Summary: Pretty Good
Review: I'm a huge fan of Julie's books I reread all of them many times. I was not as impressed with Heartbreaker as her historical, but it was a totally different type of Romance. I think she recovered some with Mercy. I really enjoyed it. Dr. Mike's brother lived up to Julie's wonderful sense of humor. I would love to see her write more historicals. They really captured my attention. I have trouble finding another author that has manage to make me forget the outside world and just enjoy the characters in the book like she has. Please don't forget the historical.

Summary: Two thumbs up!
Review: This is my first by Julie Garwood, and I didn't want to put it down. She put in a little bit of everything--humor, romance, suspense, murder, and illegal goings-on. When Theo Buchanan falls for the beautiful surgeon (Michelle 'Mike' Renard) who performed his emergency appendectomy, he finds himself taking a break from his job as a federal prosecutor and ends up in a small Louisiana town called Bowen. Needless to say, things just snowball from there. I thought it was a wonderful cast of characters and will definitely follow-up with some of Garwood's other books.

Summary: Excellent Read
Review: I HAVE TO DISAGREE WITH SOME OF THE REVIEWER'S FIRSTLY ONE MUST FORGET ABOUT HER PREVIOUS BOOKS SINCE THEY WERE HISTORICALS.. AND LOOK AT THIS AND HEARTBREAKER AS A TOTALLY NEW VENTURE.. ACTION SUSPENSE... I LOVED THIS BOOK AS I DID HEARTBREAKER AND I LOVE THE FACT THAT SHE IS CONTINUING WITH THE CHARACTERS..AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED ITS MAKES VERY ENTERTAINING READING AND IF YOU LIKE LINDA HOWARD - NORA ROBERTS ETC.. THEN YOU'LL LOVE THIS BOOK AND HER PREVIOUS ONE HEARTBREAKER NICK AND LAURANTS STORY..
I SHALL LOOK FORWARD TO ANTICIPATION FOR MORE ABOUT THE BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF NICK.. AND NOT FORGETTING NOAH CLAYBOURNE.
JUST REMEMBER.. THOUGH THESE TWO BOOKS ARE NOT LIKE HER PREVIOUS ONES... I THINK HER SUSPENSE NOVELS ARE GREAT.. BUT IF YOUR INTO HISTORICAL WHY BY SUSPENSE IN THE FIRST PLACE.. AND KEEP AN OPEN MIND.. I MEAN THERE A LOT OF AUTHORS OUT THERE WHO LIKE TO WRITE DIFFERENT GENRES.. I MEAN IT MUST GET AWFULLY BORING..
I GIVE 5 STARS... AND I READ THIS BOOK IN ONE SITTING..

Summary: Mercy (Julie GarwoodO
Review: I have been a fan of Julie Garwood for years and have thoroughly enjoyed all her previous books. Her past books have had plots and characters that kept you reading until you finished the book. Mercy lacked the usual Garwood flair and was a "ho-hum" book. Will probably not buy another.

Summary: No Mercy
Review: I have to agree with KBrowning on this one. I fell in love with Julie Garwood when I read ONE PINK ROSE. When she's writing historicals, she's fantastic but with each of her contemporaries, she falls way short. Because it was Julie, I wanted to give her a chance but struggled to get through the first 3 chapters, hoping she'd redeem herself, but I couldn't stomach it. The premis of the story pulls the reader in, but that's all I can say that's good about this book. I wish she'd go back to writing the historicals and stay away from the suspense. If you haven't yet, don't waste your money on the hardcover. Do what I did and borrow it from the library.

Summary: Not her best
Review: I have been a Julie Garwood fan ever since I read 'The Gift'. After that I bought all of her books. I especially liked the medieval ones (The Bride, The Prize). Heartbreaker was a good book, I really liked it. But MERCY is a bit disappointing. It is still quite good, but not for me. I do not think I will buy a contemporary of Ms. Garwood in hardcover again. Sorry....

Summary: Excellent from Start to Finish
Review: This is a highly engrossing and fast moving tale, with intriguing characters, twisting plot lines, and a charming romance. I really liked how the author planted small clues early in the book and tied them all together at the end. Garwood has a deft hand with characterization as well, and this book is an extremely satisfying read on every level. Highly recommended!

Summary: Good Follow Up
Review: This book is a follow up to her last novel "Heartbreaker". In "Mercy" Garwood brings back Nick's brother, Theo Buchanan, who holds an esteem position with the U.S. Justice Department. He falls ill at a party, and literally falls into the arms of Dr. Michelle "Mike" Renard. It does have the feel of the Florence Nightengale syndrome. The book is fun. The characters are great. I hated to come to the end of this book. In this book they had a couple of stories going. They had conspiracy going on with a group of people that involved Dr. Mike. Theo comes to her rescue because he can't stop thinking about her. The book had suspense, romance, and drama. I hope that she continues to write about Mike's crazy brother and Theo's FBI friend in a future book.

Summary: Mercy--how long until her next book!?!?!
Review: I just LOVED this book! Julie Garwood has always been a favorite and her contempory novels are fantastic. I was surprised at the end. Also left waiting for her next novel in this series...PLEASE!
