Rating: Summary: Time Travel at it's Best Review: Wonderful romp through time, I enjoyed it from beginning to end, what a great book to have when your time is all yours to sit and relax with a good book, a definte read, great characters, wonderful setting, and the heroine is no wimp that needs a man to get her through. Thank you for this one Ms.Monig ,Good job. Can't wait for her next one.
Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC TIME TRAVEL! Review: I don't usually read time-travels, but I picked this one up, and I LOVED IT! The characters are truly multi-dimensional. All I can say about Hawk and Adrienne is WHEW! If you're looking for a great escape, try this one -- you'll devour it in one sitting. Karen Moning may convert me to time travels permanently!
Rating: Summary: A mess of a story Review: The author, I'm afraid, tried to put in too much in one book. Time-traveling fugitive abused heroine meets oversexed rakehell man, both perfect humans with no physical flaws. Then there are faeries and lame court intrigue, a quest towards the end, and I'm sure there's a kitchen sink buried in the story... somewhere. Also, the writing is overflowery, with lips, tresses, torsos, bosoms, and er, love organs described in melodramatic purple prose that had me cringing. At last count, there are 6 misunderstandings. I don't have patience for these sort of books, really. Here's hoping 'To Tame A Highland Warrior' is better.
Rating: Summary: This book BLEW ME AWAY!!! Review: This is without a doubt the best book, to date, I've read this year! What a true talent Karen is and I'm looking forward to reading her future releases. It's hard to believe Beyond the Highland Mist is her debut book! Where the heck have you been hiding Karen? I can only imagine what's in store for us after she has several books under her belt. Can they get any better than this? I find that hard to believe. This book is a MUST READ! Way to go Karen! Congrats!
Rating: Summary: Great!! Review: What a great book! I typically don't like time-travel books, but I really enjoyed this one. Hawk was a great man. He truly seemed perfect in about every way. Adam was cleverly written. My only complaint is that Adrienne is a bit too shrewish and took too long to admit her feelings. I get a little tired of having one character who is clearly good and another character who chooses not to see this. But I am keeping this one and recommending it to my friends.
Rating: Summary: Great book - big fun! Review: This is the best first novel that I can remember in this genre. I'm expecting great things from this author! This was a great book that had me laughing out loud, sitting at the edge of my seat and sighing. I read at least two novels a week and it's the first book in a while that had me up half the night to see how it ends. I didn't notice any obvious historical inconsistencies. Let's face it, historical reality is fleas and infrequent bathing. I like to let the little things go. I liked the magical and mystical aspect. I liked the time travel concept in this book also. I don't think there would have been a more perfect companion for the Hawk in his time. I liked seeing the period through the perspective of a modern woman. I can't wait to read Karen Marie Moning's next novels.
Rating: Summary: I JUST LOVED IT! Review: Wow, if this is her first book, I can't wait for her second. This story was so entertaining. I loved all the characters. I wasn't sure if I would like the time travel aspect, but it was written in such a way that I didn't feel I was in a sci-fi novel. Don't hesitate to read this one. It's great.
Rating: Summary: Oh MY GOD!!! Review: Terrific time travel book. I generally don't like time travel but this book had humor, fantasy and sexual tension. Excellent first novel by this talented writer. I am waiting for her next novel. Hope its out soon.
Rating: Summary: Loved this book! Review: This is not one of those books where the hero and heroine misunderstand each other and the reader wants to strangle them. I have not read a romance novel for years because I was tired of that formula. The "Hero" was masculine but not egotistical. I enjoyed the magic and found it believable. Time travel romances are my favorite and I am always interested to see how the author gets the couple together, past the bonds of time. It was a page turner from the very first page!
