Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Absolutely wonderful Review: I was laughing within the first 10 minutes of starting this book. And I couldn't put it down after I started it. Not much of a review I know but just the words I loved it and am looking for more of her books should tell you something.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I love this woman! Review: call me crazy, but I am fairly certain that Jennifer Crusie is the reason I wake up in the morning. Is that so horrible? But really, this book was just superb, but one can only wonder how many more protagonists in JC books will be art teachers. Well, I guess you shouldn't mess with a good thing. And folks, this book is THE good thing.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book was romantically funny, C.L. Sturgis is hot! Review: I thought this book was wonderful. The characters are so full of life. Maddie and C.L. are great together. He reminded me of Nicholas Cage. I can't wait for Jennifer's next book.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Good, Bad, Good. Review: I laughed and laughed as this story developed. Ms. Cursie has a keen vision of the small, humorous details in a woman's life. I continually stopped to reread funny passages to my husband (which he never seemed to think were funny) and thought I could save time by simply reading the book outloud. But, the humor quickly faded as the story developed with only an occasional witticism to keep me chuckling. I went from really liking the book to not really liking it back to liking it. Why would anyone try to conceal as many things as Maddie did? Why would she potentially implicate C.L. without even a thought? Why would she lie to her daughter? Why didn't we know more about C.L.? But, WOW, what an ending. Ms. Cursie's talent is obvious. I am excited to read more of her books as she polishes that talent and begins to pay more attention to character motivaton and fine-tunes her story ideas.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent, one of a kind read! Review: This book will have you laughing, crying, and sitting on the edge of your seat all at once. I would love to read more books by this author with this tone. I love the mystery with the passion! I encourage one and all to read it, today!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fun, Funny, and Full of Twists Review: I have read "Tell Me Lies" about Ten Times since I got it (For Christmas). The plot in a small town makes me forget about the stereotypical view about how nothing goes on in a small town. This reminded me of how my community is, even though I live in a big city. The main chartacter, Maddie, rises to the occasion by doing what she wants, not what the town wants. That attitude reminds me a little of myself. I recommend this book to any one who loves mystery romances.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: THIS BOOK HAS IT ALL LOVE, LAUGHS, SEX, AND MYSTERY Review: I just finished Tell Me Lies, and I loved it I couldn't put the book down. I laughed, cried, and sighed while reading it. Every woman needs a C.L. in her life, he's sexy, sensitive, and just enough bad boy in him to make him great. The way Maddie copes with everything going on in her life is touching especially when dealing with her daughter. I loved every character in in this book. And I'll recommend it to everyone. Thank you Jennifer Cruise for a wonderful book.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: One of the Top Ten Books of 1998! Review: I've never been disappointed with any of Jennifer Crusie's books, and this one's her best to date. And apparently the membership of Romance Writers of America agrees -- they just voted TELL ME LIES one of their ten favorite books of 1998.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A great book by a wonderful author! Review: I am a long-time fan of Jennifer Crusie's, having read every book she's ever written. I adore humor, and so few people do it well. Especially in combination with passion. Ms. Crusie is a master at this difficult feat. Trust her to get 24 reviews from excited fans when hardly any of the thousands of authors on Amazon have more than a handful of reviews, and many have none. This is a true measure of just how much her fans love her! I can't wait for her next book, and her next and her next. This author deserves to be on every best selling list there is!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Readable but Not Much More Review: This was an attempt at a romance/mystery howver, it really fell flat. It began interestingly enough-trying to drum up sympathy for a woman in a loveless marriage, trapped in a small town. Quickly, I lost interest as the novel continually jumped perspectives from the woman (Maddie) to the perspective of her 11 year old daughter (who cares) to the perspective of her old flame, CJ, who I never could believe was a rebel no one liked. Not enough time was spent on any one of the characters' development for me to even care about them. The murder of Maddie's husband was never fully developed-I never felt that Maddie was in any danger of being convicted of his murder-nor did I care. I kept asking myself-why doesn't she just move away if she hates the town so much. And the side story with her best friend was really unnecessary and has nothing to do with the rest of the story.
