Rating: Summary: Loved this book! Review: Master of Temptation shows exactly why Nicole Jordan is on my must-read list. I loved everything about this book. Caro and Max were both wounded, intriguing, complex, wonderful characters. The action/suspense was fast-paced and thrilling. The setting was beautiful and exotic. The sex was HOT and perfect for the story. This book actually was not as steamy as some of Nicole Jordan's other books (such as Ecstasy). There were two love scenes in the first 200 pages and four more in the last 200 pages, but those were incredibly passionate and developed into wonderful, healing love between Max and Caro. Overall Master of Temptation is a superb read that I highly recommend. I can't wait for the next book in this delicious new series. Brava, Ms. Jordan.
Rating: Summary: Kudos for Ms. Jordan Review: Ms. Jordan does it again with another thrilling love story! This one takes place on the fictional Mediterranean island of Cyrene. The hero is a retired major named Max Leighton. He and his friend, Viscount Christopher Thorne go to Cyrene to help Caro Evers, who lives on the island. She is frantic because a dear friend of hers has been abducted and sold into slavery. Caro desperately needs the help of the Guardians of the Sword, an elite group of protectors that are based on the island. Viscount Thorne and Caro are actually part of this group and wish to enlist Max as one of their members. He is very hesitant to join because of all the time he has spent in the war. The problem is that he falls in love with Caro, but can't remain on the island with her unless he joins the Guardians. This story is a must read..... It has just the right amount of action and romance to keep the reader intrigued! I'm looking forward to the "Lord of Seduction" and the rest of the Guardians'stories.
Rating: Summary: Wow, did I love this book! Review: Nicole Jordan makes me want to go to Cyrene. Tomorrow! I really loved this first book in the Guardian series and I can hardly wait until December when Lord of Seduction comes out. What I liked the most was the skillful melding of romance and adventure. While there were moments I wanted to kick Max for his avoidance techniques, he is after all a man. Caro having both a career as a healer and as a Guardian is so unusual for that time, but it really enhances the storyline. This is a thoroughly good read. It has all the elements we love as well as its quotient of steam. Great job Nicole!

Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: The reveiwer below has givin you a outline of what the book was about, so I'm not going to repeat it. Nicole has done it again...another great book. Our heroine is a women ahead of her time. She had a diaster season in London when she was caught dress as a man at a medical lectures. Caro is a healer and a member of a secret organization. She can fight with the best of them. Max was a hero during the war with Napoleon. Max seen his best friend died trying to save his life and now has to live with his nightmares. What a beautiful story...two lonely people coming together to find love. The love scenes are hot and if you have read any other of Nicole's books who know what they are like. It takes awhile for our h/h to admit their feelings for each other but what a wonderful ending. Nicole has invented a beautiful isle called Cyrene for her next trilogy. Look for Thorne's story to come out in December called "Lord of Seduction."
Rating: Summary: Another winner........ Review: The story of Caro and Max in Nicole Jordan's newest book Master of Temptation is one of enchantment. Set in the Mediterranean on the small island of Cyrene. I think Nicole has out done herself in this one. The [adult] scenes, the emotion of losing loved ones, the adventure, and did I mention the [adult] scenes? I found Caro's role in this story a refreshing change of pace from the typical 18th century London debutantes. Caro was enjoyable as the bold, independent healer and warrior. Max became enamored with her abilities and her caring nature. Max definitely needed Caro as his emotional healer due to his nightmares over his best friends death in the war. Caro needed Max to make her feel more like a desired woman rather than just 'one of the guys'. As the story unfolds to reveal the mystery of the secret society called the Guardians, the time spent between the two of them begins to sizzle. This romance turns passionate and the passion turns to a love unbound. As much as I enjoy the notorious series of books by Nicole Jordan, I am already in love with the more laid back, open mindedness of the islanders.

Rating: Summary: Romance Reader in Paradise..! Review: What an absolutely refreshing novel! An instant re-read!! Being familiar with the elegant sensuality that is a trademark of any Nicole Jordan book, and lured by a promising Mediterranean paradise, I simply could not wait to get my hands on this book. I'm happy to report that it exceeded any and all of my expectations and I whole-heartedly recommend this book. This novel has it all - an extremely tortured and brilliant hero; a strong, spirited and-not-a-beauty-queen-type heroine; intriguing storyline, excellent plot with lovely surprises; an incredible collection of secondary characters (this one I find quite hard to come by - I actually remember all of the characters well and wish I could read their individual stories). Excellent work Ms. J! Thank you!!
Rating: Summary: it was worth it Review: when i first got the book it was only to pass time but as i read it the book became more interesting. I love most of Nicole jordan books because its not so lovey dovey although i must admit it has this pattern of making one of the characters fight not to fall in love because it might hurt them or the other. In the book max is trying to cope with losing his best friend in a war with napoleon and he has nightmares that keeps him awake and along came Caro an innocent, strong, and a healer who help save one of his soldiers under his command, who sees his pain wants to help him. but theres a stong attraction to each other. its an innocent book thats you should read and enjoy. try her other books their great too.
Rating: Summary: Lovemaking? I Think Not! Review: Writing numerous sex scenes does not generate stirring romance reading. Nicole Jordan's newest novel MASTER OF TEMPTATION is saturated with stimulated descriptions, but what it does not have is the desire, the lust, the titillation that creates a good story. In other words, sex does not equal romance. I have found Nicole Jordan is a hot and cold writer; you never know what her books will provide. This talented author either electrifies you with her prompting or leaves you cold with her neglect. MASTER OF TEMPTATION is the premier novel in Jordan's newest series, "Guardians of the Sword." A group of men and women who champion against evil and keep the world safe. (Kinley MacGregor fans take notice.) For part two in this ensemble, I plan to visit the library.
