Rating: Summary: Tales of love that will make you sweat! Review: "Fly With A Dragon" by Rosemary Laurey Myfanwy attempts to shore her trepidation as she waits helplessly to become the dragon's next victim. She had witnessed the charred remains of his last two victims and was determined to face her inevitable death with courage. How had she, the daughter of the village chieftain come to this? It had been the dragon's request for a virgin that had sealed her fate. The dragon of Cader Bala is most pleased with his offering. He has little respect for humans, but this feisty little one seemed different. Arragh could not help admire Myfawnwy, who had faced him with unusual bravery. She would not be his victim, for in truth dragons did not kill. He had a different fate in store for her. She would be the hope of his people, his mate. The pleasure of his lips on her body gives her pause to wonder at her true fate as they wing their way to Cader Ambris, the fire mountain. With a dragon it could only be hot, hot, hot! Whew! Have some ice water handy. If this extremely erotic fantasy doesn't make you break out in a sweat, nothing will! "Heart of a Raven" by J. C. Wilder Ms. Wilder has taken a woman of pure heart, and passionate soul, and transformed her into a woman capable of winning the hearts of her lover's people while saving his tortured soul with the power of her love. Never has a fairytale sizzled like this one! HEART OF THE RAVEN is a highly sensual combination of Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella, which will leave readers yearning for more of its kind. Dani had the misfortune of being born into a pack of shiftless travelers, a caste to too lowly to be even considered common. Drunks, gamblers, and thieves, they drifted from town to town quickly wearing out their welcome. Dani dreamed of getting away. Her biggest fear is that she'll be sold into slavery, as her older sister had been. That is exactly what happens one night when two well dressed strangers ask to share their fire. Seeing a chance to make some easy money, her father and uncle invite the two men to gamble. Dani's uncle plays them deeply debt and Con offers the men Dani in payment. Finding herself in much changed circumstances, Dani felt she could do almost anything for Haaken. But he is the Overseer of the city, descended from a long line of overseers, all cursed. The tale of the curse is told in stained glass in the Overseer's bedchamber. Long ago Haaken's ancestor had proven to be a heartless man. A curse was cast upon him and the first born sons of his descendants, to be a man by night, and a raven by day until he could give his heart fully to his one true love. But Haaken is anything but a beast. He is well loved by his siblings, his men, and his people. He is well on his way to winning Dani's heart too. Can she be "The One"? Can he afford to risk his heart? As his thirtieth birthday approaches, and the curse threatens to swallow what's left of his humanity, how can he not? If you've ever dreamed of living passionately ever after, this one's for you!

Rating: Summary: Two steamy tales that will leave you burning for more Review: Courtesy of Love Romances Fly with a Dragon by Rosemary Laurey Myfanwy has been chosen by her village to be the virgin sacrifice to the Dragon of Cader Bala. The dragon has been coming to the village for ma years to claim female sacrifices. Myfanwy goes to her fate, terrified, but ever proud. When Arragh the dragon arrives, he is nothing like she expected. This is the fearsome monster that has been stalking her village? Arragh's intent was never to kill his victims, in fact, he claims his victims in the hopes of finding a mate. Myfanwy goes with Arragh reluctantly, surprised to find herself incredibly attracted to the exotic being. When she goes with him to his homeland, nothing is as she expected, and she is in for an experience of sensual pleasures like she never imagined in her wildest dreams. This was an imaginative story, with a very different spin on the dragon legends of old. What if dragons weren't the destroyers, but the protectors? The passion in this story erupts from the pages, causing a burn like that caused by dragon fire. One will be drawn into this fantasy, just as Myfanwy is drawn under Arragh's impassioned lure. Ms. Laurey proves her skill for writing of the imaginary here, making one believe anything is possible. Heart of a Raven by JC Wilder Dani is a young woman, a traveler with her father on the outskirts of society, being spurned by everyone. She had dreams of escaping her fate, and finding a way to be happy. When her father sells her into slavery to pay on a bet, she fears she has just gone from one unhappy existence to another. She couldn't be more wrong. Haaken, who wins her, is an Overseer of the Land of Wryven, who has his own reasons for wanting Dani. Haaken is cursed, and the stuff a legend is made of. He spends all his days in the form of a raven, only taking human form at night. Unless he finds his true love, and learns the meaning of love, he is doomed to shift permanently to his bird form. He believes Dani is his salvation, and he spends every nighttime moment by her side, showing her what passion really means. But will they break the curse forever? Or is he doomed to a lonely existence forever? Ms. Wilder once again shows her skill for writing about what fantasies are made of. Already known for her SHADOW DWELLERS series, she pens a new type of story here. Ever unique in her work, this story does not disappoint. One will believe the unbelievable while reading this tale. Full of erotic passion, the reader will be entranced from the first page, rooting for Dani and Haaken. No matter what she chooses to write about, one thing is evident; Ms. Wilder knows how to tell a story. PARADOX is a fascinating look into the minds of two great writers of paranormal romance. This book oozes sensuality and passion. Be forewarned, the reader will want to be sure her partner is near at hand upon finishing this book. This reviewer enjoyed her foray into different territory for both authors, and looks forward to more books by this talented pair.
Rating: Summary: bored Review: Fly With a Dragon by Rosemary Laurey Myfanwy's village is terrified of the dragon who keeps coming back for maiden sacrifices. He demands that his offerings be virgins and, by fiercely guarding her virtue, Myfanwy's father and brothers condemn her to a sure death. Myfanwy is terrified when she first sees the dragon, but he is not at all what she expected. He seems to have feelings and to care for her - and she certainly responds to his nearness! However, she knows that she cannot allow herself to feel for Arragh, the dreaded dragon of Cader Bala for he has already killed two other maidens left for him in the clearing. Can she believe Arragh when he claims that the villagers killed the other maidens? And if he doesn't eat the maiden sacrifices, then what does he plan to do with her? Myfanwy is uncertain what to make of Arragh, but she decides to trust him and boldly makes a bargain with him - she will go with him willingly if he leaves her village alone. When Arragh accepts her proposal, she is plunged into the mysterious world of the dragons of Cader Bala and finds that their future rests on her shoulders! Heart of a Raven by J.C. Wilder Dani has always been ashamed of who she is: dirty, poor, plain. Her father is a brute who doesn't love her and only keeps her around to cook and clean up after him. When he sold her sister to some other travelers who wanted her, she tried to escape, but he caught her. Now he keeps her chained to their wagon and Dani knows it is only a matter of time before he sells her too. But one night, a dark, handsome stranger and his companion stop at her father's campfire. When her father loses a bet with them, all her father can offer in payment is Dani, his daughter. Dani is not sure what to expect from the stranger, but she knows that her life cannot be any worse with him than with her own kin. When Dani leaves with Haaken, she is taken to the city that he rules as Overseer where she is plunged into a world of opulence and pleasure the likes of which she has never known. Haaken seems to care for her, but Dani is not sure where she fits in in his harem of women. What she doesn't know is that Haaken is cursed, as all of the Overseers previous to his rule, to spend his days in the form of a raven and his nights as a man. It is prophesied that Haaken can only remain a man during the day if he finds his true love - a woman who bears the sign of the raven, as Dani does. Haaken feels that all he has to do is make Dani is wife and he will be cured, but the prophecy is much more complicated than that...for, although Haaken gives Dani incredible pleasure, he keeps her chained as her father did. Will Haaken be able to see his mistake before he is doomed to spend the rest of his life as a raven? These two stories were very enjoyable, but way too short! I felt that the authors were forced to drop a lot of characterization that could have made these stories great because they ran out of time, especially Fly With a Dragon. These stories could be described as romantica instead of straight erotica because the women in the stories fell in love with the men in the story and only had sex with them. The sex scenes are really hot, as are the men involved. I can tell that the authors are good, but I did not feel that this book showed their talents off in the best way. I bought these stories as an ebook, and I am glad that I did because I got them for a fourth of the price. I would only go looking for this book if you can find it used or in electronic format because it is so expensive to buy it in book form and I don't really think that stories justify the expense.

Rating: Summary: A fantastic read. Review: PARADOX offers two wonderfully written, HOT tales that will please readers who love erotica and the paranormal. You won't be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: 2 Fabulously HOT stories Review: There are two stories in Paradox, both incredibly great reads and hot to boot. Fly with the Dragon by Rosemary Laurey starts you out with a new view of Dragons through Arragh and Myfanwy sees that different is better in her case. Heart of the Raven by J C Wilder shows Dani eventually capturing the heart of the tough Haaken and breaking a long-standing family curse in the process. Once I received this book I could not put it down until I was good and finished. Great old story premises for both but totally hot and new by these two authors - definitely need to check out their backlist.

Rating: Summary: Two thumbs down. Review: Two stories.. both have a great premise, but both really fall short. If they're romances, well, the characters are never developed enough to see why there's an attraction. In fact, the heroine in Heart of the Raven goes seems to have a major change of personality mid stream. If this is erotica, well, I'm sorry, but if coarse street type language is supposed to be titillating, it isn't. Two thumbs down.
Rating: Summary: bored Review: Why is this book so expensive? It's 142 pages long! I was very disappointed with the length and the content. The stories were short, and boring. What could have been a good story line, ended up as mush, like the women.
