Review: After reading The Magic of You, I just had to read the other books of the "Malory Series," and I must say that this book did not dissapoint. I loved the humor, the plot, and the story line. Johanna Lindsey really pulled another winner out of her magic bag of tricks. I loved it!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: #2 in the Mallory series Review: Anthony is the youngest Mallory brother and one of London's biggest rakes. Scottish born Roslynn flees to London to escape her greedy cousin when her grandfather leaves her his entire fortune. Now Roslynn is desparate to find a husband so her cousin will leave her in peace. Anthony realizing his feelings for her decides to fill that role, but is stunned by the conditions Roslynn wants to put on their marriage. She wants him. That is undeniable, but she is terrified to give him her heart. This book is one of Lindsey's best. Anthony is magnetic and held my heart. Roslynn is nervous and unsure, but a very likable character. You cheer them on and you read their story and renew your acquaintance with the whole Mallory family.

One of the best books I have ever read. Truely 5 Star material. Can't wait for more Malory Novels to come to the neighborhood Book Store.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Everyone Loves Anthony! Review: Anthony of "Tender Rebel" is absolutely delicious. A "connoisseur of women," Anthony is a gorgeous, wonderfully charming rake who spends the entire book trying to win the heroine's love (which he doesn't realize he has). He is one of those characters you could imagine as real: an (extraordinarily handsome) regular guy with wicked wit, a penchant for the gym, and lots of buddies to get drunk and have fun with. He's not a knight scaling castle walls. He's not a prince or swashbuckling pirate. He's not even out for revenge. He's actually the kind of guy you could run into on the street...which makes you oh-so wistful, wanting him for your very own.
Anthony first appeared as Regina's adorably angry rakehell uncle in "Love Only Once," stealing the show in the first of the fantastic Malory Family series. "Tender Rebel" is the second of seven books (as of 2004). I love "Tender Rebel," which is bursting with wit, passion, and lovable characters. Both Anthony and Roslynn are made for each other - the "confirmed bachelor" and Scottish beauty have eyes for no one else. Yet Roslynn, terrified of Anthony's scandalous reputation, refuses to fall in love with him. Too bad for Anthony, who must struggle to win her over.
Roslynn has other problems besides having the most desirable man in London lusting after her. The strong-willed heiress must get herself married NOW before her fortune-hunting cousin forces her into matrimony. She agrees to let Anthony advise her on who to marry. Big mistake, since he wants her for himself.
Add to the mix Anthony's many family members (especially retired pirate James and his rowdy son Jeremy), a quaint Scottish brogue, and a rather sensual use for a chair, and you have a delightful tale of love and marriage in "Tender Rebel."
Plus, as an added bonus, "Tender Rebel" sets-up James' high-seas romance in "Gentle Rogue," the third in the Malory Family series.
All in all, "Tender Rebel" is a most wonderful read. Just remember to read "Love Only Once" first, so you get to meet Anthony before you read about his seductive romance in "Tender Rebel."

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: 2nd book of the Malory Series Review: First off, here is the series in sequence: 1. Love Only Once 2. Tender Rebel 3. Gentle Rogue 4. The Magic of You 5. Say You Love Me 6. The Present: The Malory Holiday NovelBecause Anthony (and James) are my two favorite uncles in LOVE ONLY ONCE, I was so excited to read this 2nd book of the series. I couldn't wait to find out who would be the lucky lady to sweep Anthony off his feet and what his story would be, I was not disappointed. The story line, twist and secondary characters truly made a big effect. The usual spice of the Malory Family especially the updates of Regina and Nicholas thoroughly entertained me. The reason why I didn't rate this book a 5 stars was cuz in my opinion, Anthony fell in love too quickly. It's just a teeny weeny unsatisfaction... His actions were abrupt and uncool considering he is London's biggest rake. I guess I expected more of him, i just wasn't convince... its was all too soon for me. Roslynn wasn't a bad heroine, she was level headed, kind hearted and witty but perhaps my mistake was that i compare her to Regina who is my favorite of all Malory. I decided to finish reading the whole series before i write the reviews so i can compare it all. Love Only Once & The gentle Rogue is my favorite of all 6 in the series. However, this book is still a great read. Despite that small niggel mentioned above, I still recommend this book to anyone especially those who started reading the Malory series.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Uncle Tony's story (Malory# 2) Review: For those who have read the first Malory book, Love Only Once, and fell in love with Uncle Tony, then you'd surely be delighted with this book, which tells the downfall of Regina's most favorite uncle.
Across the border at the Scottish Highlands, Lady Roslynn Chadwick has recently lost her beloved grandfather and has now been left a fortune so obscene that she finds herself on the run from her cousin, Cameron, who intends to get his hands on her money by forcing her to marry him. She seeks shelter from her childhood friend in London, Lady Frances Grenfell, whose help she's also enlisted in finding her a suitable husband so that she may fulfill the promise she's made to her grandfather. And so she makes her debut to the haute ton where she soon meets one of London's most notorious rakehell.
On the night that Regina finds herself without an escort to one of the balls she's attending, Anthony, being the overprotective uncle that he is, reluctantly escorts her. But when Roslynn inadvertently comes to his hiding corner out in the garden, his rakish senses went on overdrive and for the first time in many years, he finds himself venturing into the ballroom in pursuit of her. And when Regina realizes this, she decides to play matchmaker.
Anthony is your typical rake - sexy, unnerving, and oh-so-masculine. Roslynn is a feisty Scot who puts him in his place. The way Anthony 'helps' her find a husband made me laugh. I liked the part when he lied to her about her prospective husbands in order to discourage her. The way he exaggerated all their supposed unsuitability was fun to read. His seduction of her makes for an exciting read too, along with the competition that his brother James provides. The verbal sparring between him and James, and Regina's husband Nicholas, makes for an entertaining read as well.
Just like the first Malory novel, Tender Rebel is a fun, light-hearted read. Read this and see how a sheltered Scottish millionairess tames one of London's rakes. You won't be disappointed.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This Tender Rebel Will Touch Your Heart! Review: I adored Reggie's rakehell uncle in "Love Only Once" and could not imagine who would be able to capture his heart... But Lindsey accomplished the impossible with Roslynn! The balcony scene when they first meet is so precious, and the conservatory scene so sensual, I can't stop coming back to read it again and again. PS. "The Present" - The tale of the black-haired, cobalt-blue-eyed "gypsy" grandmother of the Malory clan and the long-awaited love story of the ever-serious elder Jason are wonderful. PLUS it brings back those two lovable uncles, Tony & James just in time for Christmas! A great present! Thank You Lindsey! I Love the Malory's and PRAY there are more to come! What about Edward's story or Jeremy?! And Reggie/Regan's matching-making plans for the Anderson Brothers?!

Tender Rebel and Gentle Rogue are by far my favorite books of all time I read them again and again and never get tired of them. I can't wait for Jeremy's story, I just hope it's as sexy, funny and heartwarming as James and Tony's stories, they hooked me on Lindsey forever!
