Rating: Summary: My favorite Kleypas Review: "Someone to Watch over Me" was my first Lisa Kleypas book and is still my favorite, although by now I've read them all. The hero, Grant - a Bow Street runner - is strong and sexy without being so boneheaded that he resists love until the end of the book. The heroine, whom we know as Vivien, is poignant in her search to regain her memory while falling in love with the man who seems to protect her. The story is well-plotted, and has enough unpredictable twists to keep you turning page after page. The love scenes are steamy and compelling, and the ending is sweet. I really loved this book and highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: A SWEET ROMANCE Review: I have read almost all of Kleypas' books and I enjoyed this one the most. The heroine did not have to fight any ghosts from the hero's past as in many of her other books. There are no emotional memories of a dead wife or dead fiance which the heroine has to overcome. The plot revolves around love the first time around for both characters. A simple romance with no complicated baggage. A misunderstanding yes, but I don't want to give away the plot. I highly recommend this book. Give her other book "Dreaming of You" a peek too.
Rating: Summary: Lively and engaging Review: Outstanding! I was hooked from page one. The Bow Street Runners were fascinating, and the little mystery twist kept me turning pages. A must read!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful....Teriffic......A Must Read Review: This book was absolutely wonderful. I could hardly put it down after my lunch hour ended. I had to rush home and finish it. I was so surprised to find out that the woman with amneisa really was. I thought it was so sweet how Grant stood up for "Vivien" even though he really doesn't like her. The Epilogue was really the best part of the book. All the issues were brought to a close, just the way a book should end. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a good read.
Rating: Summary: Kleypas' Best Review: I have read 6 of her books and have enjoyed this one the most by far. I particularly liked the main characters-- she wasn't the usual idiot and he wasn't the typical jerk. I rank this one with my two favorites " Dreaming of You" and "Somewhere I'll Find You." I did not like "Prince of Dreams" or "Midnight Angel" or "Stranger In My Arms."
Rating: Summary: A must read book! Review: My cousin recommanded this book to me and this is my first book by Lisa Kleypas... I found it wonderful...and I am looking forward to read more of her books =)
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Kleypas! Sweetly charming Review: Sometimes you just need to read a book that makes you feel warm and happy inside-this book is it. The characters were wonderful and charming, while the plot kept the book moving. I was sorry to get to the end.
Rating: Summary: A tale of true love found the hard way! Review: Missing memories, switched personalities, obsession and tight writing all add up to create a good read from an equally good writer. Kleypas' characters all tend to be internally tormented by one thing or another, but love found in the end truly conquers all in this novel.
Rating: Summary: Give yourselves a break! Review: Firstly, if you guys can let a little, tiny, minute detail like salt water bog you down for the whole book, you are spending WAY too much time obsessing on adjectives and such. Sit back and enjoy the book! It's an extremely charming story that can touch hearts. The heroine was adorable, as well as admirable, and the hero was VERY likeable. (Very typical of Kleypas!)P.S. Don't you think there could be salt water in the Thames? London, after all, is a port directly on the sea...
Rating: Summary: Very enjoyable book Review: I didn't even notice the salt water that everyone says shouldn't have been in the book. It was a very enjoyable book, i jumped online the next day to see if there was a sequel in which Sir Ross was to be in. Alas, not yet that I could find. As always, Lisa Kleypas has another exceptional book on her hands.
