Summary: I couldn't put it down, which is OK,because I didn't want to
Review: It can't be said that Mrs.Lindsey doesn't know what her readers want. Anyone who read about, and loved, Uncle Tony in the first Malory novel, will be thrilled with this book. It was filled with love, humor, and the amusing wit of Anthony Malory! Thank you Mrs. Lindsey, it was GREAT!!!!!!

Summary: Anthony Malory is the Best!
Review: Johanna Lindsey is outstanding in this novel! Creating a character like Anthony M. gives us no time to work or take care of the kids until you finish the book. I highly recommend you to start reading it on a weekend, because you won't put it down. The scene at the balcony and the conservatory are the best.

Summary: "It's a husband I'm needing, no' a lover...more's the pity"
Review: Lady Chadwick sealed her own fate with these few words! What can one expect from a rake. Tall, dark and handsom. That's Anthony Malory, Tony to his intimates. Roslyn doesn't stand a chance! She is lost to him in the first 47 pages! I was lost to him in "Love Only Once".

Summary: Not the best
Review: Most of the Johanna Lindsey books I've read show the heroine to be too...righteous and pigheaded. This one is no exception. Anthony Mallory was a sweetheart. And what did he get for all his troubles? A prolonged seat on the couch. Roslynn was being way too stubborn on not believing Anthony didn't cheat on her. I didn't expect Anthony to keep on defending himself when Roslynn wouldn't even hear any of it. Thank goodness she finally gets it together at the end. It was about time! I'm a big gal on family and I do love the Mallory's. I love the banter that can only be associated between those who have unconditional love for each other.

Summary: The Mallory's *sigh* Johanna Lindsey's best series
Review: Okay, first off I must tell you this is not going to be run down on the plot but will be a review on what I thought of the book so there will be *SPOILERS*

I must start by saying that I love Johanna Lindsey's historical romance novels, she's the queen in my eyes! I completely adore the Mallory series and I will always claim them as my favourite. But I suppose it's my fault that I read Gentle Rogue first (3rd book in the series). I was completely blown away by it; James and George have to got to be my favourite couple of all time! James is most definitely my favourite Mallory male and he is just utterly wonderful. I like his humour, his strength, his passion and his abundant loyalty to his family even though he hides it. Generally I would have preferred the Anthony type male (tall, athletic, dark hair, and blue eyes). But James (6ft, brawny muscle, blond hair and green eyes) would simply take my breath away times and he's damn fictional! George of course was his ideal match in every way. She is beautiful, but that never seemed to over ride her character or define her in James eyes, her personality truly was what made her stand out to me - tenacious, funny and intelligent.

After realising this was a series (I always check now, just in case) I ordered Love Only Once (1st in series). I did enjoy it, Regan is great and Nicholas has his moments, but I tended to really just keep reading to find out more about James than anything (though it was good, I loved Nicholas blatant desire for Regan, he never hid it from her, the scene when he abducts her is very good). Then ordered Tender Rebel, and well for the first few pages I was completely uninterested (not a Mallory in sight). Roslynn was, hmmm, I won't say she bored me exactly, but there was nothing about her that interested me except when she slipped into her Scottish brogue which added a certain charm to her. Anthony was Anthony - delightful, but I just cannot see why he would be so bowled over by Roslynn so suddenly (I know it was a great deal of lust, she hadn't even spoken to him). James does allude to love at first sight half way through the book but surely a rakehell like Anthony is use to very beautiful women? Surely someone as hardened and disdainful as he is, Roslynn should never had affected him so. I also found the subplot to why Roslynn was trying to marry was annoying and dreary. The so-called villain was weak and stupid, and Roslynn really had no motivation to flee Scotland and do what she did. Her determination to believe low of Anthony at every turned was again annoying. He was a self-proclaimed rake yes, we know that, but he had never given her reason to doubt him so suddenly. Of course one could argue she was falling in love and trying to fight it, but that I find feeble and inexcusable and how she kept thinking Jeremy was Anthony's son even though everyone kept telling her he wasn't. Roslynn came across as stupid (surely she could have had a background check done on Anthony about his finances), with a decided lack of trust, and too emotional. I think Lindsey used her Scottish heritage as an excuse to let act like a b*tch whenever she felt like it!

The best part in this book was the dialogue. Funny and snappy, I tended to skim until I found it. But of course, there was James (yet again *sigh*) and the bits with him in it were my favourite. I loved reliving the moment when he and George encounter one another, and she kicked him in the shins. Anthony's teasing about her was hilarious and James reaction to her is great!

I don't want to finish this review on such a note though. The Mallory Series is wonderful and I guess I ruined it for myself by reading James and George's journey first. If you can start with the first one and go in order, I strongly suggest you do.

Summary: OUTSTANDING!
Review: Once again, she out did herself! I really enjoyed this too. Could not put it down! Tony is my favorite Malory yet. From the time they both set eyes on each other, there was so much passion between them. I would highly recommend this one!

Summary: Uncle Tony's own seduction
Review: Sequel to the first Malory novel- Love Only Once. The story is heart warming, definitely not to be miss by Lindsey's fans and those who dearly loved the Malory. Better than before, this story revolves Anthnoy Malory, the uncle to Regina Eden and Roslynn Chadwick, a Scottish heiress. A whirlwind of instant attraction and bold romance between both of them will ties them in a stormy marriage. With Roslynn's little trust on her own heart, she defies Anthony even after the marriage. Thier marriage was definitely having lots of ups and downs, and doses of adventures before both knew that their heart was stolen by the other. Definitely a keep for the Malory fans!

Summary: Malory Series Part 2
Review: Set in 1818 London. Rosalynn Chadwick, Scottish beauty and rich heiress flees Scotland and her fortune hunting cousin, Geordie Cameron, who is out to get his hands on her money by forcing her into marriage. Rosalynn decides to enter London society in order to find a suitable husband who will protect her from the unwanted attentions of Geordie.

During her second ball, whilst trying to escape from the persistent but clumsy Lord Bradley, Rosalynn disappears into the garden and runs straight into Lord Anthony Malory, a most handsome black haired, blue eyed rakehell. "...and she was staring at him with a new look, obvious fascination, and he was glad that women found him appealing to the senses." However, Rosalynn had been warned before about rakes and "He was one of them, one of the 'not to be considered'."

I was looking forward to Anthony's story after reading about him in Love Only Once. As with the previous book, I found this book to be a run of the mill regency romp. I did find that Rosalynn spent too much time of the novel being jealous and angry at Anthony but then where would the fun be without the antagonism? You'll enjoy the book anyway if you are a JL fan like myself.

Don't miss James' story in Gentle Rogue, the next in the series.

Summary: Magnetic
Review: The only way to describe the character of Anthony Malory is Magnetic. The scene when Ros sees him for the first time is brilliant. I didn't want to put the book down.

Summary: Destiny brought them together . . .
Review: The second in Ms. Lindsey's Malory Family series is, quite possibly, the best. _Tender Rebel_ is the story of Anthony Malory (you'll remember him from _Love Only Once_), possibly London's most notorious rake, and the Scottish beauty who tames him.

Roslynn Chadwick has spent most of her 25 years sequestered at her grandfather's home in the Scottish Highlands. She's had little time for the life of a debutante, thus the reason she's managed to stay unwed at such an advanced age (in that time, of course, it was unthinkable for a woman to reach 25 without having been married at least once). Now her grandfather has died, leaving his vast empire in her care and her with the promise to marry quickly to keep that wealth away from her scheming cousin Geordie. With Geordie on her heels, Roslynn escapes to London, hoping to enter society and find a suitable husband.

Anthony Malory is perfectly happy with his rakehell life until the day he sees Roslynn sneaking out of a ballroom to escape the amorous advances of a throng of suitors. From that moment on, though he's even loath to admit the reason to himself, he does everything within his power to convince Roslynn that none of the men she's considering for marriage will suit her at all. He's settled it in his mind that she'll be his, and he won't back down until he's accomplished his goal.

If you're familiar with the Malorys (and you really should read the first book in the series, _Love Only Once_, before attempting this one) you'll be more than pleased with Anthony's story. Roslynn is the perfect match for Anthony -- bold, independent and just jealous enough to keep someone with his reputation in line.

Unlike many of the other reviewers, I feel that Ms. Lindsey was extremely true to Tony's character. He reacted just the way I'd imagined he would when the day finally came that he fell in love. The plot was engaging, the humor refreshing as always, and the love story was tempered with just enough angst to make it believable.

Once you're done with this book, be sure to look up the next in the series, _Gentle Rogue_, for the story of Tony's older brother James. That story picks up during this one and ties both of the books together beautifully.
