adora" and "Unconquered" all by Bertrice Small
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Heart Stopping Romantic & Humorous! Review: This is my favorite book of all time. I can never get enough of it! There was never a boring part in the book. I just could not put it down. I loved the way Anthony trying to make Rosylnn's other suitors look real bad to convince her in not to marrying them because he wanted her to himself. I like the way Anthony and Rosylnn were captivated by each other when they saw each other the very first time. Rosylnn's fiery temper with her Scottish brogue really made a match for handsome rake, Anthony Malory. Johanna Lindsey has done it again. I loved it!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Good story but the audio cassette just doesn't cut it! Review: This is the second in the Malory series and I listened to the the audio cassette and though the story was good the reader's lack of English and Scottish accents and that she didn't bother even to make her voice sound different for each character was annoying and kind of boring! The story is about a young Scottish lady named Roslynn Chadwick who flees her beloved home in Scotland to escape from being forced to marry a creep who wants her money and land, she goes to England and runs into Anthony Malory a man with a reputation for being the love em and leave em type but soon Roslynn finds herself falling for Anthony and they both find themselves involved in adventure, mystery and suspense when the creep comes after Roslynn. I give the audio version 2 stars just for the reader's lack of accents and different voice sounds and if she had I would without doubt have given it 5 stars! The audio recording is abridged and I hope that Johanna Lindsey has it rerecorded unabridged with the proper accents and changes of voice sounds!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The second book in the Malory family series Review: This is the story Of Roslynn Chadwick and Anthony (Tony) Malory. Roslynn is a proud Scot and Tony is an arrogant English nobleman. When he meets her, he vows she will be his. When they marry, everything seems to be going happily ever after, untill Rosylnn thinks Tony cheated on her. James Malory, ( hero of the third book, Gentle Rogue) helps his brother and his proud Scottish bride fall back into love. This book is full of all the things I love about Johanna Lindsey. Love, Fueding, And Inticate Families.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A third time and its still a charm!!! Review: This is the third time i've read the book and i still love it! Tony is definitely a scoundrel but a very lovable one at that. Lindsey gets better every time i read her work!!!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Tender Rebel Review: This may not be the best Mallory novel Ms. Lindsey has written but it's darned close. Tony is every woman's dream - Tall, dark, and handsome. And who can resist a "bad boy". Apparently not Rosalyn, the beautiful heiress looking for a husband. She gets more than she bargained for in Tony, though. Also great are the reappearence of Nicholas and Regina Eden, Tony's niece and black sheep nephew-in-law from the first Mallory novel. You can guess who is match making. This is an all around great romance second only to Gentle Rogue, the story of Anthony's brother James.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Second in Mallory series Review: This was one of the best books Johanna Lindsey has done. Her Mallory series are exciting and action packed. And so romantic. Keep it up, Lindsey!
