Review: I have read quite a few of Jude Deveraux's books and was sincerely disappointed in this one. I went off of everyone's majority of reviews on this site and was anticipating a good read. Unfortunately, I felt that the lady described in the book was a bit on the abused side, especially from the man that she loved. Although this is just my opinion, I like it better when the heroine is not hit by her lover and not told what she should be feeling. But if you like the simpering, defenseless types then you will sure enjoy this one.

Summary: A must read for any Devereaux fan!
Review: This story was one of her best in my opinion. The story of an Earl falling in love with a Baron's daughter at first sight was so Romeo/Juliet. And their learning to trust and love each other more through the book, even to risk their own life to save the other was soooo touching. I only wish I find a love so strong to overcome obstacles.

Summary: This was the most romantic story I've ever read!
Review: From the first time I read this book I could never forget it. Ranulf and Lyonene's story was sooo moving I laughed and cried through it. I only wish I had a love so strong. Watching (reading) Ranulf, the handsome dark knight, fall in love with Lyonene was so romantic, and Lyonene risking her life to be with him even in battle... even after he had cast her aside, she followed him. It was sooo soul-shaking. I only wish that someday I felt a love so strong that I followed my love wherever he may lead.

Summary: If this had a sequel I would give it 5 stars!
Review: This was a very good story all the way thru until the end. What happened to Morell and Amica? Did I miss something? Were they slaughtered by Ranulf's knights or did they get away? They were a huge part of the story and I think the author should let us in on what happened to them. Unless this has a sequel. Then I want to know the title!

Review: I just LOVED this book, I would sit for hours and read, totally oblivious to the outside world. What an escape! Deveraux is one of my favorite Authors. I love the time period and shes done her homework to make it real!

Summary: Heart warming and young at heart!!
Review: I started COLLECTING!!!Judes books when I became pregnant 6 years ago in a small town with only one book store. I have found and kept everyone of here books to date including the holiday one! For anyone to say that she isn't a wonderful and beautiful writer is to say they are blind and stupid if they can't love the dramatic way she sucks you into the stories!! Out of my collection of books I have, I've re-read Judes at least 10 times each and will never lend them out!(not to say that I haven't bought other copies for my sisters! Just like to say keep on wowing us with the beautiful story telling!!!Love the Blessing by the by!!!

Review: Here in holland Jude's books are popular, I myself has every book from Jude that is translate in dutch. I hope that Jude write books for a very long time. Summary: Absoultely fantastic!!!!!
Review: I have read this book when it came out years ago, in fact it was my second book of hers that I read. Of all her books that I have read, this is the only one that I reread. I truly enjoyed the freshness of lyonenes reaction to Ranuff and his to her. The trials that these two go thru, and you just gotta love the Black Guard.

Review: This was the first Jude Deveraux book that I ever read. It got me from the first page. I loved the way Jude wrote and the phrases and humour that she used. I have also read many of her other books which I also thoroughly enjoyed, but The Black Lyon remains my favourite that I can read again and again. I look forward to more books from Jude Deveraux

Review: This book was good, and I must admit that I also fell in love with Ranulf. I love the time period as well. I just couldn't stomach one part: when Ranulf slaps Lyonene. Was that really necessary?
