Summary: 2nd book in the Lord series
Review: The first book "The Pirate Lord" first introduced Jordan, the Earl of Blackmore and his character was so interesting that he had to have his own book. Well this is his story. It starts off as the other ended at a ball where Jordan leaves with a woman he thinks is a widow only to find out that she is the innocent rectors daughter, Emily Fairchild. Emily thinks that he is her cousin since they are dressed the smae and it is a masquerade. when they realize their mistake they try to fix it before her reputation is ruined but first he must kiss her. The kiss will stay with both of them for months until the meet again. This time when they meet though she is Lady Emma Campbell and he is determined to solve the mystery of her masquerade. She can't tell him the real reason and when he finds out who she really is she begs him not to tell. She falls for him but he thinks himself incapable of feeling love and is determined not to feel anything for her but lust. This is a fast paced story with several twists. I enjoyed the banter between the characters and am looking forward to the next book in the series "The Dangerous Lord".

Summary: This Story Sizzles
Review: The Forbidden Lord is a wonderfully written story. The characters are colorful and lively. I couldn't wait to read the last page.

Emily Fairchild a meek responsible rector's daughter whose life is dull and boring is about to get the jolt of her life. Her best friend, Sophie, attempts to elope but her father Lord Nesfield thwarts her plans and sends her off to Scotland while he hunts down the scoundrel Sophie wants to marry. Emily refuses to help Lord Nesfield find the villan who would dare to marry his daughter so Lord Nesfield blackmails Emily. Emily is forced to masquerade as Lady Emma to find the man who has led Sophie astray.

Jordan Willis, the Earl of Blackmore, is intrigued by Lady Emma. He suspects her of being a fraud and does everything in his power to force her to admit she's a fake. Jordan unwittingly falls in love with Emma/Emily as the plot twists and turns. The Forbidden Lord keeps the reader intoxicated until the very end of the story.

Summary: Captivating
Review: This book captured my attention from beginning until the end. The whole story with Jordan and Emily was great. Emily was a woman who stood up for what she believed in, and I liked that. If your looking for a good romance, pick this book, it was great, but if you want to go in order, The Pirate Lord was the first one, and that was great as well.

Summary: BOY DID JORDAN GET HIS!!!
Review: This book is about the stepbrother of Sara Willis, the eventual wife of the "Pirate Lord" (I hope you read that one first, or else you will be seriously confused!!!) Jordan is one arrogant s.o.b.,but once you get into his sad life story, you understand where some of it comes from. Emily has a strong sense of principles and a puritan mindset, which Jordan quickly goes about destroying!!! These 2 are a match made in heaven, even though they both fought it like hell. A good, stormy romance that makes you want to slap the characters silly until they see the light!!! There are some loose ends though. Revenge is SWEET!!!

Summary: The Perfect Follow-up
Review: This book was every bit as good as the Pirate Lord, which I thought would be difficult. Although I initially found the reason Emily decided to become Emma a bit difficult to believe, I forgave Jeffries completely as I became enthralled with the story of Jordan and Emily/Emma. And after the scene in the British Museum, I will never view the Elgin Marbles in the same manner!!

Summary: Pretty good...pretty good
Review: This is the first Sabrina Jeffries book I have read, and I must say that I am really impressed. Although, it is NOT the best book I've read (I was ready for the charade to end way before it did) I really enjoyed it. The chemistry between Jordan and Emily strong. I felt like the characters really cared for one another, and that is ALWAYS very important to me. Because of how well the book was written, I will be buying other Sabrina Jeffries books in the future. So, if you are looking for good read, this book is for you.
