Summary: How could you give Kinley less than 5 stars?!
Review: She is truly the best romance author out there right now-and no, this is not Kinley, nor am I related to her or a friend of hers :).

Perfect, perfect, perfect is how I describe every K.M. book I have ever read. "Master of Desire" is my favorite, but they are all fantastic.

My only criticism of this book is that I found the whole Braden/women thing a bit far-fetched. The women *always* chase him? He *never* instigates the relationships - even when these women are throwing themselves at him?! Come on! But besides that ridiculousness, this was a perfect read.

I highly recommend this (as if you couldn't tell).

Summary: Insult to readers!
Review: Terrible writing, cardboard characters, senseless plot... I picked up this book based on the raves of Amazon readers, but after painfully making my way through the first 75 pages (though its idiocy is apparent from early on) I can only assume the high praise comes from the illiterate! While I don't expect LIT-ER-A-TURE from guilty pleasure romance novels, this book was an insult to the English-speaking public.

Kinley MacGregor, if this is the best you can do, go back to your day job. You join the ranks of Teresa Medeiros and later Johanna Lindsey as talentless hacks!

For those who seek believable dialogue, complex yet endearing characters, historical accuracy and well-constructed plots with fully realized storytelling, there is plenty of talented writing out there -- Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Lisa Kleypas, Mary Jo Putney, Lavyrle Spencer. The list goes on... Compare the difference, and see how a really well-written romance can engage your mind as well as your heart. The payoff is tremendous, and these authors should be rewarded with your readership.

Summary: Bring Me My Highlander!!!
Review: This book most certainly gives us mortal lasses hope that a man like Braden may come to our rescue. MacGregor's timely desription and detail given to her character's appearances, put the reader right there in circa King Henry II, Scotland. Maggie's chracter is a feisty, colorful heroine for any woman to aspire to be. Claiming the Highlander is a nearly impossible novel to put down. This is what romance novels should be like more often.Dare to be whisked away to indulging passion ladies!

Summary: How could you give Kinley less than 5 stars?!
Review: This book was absolutley wonderful. This series is turning out to be another wonderful one for me! I cant wait to continue to read about all of the Mcallisters. The whole family has a great story, filled with everything that we love. Braden and Maggie were beautiful together. I loved how they knew each other so well. The memories that they had of each other over the years warmed my heart, and the love that Braden felt for Maggie was heartwrenching at times, and funny at others. I especially liked the part that Braden's brother, Sin, played in being a matchmaker of sorts. This book had me laughing and crying all at the same time! I am going to buy all of Kinley Macgregor's books that I can get my hands on!!!

Summary: Fun ensemble of spirited characters to claim your heart
Review: This gleefully wacky romantic romp certainly establishes itself as a worthy companion to her earlier effort The Fantasy Lover. Better known as Sherrilyn Kenyon, Kinley MacGregor fills the delightful Scottish romance with a bundle of joyous characters particularly The MacAllisters, the four musketeers in Kilgarigon who are dealing with the mutiny of the native women.

You see - the courageous Maggie ingen Blar has decided to pit her wits in breaking up the skirmish between the two clans MacDouglas and MacAllisters by conspiring with the women in both clans to relinquish their duties unless they agree to stop fighting. Lochlan MacAllister, the laird refuses out of pride and MacDouglas will not stop their invasion so Lochlan decides to beseech his brother Braden, the Highlander to charm Maggie into submission. The hearthrob Braden never expects Maggie to ward off his charms like no other women - and finds himself seduced by the innocent lass!

Maggie hides her adoration for Braden for he could never promise her fidelity with his fondness for spontaneity. Braden himself faces also demons of his own when his heart is wounded by a malicious girl in the past. Their warring hearts are tender with emotions - and brilliantly Ms. MacGregor throws dimensions to the star-crossed lovers with heart and poignancy. The love and camaraderie between the spirited pair doubles the fun in their hilarious adventure. The intelligent and feisty Maggie will claim your heart too - as well as the reluctant Highlander.

Summary: Some things never change... men have 2 things on their mind.
Review: This is a fun story that shows KM's humor at it's best. Maggie (the herorine) has banded together the women of her and a waring clan to put a stop to the needless violence of the clan fueding. She has lost one to many brothers and family members to the fued as have many of the others in the clan. Well she gets all the women together and they decide to withhold both their cooking skills as well as their other "favors". Maggie also gets the clan women from the other clan to do the same for the men in their clan. They had hoped that it would last only for a few days but the men are just as stubborn as they are and it is now weeks and tempers are flying....

In comes the hero - Branden who decided that his childhood friend Maggie can be won over by his good looks and charms as have all of the women with whom he has ever crossed paths with. But, when he goes inside he sees Maggie a bit different than in the past. Not only that but Maggie has loved him for years and is sure that she will crumble under his onslot...

Add in a few brewding brothers (Sin, Ewen, Lochland) and hang on for the ride. If you like highland stories this one is a must!

Summary: Excellent Romance Book!
Review: This is the first book that I have read written by Kinley MacGregor and I can assure you it won't be the last. It was great! Maggie was one female character that an everyday woman could relate with and Braden was one male character an everday woman DREAMS of. No usless scenes that lost my attention here. Great love scenes...I want Sin now!!

Summary: Good, but...
Review: This is the first KMac book that I had to kind of skip through some of the wording. I thought there was a lot the same thing repeated over and over. I did find the book humorous but unfortunately I found several parts hard to believe also. Not to say this is isn't a good story it just isn't one of my favorites of her books.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Okay but it lacks something.
Review: This story reminds me of the tale of "Lysistrata" but in a funnier more romantic way. :o) The characters are sweet but sometimes I found myself putting down the book. That usually doesn't happen to me when I read good romance novels. Nevertheless, it's a good story.
