Summary: What a romance book should be
Review: I remember reading this book for the first time back in 1993. God, how I loved this book... I finally had a chance to read it again recently and I still can't stop thinking about it. This book will make you want to read more of Judith McNaught's work. Like it did when I read it as a 14 year old girl, it still makes me feel like I had just been in a emotional whirlpool. It'll make your heart ache when Meredith and Matt hate each other so much - and also when they love each other so much! It'll make you feel like crying at one moment, laughing in the next second, literally! That is what McNaught's books so wonderful. I don't want to spoil much of the story so this is all I'll say - after all these years, this book still remains as my one of 3 favorite ronamce novels (all by McNaught, I'm afraid), "Whitney, my love," "Something wonderful," and this, "Paradise."

Summary: Good but too many words.
Review: This was a good story. When Matt and Meredith were together it held my interest. I cared about them. I do believe that the author used too many words to tell this story and that is why I gave it 3 stars. The middle section of this story is too wordy and Long. I was anxious to get to the meat of the story. Also, I felt a lot of anger with Mer's father and found it rediculous that he could get away with his controling behavior. I just wanted to get to the happy ending and get this book over with. I didn't care for how the negative parts were so dragged out. Read Kingdom of Dreams, Whitney My Love, and Until You. These stories are fantastic!!!

Summary: Paradise
Review: Paradise is truly one of my all time favorite books, and it is one of the few books that I have read multiple times. The dialogue is sharp, the plot line(s) are cleverly developed and woven into a compelling love story, which is punctuated with suspense and intrigue. Have a box a tissues handy and a free weekend when you begin this book, because you won't be able to put it down. This novel is Judith McNaught at her very best.

Summary: The Best
Review: This was one of the best books I have ever read. From the minuted I got home, the book never left my hand. I walked around the kitchen cooking and reading at the same time. This book is about 700 pages long, and I read it in three days! If you like a modern day love story-READ THIS BOOK.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: truly inspiring, romantic, and left me breathless.
Review: WHAT STARTED WITH WHITNEY, MY LOVE, AND THEN WITH PARADISE. MRS MCNAUGHT HAS TRULY GOT ME INTRESTED IN ANYTHING SHE WRITES. I CANT PUT ANY OF HER BOOKS DOWN. THEY CAPTURE MY HEART, AND I LOVE READING THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN. THIS BOOK WAS ABSOLUTELY A TEAR JERKER, IT MADE ME ANGER, ALL THE MANIPULATION, AND NOT TRUSTING IN THERE LOVE. REGARDLESS, YOU WILL LOVE MERIDETH AND MATT, AND KEEP WISHING FOR THEM TO GET OVER THERE STUBBORNESS, AND JUST LOVE EACHOTHER. BUT THERE PAIN IS REAL, AND ONLY BEING HONEST ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED CAN HELP THEM HEAL. CAN IT BRING THEM TO GETHER. IF YOU LOVE JUDITH MCNAUGHT AS I DO, YOU WILL LOVE THIS ONE. IN FACT I AM BUYING THREE MORE OF HER BOOKS AT THIS VERY MOMENT. I CAN CONFIDENTLY SAY, I WILL WALK AWAY FROM ALL HER BOOKS AS IF I HAVE LIVED THE LIVES OF HER CHARATERS. DONT YA JUST LOVE A BOOK THAT MAKES YA LAUGH, CRY, AND TOTALLY FALL IN LOVE TIME AND TIME AGAIN. I WOULD GET THIS ONE.

Summary: McNaught's best ever!!!
Review: I have read many JM books, but this is my absolute favourite. I adored Matt Farrell and I think he is JM's best hero. It was witty and touching, and a real page turner. If you haven't read Paradise get it now. You won't be disappointed!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You read the book, you feel like you are in there (paradise)
Review: JM is simply the best chef in romance delicatessen. She combined all the cliche ingredients in romance fiction, and looked what she did, a paradise for our sensual palate.

Some of the readers reflected that they were concerning about the length of book at first, I awared that lately, all the length of romances are restricted at only around 300-400 pages. I don't understand the practice, however, personal I think that limited the writers' ability to estiblish the need characteristic of the background information that make the story sound human and believable to us.

I especially like the build up of the relationship between Meredith and Liza (the interior designer). That was human. You cannot isolate the heroine from the space, and want us to beleive that she is human. That made Meredith's action looked reasonable. I like JM's Perfect, Whitney, my love and Paradise the best.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: a beautiful love story
Review: Paradise is one of the best books I have ever read, and as an English major I have read many. Matt and Meredith are true soul mates, who share a great love that most people can only dream of sharing. I own most of JM's books, but put them aside as I started college. I finally finished, so my friend and I dug through boxes of my old books to read this summer, and we rediscovered this wonderful book and have read it so many times that we have much of it memorized! Read this book and you will fall in love with Matt and wish he were yours! Although it is long, you wish it would never end, because it is truly beautiful the emotional the whole way through.
