Summary: Funny, Romantic, Heart Quenching & Enchanting...
Review: Once again, this is one of my favorite Judith McNaught book!

Jordan, the rich & powerful Duke of Hawthorne, known also as a handsome rake was travelling to the countryside where his mother is staying when he met trouble in the highway. A knight in a rusty armour came to his rescue. When the person in the armour suit, who he assumed was a young boy, was knocked unconscious in the process of saving his life, he had to make sure he would be ok, returned to his family & be well compensated. Therefore, in good intention, he carried the boy to the nearest motel. When Jordan took off the armour suit & clothes to check for any open wound, he realized that the boy he thought was actually a young girl. Alexandra was already half naked & half conscious when the hotel hostess came inside the bedroom. That good intentions turned into a black cloud which created a scandal in Alexandra's small town, ruining her reputation & her chance of finding a decent husband, which infuriated her mother. Since Alexandra's family were impoverished when her father died, her mother took this opportunity to better their situation. Forced to marry each other, their life changed forever....

Even if she wasn't ready to marry, Alexandra found herself already half in love with Jordan. On the other hand, Jordan who have no intentions of marrying, let alone falling in love, decided to wed Alexandra. Afterall, he owed her for saving his life. However, What Alexandra's unaware of is he plans to leave her in one of his estates, fully financially compensated, including her mother and only to be visited once or twice a year for show. He intended to live his life just the way he was before he got himself in this mess.

Alexandra Lawrence was a tomboyish, innocent, naive young country girl when Jordan first met her. She was so naive that she was so unpretentious with her emotions. She speaks her mind and shows her emotions freely. She was romantic & full of imaginations. She's overwhelming & she amazes him as well. She was totally different compared to the Ladies Jordan is use to being with. But before Jordan can see Alexandra flourished into a beautiful Swan, he got himself into another trouble. This time, Alexandra wasn't there to rescue him...

When Alexandra was initially introduce to the Ton, She acknowledge her love for Jordan which made her the laughing stock of the Ton. She didn't know the true character of Jordan. She always believed him to be good hearted, a gentlemen & a sensitive person. However, as she matures, what she eventually heard and found out was an exact opposite. She is no longer the naive country girl who Jordan played like a fool. That's when she decided to be the Belle of every Ball. She stopped sulking, came out, enjoyed herself immensely & became every man's desire.

This book have so many twists & turns that just makes you want to read it until it ends. Aside from the suspense of finding who wants to kill Jordan, Alexandra's growing relationship with Jordan makes this book very romantic and heart quenching. There is so many scenes I love in this book but the ending was the powerful and the best one of all. Jordan's confessions, his touching words of noticing colors & the jewel gifts that Jordan gave her made me cry. I was overjoyed! Once you read the book, you will know that the jewel he gave her had other significance. A deeper, thoughtful meaning! Jordan mother's hatred to Alexandra & her acceptance in the end was also heart warming. The "situation" that J.M. wrote in order for the two to be close was really sad. That "situation" gave Alexandra & the dowager duchess a special bond. One of my favorite scene was also Alexandra's second wedding to Tony, Jordan's cousin. Oh, you must read it to find out. Don't want to give it away for you... But it's so excitingly funny! There is so many wonderfully described secondary characters in this book, all of them contributed to the success of this story. I liked every one of them! Though, I specially loved Alexandra's two loyal servant & friends. The blind Filbert & the deaf Penrose. Alexandra childhood and her relationship with her father was really sad. The confession of Filbert to Jordan about Alex's past made me cry. After reading this part, you simply want the best for Alexandra and what she finally gained in the end was truely what she deserve. Loved this book. Glad I have it in my collection! Pick it up, read it... you won't be sorry!

Summary: A book that touches the heart
Review: Of all the books I have read so far, nothing compares to Something Wonderful. Everytime I have read this book I learn or find something new and enderaing to remember. This is a book that would make you laugh and cry everytime you read it, well at least for me it has. So I recommend Something Wonderful to everyone and anyone who loves a good romance or someone who is feeling down and want to be cheered up, or to anyone who wants a good read.

Summary: Had trouble liking the hero
Review: Am I the only one who had trouble liking Jordan Townsende? Alex was a great heroine, but Jordan was a disappointment. Maybe I don't really care for heroes who need to be reformed, who don't know the meaning of love until the heroines show them. Maybe I prefer heroes who have more depth, principles, who are both good and bad and who worship the air their women breathe. IMHO, Jordan is not in the same league as Ian Thornton(ALMOST HEAVEN), Matt Farrell(PARADISE) and Royce Westmoreland(A KINGDOM OF DREAMS). He paled against Ian , Matt and Royce. Those three appeal more to me, especially Ian (IMHO, the best hero Judith ever created). You'll be seduced easily by the love story, though, and the ending was kind of abrupt. This is just my opinion, and I believe other JM fans love this book but ALMOST HEAVEN, A KINGDOM OF DREAMS and PARADISE are much more to my liking.

Summary: Certainly "Something Wonderful"!
Review: This book is truly one of the best that I have read. It is a mixture of both tears and joy. Right off the bat, you will be captivated by the intrigue the first few chapters offer. Alex is a great heroine, with strength and spirit, while Jordan, though dashing and all that, is a human being who changes throughout the novel. There love is one that is sweet and tender. If you found this book to be a great read (which I certainly do) then i recommend that you read Brenda Joyce's "Beyond Scandal", which is equally as good, and Julia London's "Devil's Love". Both are equally as good.

Summary: Something Wonderful...
Review: This is the first book of Judith McNaught that I have read and the one that I love most. I remember I was 13 or 14 when I first read the book.

This is the love story of Alex, a tom-boy, and Jordon. You can see that love can change the two. Alex's growth from a tom-boy to a woman and Jordon softened into a loving man without lossing one bit of manliness, of course! The dialouge is witty and full of humour. There are parts where you could feel that your heart will break for the couple. But there are also parts where you can feel that your heart will burst with joy. Do sit back and enjoy this book if you have your hands on it because you have a TREASURE in your hands...

Summary: A very special story that you'll remember forever.
Review: I so enjoyed the character of Alexandra Townsende and her strength, love and integrity that I actually named my baby daughter after her. I only hope that she grows up to love the classic philosophers and a "reformed rake" like Jordan.

Judith McNaught (my all time favorite author) does a fanastic job at telling the story of Alexandra's growth into a woman and Jordan's growth into a caring, loving husband.

I've read this book too many times to count and keep going back at least once year for more.

Summary: Wonderful Reading
Review: There are just not enough words to describe this book or its writer. In short, its worth your money and your time. Because when I read this book, not only did something wonderful happen to the characters, it happened to me too. I realized that there really is great talent out there. I also got a great feeling and I felt good. This is truly what dreams are made of!

Summary: Something Wonderful
Review: This is the frist book by Judith Mcnaught I have ever read. It is most definetly not the last. This book is not and con not be catogorized. It stands very high on the scale of romance novels. I dont think there is any other book that stands up to the quality of this book.

Summary: Something Wonderful is truly the best book I have ever read
Review: This is tale of two incredibly different people who are destined to be together. I fell in love with Alexandra instantly. Her carefree spirit and innocence had me rooting for this girl from the first page. Jordan on the other hand is the usual rogue. Handsome, extremely rich, and arrogant. He resists Alexandra's love and everything she has to offer him until the end in which he almost loses her forever. This novel will melt your heart and teach you what love is all about. It is a must read!

Summary: something wonderful
Review: Something about this book just hitched me. after reading it,Ihave pretty much read all her regency books,if thats what they can becalled. I love Mcnaught's wit, her humour and just her entire writingstyle. Never has a book made me shed tears as this one, in the ending scene that is. I really believe somehow in a unique way, Mcnaught's books lift tired, cynical spirits, and let them for once pretend that romance does exit. In some far off corner of England, between an ordinary country girl and a world weary noble man.
