Summary: Great book....
Review: i liked The Magic of You, but there are a few things i didn't care for. For one the age difference is 18 years .Now thats great and everything, but personally if someone in the relasionship could possibly be your parent, that's too big of a diff.Another reason would be is when Amy said straight out to Warren she wanted him. That's great! For once there was a woman in a historical novel who wasn't shy and quiet in the cases of things in the bedroom, most blush at anything the guy said. Amy was tough but cause she was only 17 going on to 18, she was a little naive.
Anyways, those are my thoughts, and Joanna Lindsey is a fantastic writer. I recommend all of her books, especially the Malory novels! Ahh*tear* :( i think i have read all them! I hope she writes a story for Drew Anderson- Georgina's brother! :)!!

Summary: Another Smash Hit
Review: In this book Johanna Lindsey continues with her women being outspoken, and her men being formiddable. Warren is a cold and unfeeling man except when Meghans back is turned. Megan is always one step away from just stripping naked and telling him to take her. Although the heroine in this book appears to be a little over board half the time she creates the most romantic of situations. Warren however will do anything he can to keep her from unfreezing his bitterly cold heart. The only way it unfreezes is by him loosing her love. Then he knows how cold life can be with out her.

Summary: Amy Mallory is Kinda Skanky!
Review: I read the "The Magic of You" in two days, it was so delightful. The fourth book in the Malory series, "Magic" revolves around 18-year old Amy Malory pursuing - and seducing - her unwilling groom-to-be, hotheaded, coldhearted Warren Anderson. Amy is definitely a Malory: she's bold, witty, and determined to get what she wants, even if the object of her affection absolutely refuses to fall for her (didn't those rakes, Anthony and James, as well as impish Regina, have the same problem?). Warren is an explosive man who is nursing a bitter resentment against marriage and the woman who played him false, forcing Amy to try anything and everything to melt his heart. It's hysterical to see how far she goes.

I enjoyed reading "Magic"; it had great Malory banter and brilliant family scenes, such as the whole family's reaction as Warren's sister Georgina gives birth. There were, however, a couple reasons I gave this book a 4 instead of 5. For one, a few of the Malorys I'd have liked to seen more of, like Regina, Nick, and Roslynn, barely made appearances. Of course, this is not a serious complaint, since this isn't their book, and I can read "Love Only Once" or "Tender Rebel" ay time I want to satisfy that desire. A real complaint, though, was the whole kidnapping thing. It really didn't add much to the story other than to get Amy and Warren in bed together (which occurs, finally, more than 300 pages into the book). The threat to their lives was an afterthought in relation to their rocky courtship. In addition, I thought referring to the Chinese as "Oriental" was rude, especially since the book was published in 1993 (and, honestly, I don't care if people actually said that word in the 1800s, because I can point out the English and American jargon, etc. used in this book aren't exactly accurate either). I also didn't like Taishi's silly broken English, which while I'm sure many people thought amusing, I thought in poor taste. Anyway, I hate to sound so PC, but that did bug me as I read it.

So that's my assessment of "The Magic of You," a vastly entertaining novel (with a few flaws) about two extremely stubborn people caught in the pursuit of love. To better enjoy this novel, I'd recommend reading the 3 that came before it ("Love Only Once," "Tender Rebel," and "Gentle Rogue") to really appreciate the characters and back-story.

Summary: This story is Magic!
Review: I'm pathetic. I read this book in 2 days then read it again the next 2 days! I had to re-read it because the story just capitvated me. I read the previous book "Gentle Rogue" (which I loved) and immediately sought out the seguel THE MAGIC OF YOU. Amy is 17-18 years YOUNGER than Warren! What??! Scandalous, indeed! And she was only 17 when she set her cap for him!!! I needed to fan myself down from this delightful scandal. She preyed him down like a hunter. I love the fact that Warren denied her so many times even though he wanted to pounce on her. He kept himself in check. My favorite part was when they were sitting around the dinner table and Jeremy blabbed out "Good God not him!". I peed on myself. I blushed like crazy.

Summary: The magic of love . . .
Review: _The Magic Of You_, the fourth book in the much-loved Malory saga, is the story of Amy Malory and Warren Anderson. Though Amy is only a minor character in the first three books of the series, and at first I was disappointed that Ms. Lindsey hadn't picked a more prominent character to write about, I was pleasantly surprised with this book.

Amy Malory may look like her cousin Regina, she may even have the ability to manipulate a situation like her cousin, but she's also inherited a fair amount of her personality from the male members of the Malory clan. Bold and brazen like her uncles Tony and James, Amy has set her sights on Warren Anderson (you'll remember him as Georgina's brother in _Gentle Rogue_) and nothing will stand in her way. Fresh from the schoolroom, Amy is far from naive. Though innocent in action, her unabashed personality is just the match for the iron-willed and often ruthless Warren.

Warren Anderson has little use for women other than to soothe the yearnings of his body. Played false by a beautiful woman he thought he loved, Warren's heart is hidden behind so many walls he's sure no one will ever hurt him again. From the first minute Warren meets Amy he's shocked by her bold advances and even as his body responds to her in a way he can't control, he uses his strong resolve to resist her charms.

Though I'm a fan of all the Malory books, I'd have to say this one ties for the best book of the series with _Tender Rebel_. Amy's forthrightness is refreshing and certainly a welcome change from the simpering, sighing maidens who can usually be found as heroines in this genre. And, appropriately enough, this ground-breaking heroine gets a hero who isn't a cardboard copy of all the rest. Warren is far from being the perfectly romantic and dashing hero. He's rough around the edges and needs some serious adjustment to his attitude.

I'm really surprised with the tepid reviews this book has received, since I think it's among the best of Ms. Lindsey's work. If you're looking for a fiery romance between two strong, independent and bold characters, look no further than Amy and Warren. I know you'll love them as much as I have.
