Summary: My Very Own Kingdom Of Dreams!
Review: What could I possibly say to explain how much I absolutely love this book? Not much except that I absolutely LOVE THIS BOOK. I have read many, and I stress the word many, romance novels in my short life time. This was the first one that I have read from Judith McNaught and I have to say it is one of the best that I have read. It isn't the absolute best but it is one of the best. Jennifer and Royce are two characters that will stay in your heart forever. The ups and downs that the couple goes through are both heartwarming and heartwrenching. When you read this book you can't help but be happy, sad, and angry. You can't help but laugh and cry. You can't help but be so caught up in another time and place and life that you completely forget everything around you. I laughed out loud when Jennifer was trying to rile Royce and said to him "Forty is this many." I cried when Royce put aside his pride and was willing to forfeit his life to keep his promise to Jennifer that he would not harm her family at the tournament. I was happy when they were happy. And I was so furious when Jennifer betrayed her husband and sat with her family under her colors at the tournament. I wanted to just smack her across the head to knock some sense into her. I especially loved the way Aunt Elinor was always following Arik around and talking his ear off. This is one book that I will remember forever. The love between Jennifer and Royce is one never to be forgotten. Through the trials and tribulations. Through the laughter and the tears. Their love withstanded the test of pride, family loyalty, and undeniable desire. Their love is one that will surely last forever. :-)

Summary: My Kingdom Of Dreams!
Review: I can not express in words how much I love this book. It is completely impossible. I laughed and cried. I was happy and angry. I was completely spellbounded by the story of a love that withstanded the test of one's family, one's country, and one's pride. I laughed when Jennifer, trying to rile Royce, said to him "Forty is this many." And I cried when he put aside his pride and life in the tournament and kept his promise not to hurt her family. And in turn, he almost died because he loved her and wanted to keep his promise. He was willing to forfeit his life to make her happy. I was happy when they were happy. I was angry when Jennifer betrayed her husband and sat with her family under her colors at the tournament. I literally wanted to knock some sense into her for being so callous. This is one book that will remain in my heart for all eternity.

Review: I love this book from the bottom of my heart! It touched me deeply, and I couldn't put it down! I read it untill I reached the end,and started all over. The plot was wonderful, and the ending was so touching, I started to cry. I wasn't so sure when I picked this book up from my friend's dresser, but I will always be thankful to her for letting me borrow it! I bought two copies of my own, and have almost worned the second one completely out, as I did to the first. I would recomned this book to anyone who loves a good love story. And remember, "Forty is THIS many!"

Summary: Judith McNaught wins again!
Review: I've read "Whitney, My Love" and "Until You" and I fell in love with Clayton and Stephen. When I found out that there was a book about the first Duke of Claymore, I knew that I needed to find it. I did, and I read it. I LOVED IT! McNaught told the story beautifully. I think that I'll go read it again.

Summary: A Kingdom of Dreams far surpassed all of my expectations!
Review: These characters virtually come alive before the reader. I was surprised that I came to love this story, since I don't particularly care for the time setting that this story takes place. This novel has changed my outlook completely! I was not too excited about picking up another Judith McNaught novel after reading Remember When, but since I had already bought every one she had written after reading Whitney, My Love , I had no other choice! I wish Ms. McNaught rewrites Remember When like she did with Whitney, My Love, since it has so much potential for being a truly wonderful story. But, that is another review! A Kingdom of Dreams was a wonderfully romantic novel that kept my attention through every twist and turn of the plot. You won't put this book down until it is finished, and then you might just start at the beginning again! Jenny was an incredible heroine full of youthful aspirations about her future. She was not a cardboard cutout perfect beauty. She often made mistakes, which are common for one so young. Her age did not affect my reading enjoyment whatsoever ( I don't usually relate to heroine's that are half my age!) She was the perfect combination of youthful exuberance and womanly courage. I loved how she cleverly outwitted Royce, or rather how he allowed her to in the end. Those Westmorelands are one sexy bunch! I knew I was in trouble when Royce began to invade MY dreams! What a man! Tough as nails, yet he had a very tender and gentle heart. One that felt compassion and emphathy, but never compromised his masculinity. Read A Kingdom of Dreams, and then for more Westmorelands read Whitney, My Love and Until You. Ms. McNaught, please bring us more stories of the Westmoreland's. They are the best heroes a girl can dream about!

Summary: "A Kingdom of Dreams" has bewitched my heart!
Review: As a serious fan of Historical romance, I have been reading and enjoying hundreds of novels since I was in Switzerland. Some novels are very touching, some are heartbreaking, some are funny and some are even puzzeling. Those novels have different and special characters, however, I wasn't sure which one is the very best. But after I read "A Kingdom Of Dreams" I was truly, madly, deeply bewitched for the first time! I've never felt that before. I had a strange feeling for that splendid novel has captured my very heart. When I was reading the book, I couldn't even force myself to retire at night. The story and the characters are very touching and real. I'm having a huge admiration on Jenny for her uncomparable courage, head-strong features, amazing forgiveness and the warm kindness she had towards her sister and Royce. I also had a huge 'crush' on Royce, the handsome Duke Of Claymore. Although he was deadly ruthless and shocking at the beginning, I have understood how much he loved Jenny with all his heart, his soul -and even his life. It was extremely difficult for them to surrender their prides because of the political problems and the terrible pain they suffered. Politics is a brutal business indeed! I adore all the powerful words spoken between those two characters. I loved every single phrase in the novel for I find them most entertaining. There is one best part that brought me tears- and that is, when Royce was letting the Irish clans defeat him at the end. We all believed that he was a man who would never ever yield his pride and reputation, but at the end, he proved his true love for Jenny by letting them kill him. I still could see that heartbreaking scene in my eyes. God! Ms. McNaught is such an effective writer! "A Kingdom Of Dreams" is and will always be my very, very best novel for ever. Although it is only a fiction story, the images of those two unforgettable characters( or legendary lovers) shall be engraved in the readers' hearts until the end of the time! Well done, Ms. McNaught! That was very extremely, tremendously, heartbreakingly, breathtakingly well done!

Summary: A story you will fall in love with...
Review: When I read this book, I knew I had found something special. Since reading Judith McNaught's "Kingdom of Dreams", I have become and avid reader and devoted fan of JM and all of her miraculous works of literature.

Echoing the accurate words of the book description, this truly is McNaught's most tender love story. You will be swept away into a magical story that will have you laughing, crying, and rediscovering love all over again.

If you are not hooked by the third chapter, I will be *highly* surprised. Jenny is a delight as the book's heroine: a sweet, incorrigible girl who never surrenders and loves with a passion. Royce is equally perfect as the hero: a dynamic warrior whose gruff exterior is not the mask of a cruel man but rather one that hides the tender heart and love he has repressed until Jenny comes along and melts all his reservations away.

Still, Judith McNaught understands that love stories aren't all blissful tales of love and happiness. She adds motivations, obstacles to overcome, hilariously witty dialogue, and irascible secondary characters who are a delight to read.

You truly connect to the characters of the book and are swept away in their story.

"Forty is *this* many!" Classic! (Read it and see what I mean)

And when you have finished this story and have fallen in love with Judith McNaught books as I have, read the (sortof) sequel "Whitney, My Love" and "Until You" and then go from there.

Also, if you are interested in more contemporary novels, try JM's "Paradise". That and "Kingdom of Dreams" are my favorites.

Ciao Bella!

Summary: Good love story, has its moments!
Review: I am not as fond of stories with fights and wars. But it was still a good love story. It is sad to see the conflict between two groups of people. I was interested in the story since it is related to some of her later works (Witney, My love and Until You).
