Rating: Summary: No Magic Here Review: I really enjoy reading Johanna Lindsey's books, especially the Malory series. When I picked up this book however, I quickly realized this is one of her weakest books. "The Magic of You" is the worst installment in the Malory series; even the bland "The Present" is better than "Magic." Both Amy and Warren are such flat, one dimensional characters it was hard for me to connect to them in any way. The only reason I continued reading this book was because of the scenes that included James and Georgina from "Gentle Rogue." I definitely do not recommend reading "The Magic of You" unless you are a diehard Malory fan and feel like you have to read all of the books in the series.
Rating: Summary: My Opinion Review: Not my favorite in the Malory series, but a must to read. See Reviewer "#4 in the Mallory Series". A Good review of the book. I'm not great on reviews, so I refer to others who have done a great job at it. A good story and wonderful addition to the Malory stories. My favorite of the Malory series is still "Gentle Rouge" where the Anderson family are introduced. I hope Lindsey's writes some books about them. Not just Warren. But you should read all the Malory books, they are all good.
Rating: Summary: One of the BEST in the Malory series Review: I am an absolute fan of JL, and my favorite in the Malory series, especially those that include the Anderson brothers! When you have both Anthony and James and you include the Anderson brothers you know sparks are going to fly. So when young Amy decides on the "worst" brother to be her future husband, not many people are going to agree, including the future groom himself. Warren is my kind of man, who doesn't let his feelings show and tries to push everyone away, but you have to love him on how protective he becomes with Amy! She is amazing because she is unexperieced in love and seduction but that is what wins him over. A MUST read, once you read 'The Magic of You' you will want to read the others. Keep them coming Ms. Lindsey, we love your Malory series!!!
Rating: Summary: Unique... different... I loved it Review: The title sums it up. This is one of my all time favorite novels. Having the woman chase the man was an interesting twist, and the characters were all engaging and the chemistry between them was good. Amy's character was just right, aggresive but not overdone.
Rating: Summary: #4 in the Mallory Series Review: Amy Mallory, Edward's youngest daughter, has just had her "coming out" in London society. But her heart has already been captured.. by the worst choice imaginable. Warren Anderson is Georgie's angry and sullen brother. (See "Gentle Rogue") His heart has been stomped on and he no longer trusts women. He is stunned when the lovely, young Mallory sets out to seduce him. He intends to remove himself from the presence of this witty, charming, mischevious, beauty and her troublesome family, but Amy knows that Warren needs her to melt the ice around his heart. I love this story. Amy is wonderful and determined to be the woman to bring love and happiness back to this man's life. Warren is not the typical, charming hero you might expect, but there is something there, deep inside that you know will soon come out. A great story and wonderful addition to the Mallory stories. (Could charming Drew Anderson be next?)
Rating: Summary: Different than the usual typical story Review: This is not a good bet for the Malory family die hard fans. But,the unusual can be expected since this story is about a woman's seducing on man. Our beloved Amy Malory was a daring woman, with many ideas on seducing Warren Anderson, James Malory's brother-in-law. Warren kept a secret of long lost love, and heart broken, he became a stubborn man. He didn't want to know the meaning of being in love again but Amy will surely try to change this conception and make Warren fall in love again -with her!
Rating: Summary: Truly Magical and Wonderful! Review: This has to be one of her best! I love the Malory series and this one was wonderful. I like the way this one had the woman taking charge and go after what she wanted! Amy has a great personality and knew what she wanted and went for it till she got it. What Warren needed most was her and her love. Truly Magical!!
Rating: Summary: ANOTHER WONDERFUL MALORY NOVEL Review: Johanna Lindsey writes another wonderful book about the Malory's. I love how Amy is so determined to win Warren. This book is a must read when Amy's uncles, James and Anthony ( who can't love it when they get together?) try to interfer with her and Warren. Read it, you'll love it! But make sure you read the others first!
Rating: Summary: Great ,Perfect I loved It! Review: It was a classic Malory novel. It had all the excitement you can expect from her novels. I loved Amy's refusel to except defeat in getting Warren. I couldn't put it down. Although I have to admit James and Tony's stories are my faves. That's why I give it four stars instead of five. This one was good! Way to go JL! Also I can't wait till she comes out with Jeremy's and Jack's stories. Keep them coming.
Rating: Summary: the Mallory's are HOT Review: The Mallory stories are the best. I love the whole series. If I had to name one absolute favourite, it would have to be 'The Magic of You'. I love the way Amy doesn't let Warren ignore her, no matter how hard he tries. Amy has alot of spirit and is exceedingly brazen, which both shocks and excites Warren. Warren just doesn't know how to handle Amy, or the passion that flares between them. All she wants to do is make him happy. How can he be happy if they aren't together? This is a firm favourite that I have read over and over again. Bring on more Mallory stories.
