Summary: One Chance is All it Takes
Review: As soon as I read the author's foreword, I knew that I would be in for a treat. Having read all of the other Mackenzie stories, I immediately became immersed in this one. Since it had taken Ms. Howard so long to pen this story, I was afraid that I had forgotten Chance and some of the other family members, but the power of good writing can't be denied. Everything immediately came back to me as soon as I turned page one. It was definitely worth the wait. Sunny and Chance were made for each other. Both of them were gutsy and pulled no punches about what their priorities were. They hadn't counted on the powerful chemistry between them blowing those plans away. The plot held together well and one of the early sequences with Nick and her "Unca Dance" even had me laughing out loud. Nick has developed the perfect personality to continue the family saga. I flashed back to when she was born in "Mackenzie's Mission" and thought wouldn't it be great if she had the next storyline! With all of those alpha-males in the family, we need a few more women to even things up. I know Linda Howard says this is the end, but I just can't say goodbye to this family. While they've all had their own individual struggles against love and marriage, in the end, family is the name of the game. Mary & Wolf have taught them well. I hope she'll reconsider after getting lots of requests for more. If this is truly the end of the road for the Mackenzie's, then make sure you pick up a copy. You'll want to add it to your collection of keepers, because these characters have staying power!

Summary: a reader
Review: I always enjoy Linda Howard's books, but found myself thinking that she didn't put as much time into this one. Chance wasn't nearly as likeable as the other MacKenzies. He actually came off as rather mercenary when it came to his methods regarding Sunny. And I'll admit to being puzzled as to the plot. I never really thought there was a good reason drawn for the villian to be so determined to kill Sunny, his own daughter. We're expected to believe a terrorist is afraid for his reputation? It wasn't realistic at all. Very little action, covered by lots of hot sensuality. This book was satisfying but certainly not exceptional.

Summary: A Game of Chance (Intimate Moments 1021)
Review: Finally, Chance's story and it was well worth the wait! I savored this book and will probably read it over and over, until my copy falls apart. Nick just keeps getting cuter and funnier--the family had better watch out. Margareta needs a story, as does a sadly overlooked character from the 1st McKenzie book--Clay, the sheriff. He really needs a story and we could see how Mary & Wolf are doing early in their marriage. Sunny was exactly the woman Chance needed and she was as easy to fall in love with as Chance was. Keep the books coming, Linda!

Summary: Another winner
Review: I have read all of this series from start to finish and loved each one. I wish this book could have been longer because I did not want to let the family go. Ms. Howard has said this was to be the last but I hope not although I would hate to see Mary and Wolf die. I have read most of these over and over. I like another reviewer would just like her to write faster but there is the chance that her books are so good because she writes slower....Hummmmmmm

Summary: Another Mackenzie story winner
Review: It was so nice to visit the Mackenzie clan once again. This story is about Wolf and Mary's (Mackenzie's Mountain) adopted son Chance. Chance is trying to catch the world worst terrorist. He learns that the terrorist has a daughter named Sunny and uses her as bait. He didn't intend to fall in love with her. This is a good story of two people on the run and trying to get the bad guys. Had fun learning the goings on of the additional Mackenzie kids. In order to really enjoy this book you should also read the other Mackenzie stories starting with Mackenie's Mountain and working your way down.

Summary: A Must Read!!!
Review: I have been waiting for this book since the first book on this family.Chance is an unforgetable man and Sunny is the absolutly only one for him. Chance has such strength and charisma and he holds your attention from the first mention of him. Sunny has her secrets too and together they deal with all the uglyness of dealing with her father. When he realizes that he could lose Sunny,Chance takes control and whisks her away. A must read and a must re-read!This is a wonderful family, I wish she would continue and do stories on the rest of the brothers!

Summary: review
Review: Undercover agent Chance Mackenzie knew that the best way to capture an elusive terrorist was to use the man's daughter as bait, so he cleverly seduced Sunny Miller and set out to discover her father's whereabouts. Sunny's own innocence was questionable, and gaining her trust was nearly impossible. And even with all his experience and training, Chance found it difficult to overlook her beauty. However, Chance soon realized that Sunny wasn't running from him-she was running for her life, and she needed Chance's protection. but keeping Sunny safe would involve telling her the truth-about his mission and what she'd done to his heart.

Summary: Wish it had been better
Review: I have always enjoyed reading Linda Howard's stories and this is a good one, but not a great one. I felt like some of the love scenes had been lifted out of McKenzie's Pleasure and transferred to Chance's story. The best part of the book was Chance's interaction with his niece, Nick. It's her story I'm hoping for now.

Summary: Sweet, Sexy, Slow
Review: As part of the Mackenzie series, this is a good addition. But, as a stand-alone romance, not so good. The family get togethers at the beginning and end of the book, were a bit schamlzy for me. And while the love scenes were hot, they were also too long and descriptive. Chance as a hero is very alpha. I can deal with that in romance. But I wish there had been more of a story to go with the romance. A little slow for me.

Summary: THE TOTAL BOMB
Review: This book was the "BEAST", the "BOMB" in other words. I love this book so much that I read it 5 times. This deserved a standing applause with a twist. I could read it again. It was so good that I didn't want to lend it to my sister who I usually let read my books. I just wish it didn't have to end. Linda if you are reading this then you are the total bomb. And it doesn't have to end. You should go back and do the other brothers, ... I just love it. I wish it was longer, and I wish it wouldn't have never ended. That's my review. "Linda is the Bomb"!
