Summary: Very entertaining!
Review: This was the best time traveling fairy tale I've read all year. The extremely beautiful Adrienne, who's sworn off beautiful men due to a very bad experience, is sent back in time by a wish on a falling star made by Grimm, Hawk's best friend. Adam, the fairy fool, wants revenge on Hawk for stealing his queen's favors, helps Grimm's wish for a woman who will say "no" to the notorious womanizer Hawk come true. It's love at first sight for Hawk when he lays eyes on Adrienne, but unfortunately for Hawk, he's beautiful and Adrienne doesn't want anything to do with him.

Summary: Absolutely Fantastic!!!
Review: I loved this book! I was really unsure whether to buy it as i thought the cover looked kind of mushy. The novel was the complete opposite, it is the best book I have read in ages! I was becoming slightly jaded with romance novels as they are all tending to roll into one plot. This novel has restored my faith! I have never really been one for magical fairy type romances as I tend to prefer a touch of reality but this one had such strong characters and albeit a far-fetched story line but it had everything you could ever possibly want from a novel. There was humour, passion, sorrow and joy. It is the perfect book to curl up and get lost in!

Summary: Fantasyland meets the Highland
Review: I chose this book because I am interested in everything about England/Scotland. At the same time, I like to "lose myself" in time-travel books, so I thought this book would have it all. While the whole fairy connection was humorous, it went a little too far in my opinion, eventually taking away from any credibility the book may have had. I would be interested to read other books in the genre, maybe leaning a little more toward the historical, and less toward the fantastic. It was a good "summer read," though, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in the romance/time travel scene.

Summary: Beyond the Highland Mist
Review: I have read hundreds of romances, all varieties, and this one has struck me as one of the best. You have to really stretch the imagination when it comes to time travel, but Karen Moning is convincing to even the worst skeptic. I was so drawn into the book I could not put it down. This book is a must read!

Summary: What a great first novel!
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It's very well written and the plot and characters are wonderfully intriguing. I could not put it down, but finished it in a day (and it's nearly 400 pages!). The real kicker for me, though, was when I was looking for information about other novels by Karen Marie Moning and read that she was "working on her second novel." Can't wait to get a hold of that, since her first was so good!

Summary: First Book Written? WOW!
Review: I bought this book for my mother-in-law who loves time-travels. On her recommendation I bought second copy for myself and began to read. I could not put this book down. I found myself emotional. Never have I been so engrossed in a book like this to the end. Hawk was the Adonis of 1513. Adrienne, an orphan who did not trust beautiful men. Brought together by fairies who want to see Hawk refused by a woman, Adam must make sure that Adrienne refuses Hawk at all costs. Not only does he want the Hawk to fail but he wants Adrienne. The details in this book will make you feel as if this were unfolding right before your eyes. I cannot believe this is her first book! I will definetly follow Monings writing career.

Summary: favorite of all time
Review: This book is the best book I've ever read. I've read it 30 times and it never gets old. The characters were so wonderful together and completely frustrating at the same time. There is something so spellbinding about a man no woman can capture and a woman no man can suduce being thrown together and finding true love. Adrienne and the Hawk were so fiercely devoted to one another, everyone dreams of a love like that.I also love the mythical aspects like a feary Queen and her fool who caused the Hawk so much grief. I laughed and cried from the beginning to the end of this book and I don't think I'll ever grow tired of it. Don't pass this book up or you'll be sorry.

Summary: Every Woman's Fantasy
Review: I loved this book. The lead female character is feisty and outspoken with a mind of her own. She leaves the men in the book baffled. My kind of female always keep the men hopping. GREAT STORY.

Summary: SENSATIONAL! I Loved this book!
Review: I love time-travels and this is one of the best. Strong heroine, sexy highland lord and a villian that is nearly as magnetic as the hero. I want to see this bad-boy reformed as a hero in another tale!

If you like the highlands, strong heros and heroines with a touch of magic, you'll love this book! I can't reccomend it enough!

Summary: Pretty Good But Slightly Disappointed
Review: The book was well-written and started out with great sexual tension and humor. The major problem I had with this book is the same one I've had with quite a few books I've read lately: they start great, end great, but the entire huge middle portion is filled with exasperation and poor attempts at trying to stretch out the inevitable sex scene with too many scenes where the heroine begins to "think clearly" at the last minute.

The heroine also takes her weariness of trusting a man too far, to the point where she was hurtful and insulting to the hero, who treats her wonderfully throughout the whole read. There were a couple scenes where she even deliberately called the hero by another man's name in the heat of passion in an effort to push him away. The first time, I was like, okay this might make for great tension. By the second and third time, I disliked the heroine immensely. She seemed too selfish and heartless for me to relate to.

The book was well-written, I give the author that much. And if you enjoy books where there is constant mistrust and outward conflict between the hero and heroine, you will like this one too. My tastes run along different lines, which is why I can't give it more than a 3.
