Summary: A Hero to Fall in love with
Review: If you liked "A Knight In Shining Armor" you will love this. The Black Lion is a great character. The breaking down of one's heart is the very story behind this book. I recommend it to Jude Deveraux readers. This is one of her best!!!!!

Summary: I cry at the same places every time I read it!!
Review: This was one of the first books by Jude Deveraux that I read and I loved it from the begining to the end. I always cry at the part where she risks her life to save her husbands' by taking the arrow meant for him. I also know that in all relationships communication, honesty and trust are necessary to prevent misunderstandings.

Summary: Wonderful and Believable
Review: I have read this book now Five times and I keep finding new and interesting things. I study the medieval times and I thought that this book was as close to the real thing as I can find. The love of two days is very real. The feelings of rage and wonder were to me as real as everyday life. I enjoyed it and will keep reading it for many years to come.

Review: After reading all her other wonderful novels, this one is surely a disappointment. It is glaringly obvious that this was one of her FIRST (which I took into account) The reasons for the hero's dislike/distrust of the heroine were weak and not at all believable. This guy didn't deserve the heroine's love and I would have liked to see him grovel a bit more for her forgiveness, and their emotions towards each other ("do I really love him/her?")were annoying. Of course, having said that, Jude Devereaux is one of my favorite authors. Thank god she, just like Johanna Lindsey, just keeps on improving!

Summary: A real disappointment!
Review: I was so excited to find this book, after reading references to a belt with a black lyon in Velvet Song, but I was very disappointed when I read this book. It was the first J.D. book that I have ever had trouble finishing. In fact, I gave up, after becoming so bored and disgusted with the characters. What kind of a hero knocks a woman around several times, only to have her vow to win his love. Talk about disfunctional!! I chalk this up to the fact that it was one of her first books! I do not recommend this book. For a good read, try "Rememberance", "Sweet Liar" or "A Knight in Shining Armour".

Review: This was my first Jude Deveraux book and also my favorite, though, A Knight in Shining Armor closely follows in second. This love story truly captured my heart and I've read it over and over since. If you love medievals and haven't read this one yet, get it now!

Summary: Excellent story, couldn't put it down, again and again....
Review: This was one of the first romance novels I read a million years ago. The story line of the love between the characters was wonderful. I am working on my second copy of this book as I have worn away some of the pages I've read it so much. Ranulf still makes my heart skip a beat. If you haven't read this one yet, you are missing one of the best. Ms. Deveraux and Ms. Lindsey are my favorites. Try them, you won't want to stop.

Review: This is the first book that I read written by Jude. since then I have been deeply captivated by her. I have reread this book for umpteen time. I especially love the part when Lyonene save Ranulf by using her body as a shield. Throughout the book you can feel and experience their deep love for each other. They are truely two most captivating characters a writer can come up with. My greatest thanks to Jude for presenting us with such a wonderful book! For those who have yet read this GREAT book, don't hesitate, go get it now.
