Summary: I enjoyed reading this story....
Review: ...but I felt it was filled with many contrasts. The writing style was superb. Reading Ms. MacNaught's book was paradise for the reader weary of books seemingly thrown together just to get published. No short choppy phrases or uncomfortable sentence structures. Meredith is a well developed character who, despite the odds against her, grows into a self assured corporate execuative. I like Matt as a character as well, and would have liked to have seen some more of the story line designated to him. There was one scene in the beginning of the book which focused on Matt that had no connection to the plot, it just seemed placed there for the sex content. Ms. MacNaught could have used the scene to build Matt's hatred towards rich women, but she didn't. In contrast, there were numerous stories about Meredith and Lisa growing up, leaving Matt's background seemingly neglected and leading the reader to see his character as not as strong or full as it could have been.

Matt and Meredith's relationship is complex and heartwarming to read. Although 11 years is a long time, and a lot can happen, this time was needed to let the characters mature. My only critisism of the plot itself, was that it was fairly predictible. There were no surprises. If you like a long read, with colorful characters and an enjoyable plot, then pick this one up!

Summary: Stimulating, enthralling, intriguing, and educational!
Review: This was the first novel of Judith Mcnaught's that I ever read. It was also my first romance, and to say the least, I was a little shocked by some of the explicit content in the novel. Hey, this is coming from a then 14 year old, former private school girl! Having stumbled upon it one day in the fiction section of the library, I went home and read the book. I did not put it down the whole time. Reading Paradise really opened up a whole new world for me, a world which I would never have discovered if I kept my old thoughts and views. Not only is it a good romance, it also contains a lot of information on the struggles of the power-hungry business world. I have to admit that this was a little difficult and a bit boring at first, but I gradually got used to it and the business dimension of the novel really added to the book's distinctive style. So there you have it---fairy tales, romance, love, and a slice of education on the side. What more could you ask for? This is definitely a book worth reading.

Summary: Brava, Judith!
Review: This was by far Judith's book ever. It's a contemporary fairy tale; I know that's a contradiction in terms, yet it aptly describes Paradise. It touched me like no other book ever has and I will remember Matt and Meredith's story forever.

Summary: This is Judith McNaught at her best.
Review: This is one of the best romance novels I've ever read. Matt and Meredith are forever etched in my memory as lovers for all time. The best part of the book is when she goes to meet him at his family home, nurses him through a fever and then tells him that she had a miscarriage, not an abortion. My heart ached for them both. If you loved this book, you'll also love Paradise. My best girlfriend and I and our daughters often sit around the kitchen table discussing who we feel should play the roles of Matt and Meredith if they ever made Paradise into a movie.

Summary: A Good Book, Indeed !
Review: I first time read Judith McNaught's book when my friend lend me, and I keep reading her books since then. This 'Paradise' is a good book. The characters are alive !! It's a very romantic story with a perfect character, a wealthy handsome man and a beautiful woman. I just love this book !!! Don't forget to read Judith's other books, such as Something Wonderful, Perfect, Until You, Almost Heaven, believe me, you won't regret it !

Summary: a fast-paced heart grabbing never put me down page turner
Review: The characters are larger than life, the dreamy, handsome man with little wealth meets an a beautiful, warm heiress. Even though there is chemistry and huge bond that brings them together, they are torn apart by their different worlds, by their differences, and huge misunderstandings. Now fate has brought them together again, its so painfully sweet. Great ending! There is closure for all the characters.

Summary: GREAT! GREAT! GREAT!
Review: I read this book years ago, and still remember it. Even now, when I have nothing else to read I skim through it. It's the best book she's ever written. I wish she would keep it up. I haven't read a book from her since that can compare.

Summary: Tremendously exciting from beginning to end.
Review: The book had a slow beginning but once I read over 100 pages I just could not put it down! I haven't read such an exciting book for a long time and thoroughly enjoyed the moment to increase my pulse and heart-beat.

Summary: Not one of her best
Review: Although I love Judith McNaught's work, I did not like this book as much. The characters and the plot were very interesting. However, I did not like the fact, at all, that Meredith had slept with Parker and then Parker sleeps with her best friend, Lisa. This is almost obscene in that, in the end, when they are all best friends, three of those friends have all slept with each other. The picture would have been complete if somehow, Matt had slept with Lisa, so that they would have all known each other intimately.

Summary: Meredith and Mattew
Review: A very touching story. I just love how Judith McNaught gives a background view of her characters, of how they became who they are. Meredith fell in love with Matthew when she was young, and even they married each other and were willing to make it work, things like family and pride came between them. Many years later, they come together again, and Meredith realizes that she never stopped loving Matthew. Matthew, who became a very rich and successful man, sees Meredith and ends up falling in love with her all over again. New problems develop, and threaten their love once again, and once again, obstacles arise, and they have to find a way to make their love survive... The story is very touching and it is definitely a must-read. Make sure to read "Perfect" for a follow-up of this book, you won't regret it.
