Review: This is the book that turned me on to Julia Quinn, so this one will be on my keeper shelf. Henry lives on her guardian's estate, and has no interest in leaving or changing herself in any way. When the guardian dies, leaving his title, land, and fortune to William Dunford, Henry does her best to scare the handsome man away. He refuses to leave, instead hauling her away with him to find her a husband.

Henry's transformation is sweet, because there's no effort made to change her spirit. Soon, Dunford realizes the only man he could stand to see with Henry is himself.

Yes, there is an unnessisary plot twist with Dunford's former mistress, but all in all this book is a great romance between two marvelous characters. A good Julia Quinn read!
