Summary: Boring
Review: This is a story of a 33 year old man who has traveled the world, and a 28 year old woman who has been in love with him since she was 17. That is about all the importance given us as the reader to the hero? and heroine? From there on we could get out the crayons and coloring paper. This would be good reading for my 5 year old and she would be bored I am sure. What tripe!!!!!! And I hate that I paid good money for it. No love, no romance, no humor and no time to waste on garbage.

Summary: Penelope gets her man
Review: This was well worth the wait. This is another can't-put-down book by Julia Quinn. It was great to see Penelope get her man after all those lonely years. I can't wait to find out what Eloise is up to. Hopefully, it won't be too long of a wait.

Summary: Good, but not the best
Review: While this book is as well written as all of the "Bridgerton" series, it lacks the "momentum event" that propells the others (that is, a couple suddenly thrown together under exciting and/or mysterious circumstances). It's a straight-forward, "he-finally-notices-she" romance, and it takes a good fifty pages to warm up and get moving. If you already know these characters, you'll find those first few pages tedious. Apart from that, I can't fault the quality of the book - Julia Quinn's are the most reliably well-written romances I buy. I purchased this the day it came out: and I look forward to Eloise Bridgerton's romance, which comes next in the series. She is, potentially, a much more dynamic heroine than Penelope, featured here. Penelope's long-unrequited love for Colin Bridgerton and submission to the put-downs and manipulation by her mother frankly, make her come across as a bit of a doormat/drip and is inconsistent with the otherwise clever and intelligence aspects of her nature.

Summary: Julia Quinn's Best (So Far)
Review: Its easy to see why it took more than a year for this book to come out--it is Julia Quinn's best so far. The characters were real, engaging and funny.

Unlike other series, J.Q. has managed to stay away from the trap of re-introducing old characters thereby losing focus on the main ones. Although familiar names appear, the story remains centered on the main characters.

The love story was very sweet especially since it was a love that blossomed between friends. There is no dark, brooding hero and no helpless heroine either; just a man and a woman both likeable and decent who found each other {{{sigh}}}. I am looking forward to the next installment.

Summary: The greatest so far in the series....
Review: Alas, Julia Quinn has finally done it. "Romancing Mr. Bridgerton" is the forth book to the Bridgerton brother series and I would have to say this is the best so far. I have read the book about Anthony, which I found was boring, but it kept me enough to want to discover what happens to Daphane, and as it turned out, Daphane's book was more exciting than Anthony's story. And of course, after reading about Daphane, Quinn left a cliff hanger that I could not resist.

The story of plain Penelope and one of the most well-known and sought bachelor, Colin Bridgerton.

This forth book was everything I had wanted to be. The dialogues between Colin and Penelope were great. It was witty and funny. And what else is great is that it kept me on my toes of who the infamous Lady Whistletown is. It brings in the former characters in previous books and brings in new characters that I have come to laugh at (Lady D). This is a book with some and not a lot of sensuality in it. But for me, it is enough to be romantic. I suggest fans of the Bridgerton series read this book. It leaves me for hanging more of what will happen. Good Job Ms. Quinn~!

Summary: Fun Summer Read
Review: Another great read from Julia Quinn just in time for summer reading! As always, I love the characters with their usual humor and engaging dialogue.

Summary: Sigh.........
Review: Colin and Penelope....finally! I read this book in one day. It was wonderful. Penelope has always been one of my favorite characters in the Bridgerton series because she was so ordinary. She wasn't a raving beauty or a duchess or countess(I never knew England had that many peers of the realm anyway!) but she went to the parties and muddled through, somehow. She was the butt of many jokes by a nasty, mean-spirited girl that I know reminded everybody of someone they knew in school. If not then YOU probably were that girl(for shame).
I can't say much more without giving away some major plot twists. But the Lady Whistledown mystery is solved to my everlasting satisfaction. Yeah!, Wow!, I knew it all the time! This is a good book and if you like all the Bridgertons as much as I do, don't pass on this latest but probably not the last installment. Thanks Julia Quinn for another enjoyable read and I guess I'll have to wait until(ulp) 2003 until the next book comes out.

Summary: I know who lady whistledown is <smile> not telling though...
Review: As you may have figured out, in this installment of the Bridgerton series, we finally find out who is Lady Whistledown. Although I would love to blurt it out, I will let you read the book yourself <smile>. In the past 3 Bridgerton Books, you catch glimpses of Poor Penelope and all you can do is hope that someday she will get her man Colin Bridgerton. Well finally she has her own book and indeed she gets her man. The only complaint that I could have with this book as that They barely spend much time together before Colin is falling in love. I wish Quinn played the romancing part out a bit more. But it still was a great novel that I could not put down and in fact read in 1 and 1/2 days. I really can't wait to read Eloise's story and I wonder where she disapeared to?

Summary: Delightful and charming!
Review: I have been in anticipation of this book since the series started. I bought the book yesterday, and read the whole thing last night (yawn!). I have been enchanted with Penelope since the beginning, and was so excited to see that she was finally getting her own book. The story overall was very strong, although I felt Penelope and Colin acted a little childish at times. The 'unmasking' of Lady Whistledown was very exciting as well, especially at the end of the book. This is the best book of the series yet!

Summary: Ties Up the Four Bridgerton Books Nicely
Review: For three "Bridgerton" books we have read about Penelope Featherington's wallflower ways and poor choice of gown colour through a thrice weekly gossip column. Finally, Julia Quinn has created a book about Penelope and shifts our view to the world of the Bridgerton's and of the antics of the ever charming third Bridgerton brother, Colin.

Julia Quinn has created yet another satisfying book that will again enchant her readers as well as help resolve that little bit of mystery that has left her loyal readers pondering in frustration......who is Lady Whistledown???
