Summary: Another great Malory!!!
Review: I have to admit that I took a little while to start this book, because the idea of a woman shamelessly chasing after a man is not what I have in mind when I think of a good romance. Well, shame on me!! This book was great because of that, not in spite of!! The way that Amy wears down Warren is great!! I love the scene on the boat during the storm!! Ooooohhhh, what a man! If only we could have men like that in real life, I would be one happy woman!!

Summary: Amy and Warren!!!
Review: I loved this book. I've read all other Malory novels and this one is by far the best one. Amy is NOT spoiled she just went for what she wanted which is to be admired. Warren wasn't the best of heroes but....oh well..... personally i love James!! Anyhow "The Magic of You" is my fave romance novel so far and strongly recomend it.

Summary: A Disappointment
Review: This book is awful, it's the worst of the Malory series and a real disappointment. I hated the lead characters especially Amy Malory, what a spoiled little brat! Her stupid behavior caused so many problems for everyone and the self absorbed twit just didn't care!

Summary: My Absolute Favourite
Review: This my favourite of the Mallory series and of all of Ms. Lindsey's books. AND one of my all time favourite romances period! Amy is the product of her Mallory upbringing and therefore completely in charge of her own life. She picks the most unsuitable, woman-hating, Mallory-hating, street-fighting sailor of a man to love. And of course her Uncles will stop at nothing to stop this romance, just like SHE"LL stop at nothing to get what she wants. Then there's the kidnapping which takes Amy and her sailor accross the Atalntic on a high seas adventure. I couldn't put the book down and I couldn't stop laughing either!

Summary: The Magic of You
Review: I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. Usually it's the man who is shown pursuing while the female resists. I LOVED that Amy knew what she wanted and went after him. I thought it was great. I wish more books were written showing an aggressive woman in pursuit of a man. Girl Power!

Summary: Amy and Warren are the perfect hero and heroine
Review: Amy Malory is just as spirited and determined as her brothers. So when she sets her sights on Warren Anderson, she vows he will be hers. But, this turns out to be almost more thatn even Amy could help. Because Warren was hurt in the past so badly, he trusts no woman, loves no woman, save his sister, Georgina. So, spirited Amy sets out to show Warren what true love can do to save the heart and soul. This is a sweet book, and one of my favorite Malory books.

Summary: Hero is Okay but Heroine is just plain Bonkers!
Review: The Magic Of You was somewhat enjoyable, I liked Warren and most of the Malory characters but I was disappointed with Amy she came across as not only being a spoiled selfish immature brat but she was also just too needy and and kind of a wacko, and if Warren came across to some as being a major grouch he certainly had the right to be with his having to deal with Amy's obnoxious behavior, and if Amy hadn't been so annoying I probably would have given the book a 5. Ok, I do like a strong independent heroine who is not afraid to be the pursuer in the relationship but a woman can be strong and independent and be the one who pursues the guy without comng across as being desperate and I didn't find Amy to be a strong woman but more like a bratty child and the thing with Warren was more like an obsession than love and I found her to be a little pathetic and it's a good thing that Amy is only a fictional character.

Summary: Good story but audio reader's lack of accents distracting!
Review: I listened to the audio recording of The Magic of You and though the story itself seemed interesting the reader because of her lack of English accents and not bothering to make her voice sound different for each character was annoying and distracting, it was fine for Warren, his sister Georgina and their brothers to have American accents but Amy and the rest of the Malory's should have had English acccents! The Magic of You it is about a flirty and kind of ditzy young lady named Amy Malory a niece of the Malory brothers who falls for an older American man, Warren Anderson brother of Georgina who is married to James Malory who is not to happy about young Amy's infatuation with Warren and when both Amy and Warren disappear he immediately assumes that Warren abducted Amy and sets to go after them but unknown to him Amy and Warren have actually been kidnapped by a ruthless enemy of Warren. I rated this a 2 only because of the reader's lack of proper accents and different voice sounds and if they had been used I could easily have given the audio version 4 stars. The audio cassette is abridged and I hope they rerecord it unabridged and with the proper accents and changes of voice sounds!

Summary: AWESOME
Review: Now, there are heroines and then there are HEROINES, and Ms. Lindsey creates one of the best in Amy. She is irresistible except perhaps to the man she is determined to marry. This is one of those page-turning stories that you cannot put down, made even more lively by the roles played by her delightful uncles, Tony and James. Frankly, I did not think five stars was high enough as a scale to rate this fabulous book.

Summary: The Magic of J.L.
Review: I have been a HUGE fan of Johanna Lindsey's for about a decade. I absolutely LOVE the Mallory series. While I enjoyed all the books in the series, I have to say that I enjoyed "The Magic of You" & "Love Only Once" the best. I really enjoyed seeing the story of Amy & Warren unravel. I also liked the fact that Nicolas Eden wasnt the only nephew in-law that brought out the sarcastic banter in my 2 favorite Mallory boys (Tony & James). I can only hope that Ms.Lindsey will continue to grace us with more tales of the Mallory (& Anderson) Clan. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, that she will grant us the stories of Jeremy Mallory & Drew Anderson (& any of the others). I highly recommend any of the Mallory series.
