Review: I have truly enjoyed Linda Howard's books, and this one is no exception. Grace and Niall certainly have enough passion and chemistry to keep you turning the pages! If you like Linda Howard, and especially if you've never read her, get this book.

Review: This is honestly the best book I have ever read. Linda Howard is always superb and Son of the Morning is the cream of the crop. Very refreshing! The story is extremely detailed, never wanders off track or becomes boring. Very early in the story, the characters are completely fleshed out and believable. I found it easy to understand Grace St. John's emotions and motives. This book is very different from the run-of-the mill romance. Yes, the hero is tall, dark and handsome but all resemblance to the usual romance formula ends there. The suspense builds and builds and then BANG! I could not put this book down and have since re-read it at least 10 times. Don't pass up the opportunity to read a really fine story!

Review: I have bought five copies of this book - my friends keep borrowing it and then they can't bear to give it back. It is my all time favorite romance novel - breathtaking sensuality and an electrifying and completely believable story. Adrian Paul should buy the film rights and star in it. Fabulous book!

Summary: Excellent Story-Telling
Review: I am a compulsive reader of LH's books - I have even found some in used book stores that are out of print. This is my favorite - details, characterization, plot concept, all captured my attention from beginning to end. I also found this to be the most passionately sensual of her novels. If you like LH's work, try this book. It's a little different from her others, but I think it shows an as-yet untapped potential. I hope she gives us more of this type of story.

Review: I loved this book. It was well written and the characters captured my imagination. The only reason it didn't get five stars was because LH tried to explain twentieth century reigion away with twelfth century logic. Other than the whole ridiculously written lines from Niall in the ending part I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Summary: The Highlander has NOTHING on Son of the Morning.
Review: Great book! Linda has done it again. Being a fan of the Highlander movies and t.v. shows, this book had alot to live up to. I was mezmerized and couldn't put the book down the first time Black Niall felt as though someone was watching him. I finished the book in one sitting. I will say, it was a slow beginning and a quick ending but the substance was steamy, exciting and enjoyable. Incedently the first book I ever read of Linda Howards was The Touch of Fire and now I can't stop. I'm addicted and now so is my sister.

Summary: Yet another happy accident
Review: I can honestly say that I am not a great Linda Howard fan; however, when a friend lent me a copy of Son of the Morning, I found a good read. It did not do to me what Misty Lackey can do without even trying, however, it had it's moments and the interaction between Grace St. John and her warrior were what made even the slow parts good. I can recommend this book to anyone who hasn't tried it, even those who are not Linda Howard fans.

Summary: Good Read Yes! But this book does have a problem
Review: Exceptional read from begining to end. Grace St.John was a women any women could to be proud of. She did not let life run over her, nor did she just lay down & die when her world fell apart. She picked herself up and fought back. I cried with her, was afraid for her and cheered her on when she over came each obstacle thrown at her. This was a time travel romance that was beliveable. I enjoyed the character of Black Niall and found him a very likeable character, with all his warts. I understood his lack of faith and why he felt as he did. I'm not sure I would not have had a problem with the church back then my self, they were anything but Christian. The man never wanted to be a monk, so it did not surprised me when he did not think like one. He was just an honorable man who lived with what life has tossed at him as best as he could. But like the reader in San Diego, Ca. Ms. Howard's religious belives should not have been written as fact or Niall's belives. They did not fit with the story line. They were based in idolatry and not on Judaism or Christianity. She should have left this bit of non-sense out. A few pages of her belives left a slightly bitter tast in the readers mouth. Why mess up a delightful read.

Summary: Terrific Read...Heartwrentching in certain places!
Review: wow. I can't say enough about how terrific this book is! I really felt for Grace and was terrified for her! Black Niall was utterly convincing! The storyline kept me involved until the last sentence. One side comment: The reader fron San Diego should stop trying to oppress her religious opinions on everyone else! This is a work of contemporary fiction and if you wanted something non-offensive to your beliefs this would not be the book that you should have been reading!
