Rating: Summary: Paradise is a true treasure! Review: I first read this book while going through a difficult time in my former marriage. It was around Christmas time and I needed to escape the troubles of real life. I had heard about this book through my then husband's mother. Reading this book made me cry and laugh, sometimes at the same time. In short time I fell in love with Matthew Allen Farrell and realized that true love conquers all. I fell in love with him when he was still struggling for success and when he found it. He became a symbol of what every woman needs in a husband: chivalry, honesty, true unyielding love, compassion, passion, drive, and the inner strength of a lion. Reading this book helped me confirm my belief in true love and that waiting for it was worthy of my time. A true Paradise!
Rating: Summary: Made for crying Review: It truly is written for crying. A classic triumph of love, presented in the most romantic tale. It deserves all five stars. But I have one comment - if I lost my child and my husband and if I'd found my love years after - wouldn't we go to our baby's grave?
Rating: Summary: Unforgettable Review: I read this book when I was in high school, and I am now in my second year of medical school. After all these years, I still think of Matt and Meredith. (Heck, I saw pictures of Grace Kelly in In Style Magazine, and thought.. "Meredith! Geez!) I remember EVERYTHING about Matt and Meredith, as if I've known them.. and I still wouldn't mind reading Paradise over when I get the chance. I've read all of McNaught, and this one has had the most lasting impact. My sister's now married, but she still asks me "Have you found your Matt Farell yet?" This book is McNaught at her best! Also, I found an appreciation for the "business world" McNaught drew me into.. that's the closest I'll probably ever get to it, and I thought it was very interesting.
