Rating: Summary: So good, I've spent three years trying to relocate it! Review: During finals, my roomate and I would forego some meals to purchase some light reading for a change. We both gobbled this one up as well as any other Howard novel we could find. She stole my copy and I've spent ages trying to find it again. I fell in love with the characters, and the plot was so engulfing that losing the book was like losing a friend. How many romance novels would you mount a full scale three year search for? It's so good, no one wants to sell it second-hand!
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I have every read. Review: This is my first Linda Howard book -now I am hooked. This book is an exciting read (it is hot). I could not wait to continue reading this book during the day. At work I took it to the bathroom with me so I could sneak a page of two in. I will reading more of Linda Howard.
Rating: Summary: A GREAT READ Review: I really enjoyed this book. The public restroom part was hilarious, and the part when Gray throw's Faith out of her home made me cry. I liked the fact that Faith isnt some helpless female who cant make it without a man.And Gray well his character is adorable.I picked this book because I read so many good reviews on it, and I'm so glad that I was'nt dissapointed.
Rating: Summary: It has everything! Review: Linda Howard is always great, but this was one of her best! The scene in the public restroom made me fall down laughing and when Faith's family was tossed out of their home, I cried. Enjoyed all the twists and turns immensely.
Rating: Summary: This book is so hot you could iron with it! Review: Linda Howard's book After The Night was; in my opinion, her best work to date. The characters were deep and just a tad bit disturbing. The building anticipation and the sparks that fly between the romantic leads; mixed with mystery and dysfunctional families makes this one book that is sure to fog up the windows of your home.
Rating: Summary: A perfect introduction to the world of Linda Howard. Review: "After the Night" is one of the best novels I have read in a long time. The characters are strong and origional. Its a wonderful story of poor girl makes good. Faith is a loving, imaginative child who grows into a passionate, self confident woman, despite the almost insurmountable odds set against her. Above all, she can find forgiveness in her heart for the one person who almost destroys her entire life and that of her family. Gray is a tough, ruthless man with a soft spot for family and possibly even for the woman who's mother destroyed his perfect world. The sexual tension between them is almost tangible and the reader can't wait for them to finally give in to their desire for each other. LH has written a truely suspensful, sensual novel that is rich and memorable. And will inspire readers to search for other stories by this creative writer.
Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL !!!!! Review: This is the first book by Linda Howard I read, but it won't be the last. I could not put it down !!
Rating: Summary: It was GREAT!!!!!!!!! Review: It was a great book and I loved it..... I loved how Faith went back to her old town to show everyone she did suceed. It was a book that I read over and over. The sex was hot..... I loved the ending when Faith was in the cafe with Gray and she threw a drink in his face after he tried blackmailing him into marrting him.....
Rating: Summary: HOT!!! Review: This story was just so hot. I loved it. I love it when the heroines are strong characters. I do not know how many women would have gone back to Prescott after everything that happened and faced Gray. Faith was such a wonderful character who had had a very difficult and cruel life but was still able to come up on top. Gray was a very hard man and under the circumstances was understandably mean to Faith and her family. I loved the way they could not deny the passion that was simmering between them no matter how they tried. It was just too hot. I believe this story is one of my personal favorites that I will read many more times to come. I am going to get the rest of her novels.
Rating: Summary: Uhhh, yeah -- gimmee an order of sexy romantic suspense.... Review: And go heavy on the sex!For me, LH's appeal lies in her voice, her strong characterizations and her great ability to create an intense & immediate sexual attraction between H&H. The kind of attraction you don't have every day with just any-ole-body. True, it's fairly easy to identify the bad guy in the story & I was never really convinced that what Faith & Gray had, after such a brief relationship, was a love that could survive the ups-n-downs of decades of marriage. But hey -- it's fantasy. The best possible outcome of the earliest stages of infatuation, when H&H are saturated with pure, raw lust and have the most electrifying, earth-shattering sex they ever had in their lives. Yeah, maybe they are mistaking passion for love. And, yeah, it is escapist. But I don't have a problem admitting I'm in it for the sex..... do you? If I had to change anything, I'd have made it harder for the reader to figure out whodunnit... I ain't a whiz at guessing that sorta thing out, either, but even I knew who did it. Overall I've been satisfied with LH's work but I wouldn't mind being left in the dark mid-way through the novel about who committed the dastardly deed for once.
