Summary: My own personal favorite out of all the Moning books so far
Review: I have really gotten addicted to the great writing and characters in Ms. Moning's books. The two characters have some great dialogue ala Taming of the Shrew. There is a definete sense of fun here which I enjoyed.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very good novel to escape into
Review: I recently was ill and bored when I came across this novel. It was an incredibly quick read, pure fantasy and alot of fun. The characters are never wishy washy and the story line very interesting. This really isn't my usual sort of novel, but I really loved it.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: fantastic romance
Review: If you enjoy romance novels with a sense of humor and a touch of whimsy this might be one for you. I liked Moning's style. I've read many fantasy and historical novels. Some have a forced feel. This one did not. And, while of course unbelievable things occur, the main character isn't forever questioning her sanity and trying to explain away her experiences. This story has a pleasant blend of magic and a touch of the past(although the historical aspects may not have been strict). The point is - historical romance novels have an open feel to them. Because the story occurs in the past, things can happen that we'd never accept in a contemporary romance story. With a fantasy aspect, truly anything can happen. I found this story to be quite entertaining. I didn't want to put it down. This was my first novel by this author. I definitely intend to seek out her other work.

Summary: Escapist Story - if you like to escape to Never Never Land
Review: Maybe I'm spoiled as I've read all of Diana Gabaldon (whose time travel books are stretch the imagination into believing that time travel can happen). My husband purchased this book for Christmas for me knowing that I love Scottish romances and that I liked the time travel books of Gabaldon. I found the book to be fantastical but simplistic and on the order of unicorns, magic crystals, and elves. The most deperate and annoying aspect of the book was that the unbelievably (and I use that word negatively) studly lover of the main female character demanded that the fairy prince (who banished her back to the future) bring her back to the past and to make sure he brought her cat back too. Her CAT?

This book had everything (and I mean everything: an oily rich bohunk who finds his "true love" and saves her cat...) that a woman desperate for bizarre extreme escapism would want. Maybe I'm cynical. I didn't enjoy it.

Summary: Up all night
Review: I bought this book on a friday afternoon. I happened to just pick it up in a bookstore and thought, "Why the Heck not?" The cover turned me off a little, but hey, it's romance. I usually read Lavryle Spencer and Beatrice Smalls books, but the bookstore had currently ran out of their novels. This book was sitting on the shelf out of place in plain sight so I read the back cover and snatched it.
I got home around 5 Started reading about 9 I had to finish the book to the end. I was up until 4 am finishing the book. It was intriguing...The time travel, the Heroine...I loved the fact that she was not a snivelling, whimpering woman who crumbled whenever a man scowled and screamed.
I love the fact that Hawk had to work for attention unlike in other bookd where a gorgeous man has woman falling all over him including the one that resists him at first.
I was a bit comfused by the King and Queen but I plan to go back and reread that section so that I can comprehend it better.
I thought that this book was one of a kind, I was definitely pleasantly suprised. I hope all who enjoy a good romance novel pick this book up and read it...I just hope that you don't stay up half the night trying to finish it like I did...and if you think it might happen to you, then read it on a friday!

Summary: Karen Marie Moning gets it right every time!
Review: I really enjoy this author's writing and wish she had more books out. This book was a fun, fast read and pure entertainment. (Although I love Diana Gabaldon, sometimes you don't want a whole epic...) I especially like the way that her books tie in with each other at some point. When you read a new one, you feel like you are visiting old friends or family. Keep it up, Karen! Write more, soon!

Summary: Great book
Review: This book was awsome!!! I usually read books on this level by Dara Joy. Great buy

Summary: Tacky Romance Novel
Review: If you have read the Outlander series by Dianna Gabaldon you will be quite disappointed. This book was placed under the historical fiction category. It is more romantic fiction than historical. That is not my style of reading material.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Why read this when you can read Diana Gabaldon?
Review: Sure, this is a great book, but it has all been done before. If you want a truly satisfying time travel romance, read Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series before you try anything else.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Got to read!
Review: What a wonderful book. If you enjoy Lindsay, Joyce, Garlock, Deveraux, Coulter, you've got to read this too. There's 4 books so far. Each one just gets better and better. The time travel aspect is very appealing. Characters are well made up and interesting.
