Summary: This is unquestionably Linda Howard's best book so far.
Review: It will be almost impossible for Linda Howard to write another book as extraordinary as SON OF THE MORNING, but I can't wait to see her try! The first book that I ever read by her, SARAH'S CHILD, had so much intensity between the two lovers that I never thought it could be surpassed; SON OF THE MORNING has done it in spades. I disagree vehemently with the reviewer who gave it only two stars because she did not feel Grace and Niall really got to know each other until near the end of the book, thus rendering their sexual encounters too shallow. My poor dear, they were learning all about each other all through the book, which is what made this book even more unique, as well as tantalizing. As they yearned for what they were afraid was unobtainable, their frustrations as well as the reader's reached fever pitch. Thanks so much, Linda Howard, for giving me one of the most unforgettable reads of my life. My only disappointment is not knowing whether the information Nial! l shared with Grace about the Knight's knowledge about the ancient Hebrews worshipping both a god (Yahwah) and a goddess--is that for real, or invented for the story?t's w h

Review: If you love fast-paced suspense and sensual romance, you can't do better than SON OF THE MORNING. The heroine's heart-stopping attempts to remain anonymous as she runs for her life beats anything I've ever read in Grisham. And this is one of the few time travels in which the time change is presented in a believable manner. A first-rate romantic suspense. And once you start reading, you won't be able to put it down.

Review: I HAVE READ ALL OF LINDA HOWARDS BOOKS AND THINK THAT SHE IS A SUPERB WRITER. I KEPT PUSHING "SON OF THE MORNING" TO THE BACK OF MY STACK OF BOOKS TO READ. BOY WAS I MISTAKEN. I ENJOYED THE MAIN CHARACTERS, EVEN THOUGH THEY DON'T ACTUALLY GET TOGETHER TILL THE END OF THE BOOK. BUT THE SHARING OF DREAMS AND THOUGHTS WAS AWESOME, SOMEHOW ENCHANTING. LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE TIME TRAVEL BOOKS FROM MS. HOWARD. THIS WOMAN CAN REALLY WRITE. THIS BOOK LEFT ME WANTING MORE.

Review: Prior to reading this book I had read three time-travel books and was not a fan. Once I see that a book is a time-travel, I put it back. Since this one was by Linda Howard I decided to give it a try and I am so glad that I did. I loved it and will save it to read again.

Review: SON OF THE MORNING has a lot of everything. Almost impossible to put down after reading the first few pages, it has not only the great romance Linda Howard is famous for but also a great adventure for the heroine. She starts out as sort of a mousy, plain-Jane type but must take charge of herself in order to survive. I don't usually like time travel books but this book is too good to let that stand in anyone's way. I definitely recommend it.

Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Long time fan, find her recent contempary books page turners. Everything Ms.Howard tries works well - time travel, western, historical, psychic. So when is her next book! This one I particularly liked because I learned about history and legend. Never heard of Knights Templars before, but have a number of times since this book. Love to learn AND enjoy a suspenseful romantic story at the same time!

Review: I dislike becoming involved in anything public; but after reading this story I had to have a "say". Not only does the story provide, romance, time-travel, terror, and suspense, it also has been well researched beforehand. I love time-travel, historical correct novels and this fits the bill, you hate to put it down. I"d like to see another such by Linda Howard, well written, researched and electrically-charged.

Review: AT FIRST I THOUGHT THIS BOOK WAS NOT AS INTERESTED AS THE OTHER BOOKS I HAVE READ. BUT AFTER READING THE FIRST COUPLE CHAPTERS I COULDN'T PUT THIS BOOK BACK DOWN UNITL I WAS FINISHED. IT HAS ACTION, ROMANC, AND OF COURSE A HANDSOME HERO. BUT I HAD CRIED A LITTLE WHEN THE HUSBAND AND THE BROTHER GOT KILLED BUT WAS I EVER HAPPY WHEN THE VILLIAN GOT WHAT WAS COMING TO HIM.
