Rating: Summary: Linda Howard Fan Review: This was a quick and fun read. Loved the ending. The family strength and committment example was absolutely heartwarming. Just when something a family member is doing to "bug" me, it was a great nudge to help me not sweat the small stuff.
Rating: Summary: This book is great! Review: I love all of Linda Howards books! This one in no exception. now I am madly searching for the others in the series. This is an absolutly great read, the characters are in depth and wonderful. Highly recomend!!!
Rating: Summary: A Game of Chance Review: Yeah! Finally we get Chance's story. He has strong appeal, sexual and otherwise. Wolf and Mary are the perfect parents for this young man and in this book it shows. Sunny Miller is Chance's other half, which is discovered only after he uses her to catch terrorist. Read all the Mackenzie books. They are a treasure to read and re-read. It was great to be re-introduced to Zane Mackenzie and his part in this book is powerful. A MUST read.
Rating: Summary: I have already read this one twice! Review: I love the MacKenzie series. I've read all of them more than once... In this story you get the terrific hero, that Linda Howard is known for, and the heroine who is brave, strong and positive... I wish Ms Howard could write faster!
Rating: Summary: Again another great read Review: You can't beat MacKenzie's Mountain, but it started this saga and boy has Linda kept the ball rolling. As with all of her books this one keeps you turning the pages. But I have to say that my favorite MacKenzie has got to be Nick. I see Wolf and Mary and the whole brood living to ripe old age, so please Linda can we have Nick's story. Nick has already set it up to be a side splitter.
Rating: Summary: At last At last Review: The eagerly awaited "chance" story. Although not in the same league as the other MACKENZIE series it was still a good read. The relationship between chance and sunny could have been a bit more explored and i found myself wishing for more pages. PLEASE PLEASE do a story on Nick.
Rating: Summary: Oh yum, another Mackenzie Review: The worst is that this is the last we'll see of those wonderful Mackenzies. Nice that Chance found someone worthy of him. So he lied to her; so he used her... so he was less than the honorable Mr. Wonderful we'd all like to have seen him be. I'll still take a Chance! This book is great fun, and I recommend it to all. If you haven't met the Mackenzies before, you're in for a treat, because I can almost guarantee you'll want to read 'em all after this.
Rating: Summary: A Game of Chance: Chance MacKenzie's Love Story Review: If you have followed Linda Howard's MacKenzie series and waited eagerly for Chance MacKenzie to jump out of the shadows in his own love story, you will love this last installment of the series. Chance, the drop-dead handsome/mysterious/silent intelligence agent, meets his mate at last in Sunny Miller. You will enjoy his wit, humor, tenderness, and of course, raw sex appeal. MacKenzie characters and children abound in this sequel and you will again experience family bonds that have shaped this noble family. Babies and more babies is the motif, and a man who loves a woman and values family ties is the message. Awesome book!
Rating: Summary: Game of Chance Review: To clarify what I said earlier in response to another review who said I should stick to Grimms Fairy Tales--I did not say Linda Howard's books were unrealistic because they use the f** word. I merely meant that good writers don't need that "to spice" things up by using language like that. While I'm on the subject of realism--there are women out there that actually believe there are men like this in real life? I have enjoyed Ms. Howard's books very much in the past--while realizing that these stories were PRETEND. I find it amusing at the amount of "huffiness" I am getting over my review. It is just a book--relax. And by the way, Grimms Fairy Tales is an excellent book and a classic--I don't believe Ms. Howard lives up to "classic." But I enjoy her light stories. You want classic, funny, and hilarious? Read P.G. Wodehouse.
Rating: Summary: Very enjoyable Review: I have really liked all of the Mackenzies stories I have read so far. (Mackenzies Mountain, Mackenzies Mission, and A Game of Chance). However since I had never met Chance in the other books I'd read, it was interesting to see how he interacted with the other Mackenzies. His relationships with Zane and Wolf were as touching as the one with Sunny. Chance went to alot of trouble to set up an "accidental" meeting with Sunny, the daughter of an international terrorist. He was determined to use her to track down her father. Two big problems interupted this great plan. 1. Sunny had no contact with her father. 2. Chance and Sunny found themselves instantly drawn to each other. They both had some issues to work out,(and a mission to complete), but eventually they found themselves back on Mackenzies Mountain. There with the help of the family they learned to put the past behind them. What a great way to end this series!
