Review: There are only a handful of books out there that blur the boundaries of genre, theme, and style. McCrae's "Bark of the Dogwood" comes to mind, as does Steinbeck's "East of Eden" and even some of Min's novels. These are books that can be read by just about anyone, regardless of their sex, taste, or aversions to certain things. "Suspicious" is one such book. While I realize that the majority of Robert's readers are women, her books are so well-written, so well paced, and so well-crafted, that anyone, man or woman, can read them and enjoy their gift. I'll admit that I've read everything Roberts has written and while I have my favorites, "Suspicious" is really, really close to the top of the list. Do yourself a favor and buy this great read.
