Rating: Summary: Come and visit the Sherebrookes again.... Review: although it's not much of a visit. If you are expecting this book to be as adventrous and daring as the others in this series, you will be let down. Although it was a fun read, and semi-enjoyable, it doesn't hold a candle to the four that preceded it!!!! This is the story of Meggie, who low and behold, decides she's in love with Jeremy, who in turn just became engaged. Surprise! A handsome devil falls in love with Meggie at first sight, becomes insanely jealous of Jeremy, and etc. etc. etc. I found that alot of this book came from out of left field. The mystery was no mystery, and the concept was vague. What ever happened to the suffering of true love? The agony of fighting for that love? The humor? If you are a huge CC fan, like me, don't pass this book up. You get to meet alot of the children and learn a bit about other characters, i.e. Devil's Embrace and Devil's Daughter. But if you're new to CC, don't waste your money!
Rating: Summary: great plot Review: Catherine Coulter's Pendragon is a great setting mixed into a great plot. This story is very unique and love inspiring. Meggie, a young naive women, grows to love a husband she speedily married. Great read
Rating: Summary: Another shining star for Coulter Review: Having read any and every historical romance written by this author, I bought Pendragon without a second thought. Even though the reviews weren't really great, this story really held my interest. So much so that it was hard to put the book down. I really enjoy reading an author that introduces a specific family and then continues the saga of that family through the next few novels. Looking back on all the historical romance novels I have read, I know that I have enjoyed the Sherbrooke family history. I sincerely hope that Ms. Coulter keeps writing.....even if she runs out of Sherbrookes.

Rating: Summary: Not one for snappy dialogue... Review: Having read Catherine Coulter for the last 15 years, I can safely say the Sherbrooke bride series is not her best work. The current offering, Pendragon, is as flat as the previous 4 books, offering little to no insight into the main character's thoughts while still providing a thick book. Our heroine, Meggie, supposedly intelligent, tends to prattle on aimlessly, interspersing intelligent thoughts with irrelevant fluff, thus giving this reader the impression of an educated nitwit. Coulter provides no reason for these incredibly circuitous verbal trails of hers. There are no pauses in the dialogue for her to provide us with the heroine's motivation for changing track in the middle of a soliloquy. Nor are there any indications in these unnaturally large chunks of dialogue of Meggie's feelings. You see more of Thomas's feelings, or should I say 'feeling', as he has the same feeling through the entire book - betrayal. Where Coulter could have deepened the story by providing a reason for Thomas's opening comment to Meggie, about lacking a loving mother, she drops this opportunity entirely, leaving us to form our own conclusions of his upbringing. Not particularly easy when all we see is the surface of the characters. Nor does she explain why Thomas's mother behaves as she does - once again, too much verbage with not enough insight. Coulter relies too much on dialogue to carry the plot of the novel, hence there is little depth in any of the characters, as she has failed to reveal the characters' motivations to us, thus delivering a flat, pat story that follows the same formula as the previous four. Get it second-hand if you must finish the series.
Rating: Summary: Couldn't Put It Down... Review: I absolutely loved this book. It was the first book that I have read by Catherine Coulter and I plan to read as many more of her books as I can find. I just picked up Pendragon at the airport. I was think it was just one of those fluffy romance novels. (I needed something to read.) It wasn't! I must say that I almost didn't make it past the first part, 'cat racing', but I am so glad that I did. After that the book really pulls you in. There are so many diffent characters, so many diffent aspects to the book. I highly recommend this book!!
Rating: Summary: was expecting more Review: I am a huge Catherine Coulter fan, I especially love the Sherbrooks. This was a very intertaining book, but compared to the Bride series it was lacking Sherbrook charm. It is a must read if you have read the previous books, but I was expecting a little more from it. A little less cat racing, and alot more Sherbrooks would have been nice.
Rating: Summary: Not Ms. Coulter's Best Review: I did not think this one of Ms. Coulter's best. It seemed a little bit tired. I liked the character Meggie, but Ms. Coulter seems to leave the reader hanging with unanswered questions. I highly recommend reading Ms. Coulter, but again, this is not one of her best works.
Rating: Summary: A very bad read Review: I don't know what is happening with authors these days, but with each book they seem to get worse and Catherine Coulter is following trend. Ms. Coulter's early works such as "The Legacy Trilogy", "The Magic Trilogy" were really good, but "Pengragon" was very bad. I didn't realy care about the either of the main characters and the only reason that read the book was the fact that I spent over eight dollars for it. Maybe Ms. Coulter and others should take a break and take the time to write a book that is worth its money.
Rating: Summary: Meggie Sherbrooke Review: I enjoyed this story. I was hoping CC would write about the next generation. There were so many spots that I laughed out loud.
