Summary: A love story that tickles the funny bone
Review: I've been a dedicated reader of historical romance for some time now and I must say that this was one of the best that I've ever read. Draven made you want to hug him and Emily just cracked me up constantly. I laughed out loud throughout the entire book. Kinley...please keep doing what you do best. You now have a new fan.

Summary: An Exquisite Mixture of Passion & Humor . . . .
Review: Master of Desire by Kinley MacGregor is a MASTERPIECE of a romance. This talented writer has penned an incredible story filled with tragedy, humor and passion. I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS WONDERFUL STORY!!

Lady Emily has dreamt of finding love. She desperately wants children and yearns to enjoy the joys that marriage has to offer. She is the youngest daughter of an English lord who forbids her from having any freedom. Nor is she allowed to leave her home. So how can she find her knight in shining armour? She is filled with growing despair until a mysterious stranger arrives at her father's estate.

Draven de Montague, the fourth earl of Ravenswood, is a proud warrior. He is undefeated in battle and is the king's champion. He is ordered by the king to take as a ward for one year, the daughter of his enemy. He is aghast at this decree for no woman has entered into his estate for many, many years. He is afraid that the curse will strike if a woman once again resides there at his estate. Every woman who has lived at Ravenswood falls victim to the rage of their lord. Draven acknowledges the rage inside of him and is afraid of losing control.

Emily soon discovers that there is much more to Draven than fierceness and a terrifying reputation. She sees beneath the hard exterior to the man beneath. A man who will not allow himself to believe in love. A lonely man who does not consider himself worthy. She catches glimpses of his goodness and pain deep within and soon becomes captivated.

Despite the fact that Draven has vowed before the king not to harm or touch Emily, she pursues him with unshakeable tenacity. He has never broken his word. His honor is everything to him but then again, he has never encountered someone like Emily.

She was a great heroine! I loved her unwavering determination to make Draven fall in love with her. Nothing or no one would sway her once she had made up her mind to have Draven. It was a nice change to see the woman do the pursuing instead of the man. Combined with her beauty, courage and gentleness, Emily was so funny. She had me laughing along with her.

Draven was the ideal hero. Powerful, handsome and so tortured over his brutal past and the dark legacy bequeathed onto him. Dare he believe in Emily's gentleness and love? Or will the curse resurface and destroy what is left of his soul?

Toss in an unknown villain who is bent on having these two families go to war, hot passion, soul stirring tenderness ad side hugging laughter and you have got a MASTERPIECE.

Summary: Hot and hunky
Review: Master of Desire has something for everyone, a tortured hero, a spunky heroine, laughs, tears, chuckles and boos (for the villain). Definitely recommended.

Summary: Master of Desire Review by M. Bowie
Review: This romance has everything a period reader looks for. The characters are so real they seem to leap right off the page. The historical elements are aligned correctly for the time period. I found the entire book, word for word, line for line to be totally captivating. I indeed look forward to reading more from this talented author.

Summary: Oooh! Yummy!
Review: I am so glad I did not give up on Kinley MacGregor after A Pirate of Her Own! This book was positively yummy. Both Draven and Emily were likable characters and you really wanted them to be together. I loved Emily's attempts to make Draven laugh.

This book was seemless and was much more enjoyable that A Pirate of Her Own. I must say that Draven's day dream in the apple orchard was HOT! (I could read it over and over!!) Master of Desire has it all: romance, steamy sex, humor, and even a bad guy in the far background (where they belong). I definitely recommend this book!

Summary: Made me believe in romance again
Review: Draven has sworn to never marry and Emily is after a husband. Forced to live together in a unique situation, these two titans clash from the very beginning. But what I loved most was watching their friendship build. There were no stupid misunderstandings that left me rolling my eyes. No childish antics. What we have here is two grown-ups with real problems who come together in spite of their fears and uncertainties and find a lasting love. This book really made me believe that love can conquer all. Curses, family feuds, treacherous villains, you name it. It's been a really long time since I read a book that left me feeling so good inside.

If you LIKE romance. If you like men and strong, competent heroines and most importantly if you like a book that touches all your emotions, then run to the nearest store and do yourself a favor. Buy Master of Desire. You won't regret it.

My only questions now are, will Simon have a book of his own and when's the next one due out? I know I'll be the first in line to get it.

Summary: The BEST ROMANCE EVER WRITTEN
Review: I have been reading romance for 15 years and in all this time I can't remember the last time I came across a book so incredibly funny and tender. This is the typical Alpha jerk hero. This hero is fierce, yet he knows who to be a human being. Emily is smart and determined. A rare treat in a romance. Her fiestiness will make you laugh out loud. A completely original plot that has tender moments I've never read before. This was my first Kinley MacGregor novel. It won't be my last. I can't wait to read her others.

Summary: Heartwarming and Wonderful
Review: This book was fabulous and I hope that all MacGregor's are so. Hugh and Draven are having a fight about who is instigating raids of each other's lands, so they bring their problem before the king. The king decides that if each has something the other values, that they won't attack each other. Therefore, Hugh's daughter Emily is put into Draven's keeping for the next year, during which time he can't touch her in list or anger.

Rewinding for a moment, Hugh loves his three remaining daughters and has vowed not to lose any of them, as he lost his wife and other daughters in childbirth. Therefore, he never lets any of them out and they aren't allowed to marry. Emily is tired of her confinement and longs to see new worlds and marry and have chidren. When she sees Draven and feels his effect on her senses, she decides that he is the husband for her and sets about to convice him of this fact.

Problem. Draven's family has a curse on it - that every wife is killed by her husband. Even though he lusts after Emily 24/7, he would never marry her and therefore sign her death warrant. Anyone would have fun reading about how Emily is able to convince Draven that he is not his father and is in truth, a loving person. With help from her friends, and Draven's younger brother Simon, will Emily be able to win his heart?

This book was just fabulous with great characters. Emily is honest and tenacious in her quest, and her antics are histerical. Draven is the alpha hero that every female longs to cure of his demons and convince that he is a loving, tender person. It is a pleasure to read their love story, and the characters are loveable and I was able to root for them from the beginning. The ending is so romantic, and of course I won't tell what it is, but it is worth it to read the book just for the ending. I recommend it to romance fans everywhere and wish you happy reading!

Review: WOW!!!! This book is truly a beautiful, sexy and funny story..Not only could I not put it down, but it made me want to write a review about it. All I can say that for a man like Draven I would kiss 1000 red hens!!(read the book and you will understand). If you haven't read this book yet, DO SO. You wont regret it. It's one of the few books I've read that the hero is truly a HERO and not a bully that the heroine sedates or tames overtime.....A TRUE SWEET LOVE STORY!!!.......KINLEY MACGREGOR JUST EARNED A NEW READER!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A treasured keeper
