Summary: Enjoyable, but not a keeper
Review: I enjoyed reading ROMANCING MISTER BRIDGERTON; I even laughed aloud at times, but, and it's a big but, there's something missing. I think that it's depth of characterization and plot.
There's not enough meat there to sustain the story. It's just not a keeper for me.

Summary: Julia Quinn keeps getting better!!!
Review: I don't consider myself an expert on literary matters, but I read A LOT of romance novels (mostly regencies), and I LOVED this book. Books in a series do not always live up to the anticipation, but Colin and Penelope's story surpassed my expectations.

Colin is just the sweetest thing! I love how different from his brothers he is. It is obvious that Julia Quinn becomes immersed in her characters and story lines because this book, the fourth Bridgerton story, shows that the entire series was thought out to perfection.

Julia Quinn's Bridgerton series is now at the TOP of my list with Stephanie Lauren's Cynsters and Johanna Lindsey's Malorys. I will eagerly await Eloise's story in early 2003, because I know that I won't be disappointed...

Summary: Yeah another good one!!!!!
Review: If you have never read a Bridgerton nove than your in for a treat. This family is just plain ol' funny their great kinda what a family should be like.
If your looking for a book full of action than this book is not for you but if you like to laugh try to get your hands on a copy.
Colin and Penelope are great they don't really have problems like they come from diffrent countries and their love is forbiden but their just two people with every day problems.

Summary: predictably predictable
Review: Julia Quinn is one of my favorite authors. I always enjoy the passionate innocence of her stories. Penelope was one of her best main characters-- a lot less exaggerated in personalities. However, I just couldn't laugh or blush as much as I did with the first books. You know the moments when you could die right along with the characters.

Summary: Julia Quinn Does it again
Review: I just finished Romancing Mister Bridgerton and it was GREAT! The story (without giving away anything) keeps you reading. Colin and Penelope are a great match and harray for Penelope, she needed a break!
Its a great book and a MUST read as well as all the other Bridgerton books.

Summary: Another Great Bridgerton Romance!
Review: While it is not my favorite of the Bridgerton series, this is a wonderfully enchanting romance. I especially love the description of Colin and Penelope's first kiss - amazing writing, Ms. Quinn! The book's dialogue is fast, witty and fun. I read this book in less than 24 hours and highly recommend it to all romance fans!

Summary: Only downside? 6 months until the sequel!!!
Review: The Bridgerton series gets better with each installment. We had gotten to know Penelope Featherton in the previous books, but this story allowed us to get to know her even better. Now resigned to her fate as a spinster alongside Eloise Bridgerton, Peneolpe gets caught up with the rest of the ton and their search for the real identity of Ms. Whistledown. As with the other books we get to know the Bridgerton family members even better. Plus we get to check back in with Anthony, Benedict, Daphne, and their own ever growing families.

The only negative aspect to this book is the fact that I will have to wait another 6 months for the next book in the series. Get this book, and all the others if you haven't already!

Summary: Brilliant and Lovely Characters and Story!!!
Review: What a great book!!! I've been waiting with great anticipation for this book to be released ever since I read the teaser in "An Offer from A Gentleman." Colin has always been my favorite Bridgerton because of his great wit and ease. I was very pleased to see how JQ had given Colin's character more depth without ruining his charm. It was very nice to see a hero who wasn't brooding over a very serious problem from his past but had personal issues that dealt with insecurities and simple confusions.

Penelope Featherington was a perfect compliment to Colin. She's witty and although burdened by her own insecurities of being a wall-flower her entire life, she proves to be a strong (yet caring) woman in the sometimes very cruel ton.

JQ manages to reinvent these well-known characters from the Bridgerton series without ruining their endearing personalities. I loved how she brought back past characters from her other books. It was a great surprise to read about Lucas and Jane Hotchkiss and to find out that they're both old enough to be in the marriage mart. Also the supporting characters were a great compliment to the story. I couldn't help but smile to see another side of the usually cruel and very feared Lady Danbury.

Overall, this was just a splendid book with lots of laughter and tears as the relationship between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington gradually grows from friendship to love.

Summary: Tepid!
Review: This was not one of her better books! The romance was tepid, the love scenes....what love scenes? Colin is a shallow little boy with a "poor pitiful me" attitude and Penelope is well, to put it nicely, BORING!! There was very little chemistry between the two and what was there was room temp. at best. This one is definitely not a keeper on my shelf.

Summary: Another winner from Julia Quinn
Review: Another great book from J. Quinn. I was almost afraid to get my hopes up, as this is #4 in a series (and many series do not age well). However, I think this is the best one yet!

This is the fourth book in the Bridgerton series, starring Colin Bridgerton. Julia Quinn does a very good job of making each of the hero/heroine pairs have their own personalities, and doesn't just make them cookie cutter copies of the heros/heroines of previous books. In this episode, Colin is searching for some meaning to his life, rather than just stay rich and idle. Penelope (who has loved him since she was 16) has a very good handle on what is meaningful in life, which draws Colin to this woman he has known, and ignored, for much of his life.

This book is a great read, fun, and really lets the characters fall in love and grow, without the cliche "big misunderstanding".
