Summary: Perfect!
Review: This was my second Linda Howard book. I figured, no way could she outdo the passionate fire of "After the Night" but by Gum she did! Not only was it steamy and sexy, but also the characters were real. Usually I read about a strong, bold woman who is very self confident and eventually falls in love with the hero. I loved the fact that Roanna was helplessly, hopelessly in love with Webb from the outset and that she suffered from self-doubt like we real women do. Webb was an awesome hero. I loved the way he protected Roanna even when he doesn't quite trust her. Many times when I finish reading a book I'm left with the feeling that the characters would have done just as well with anyone, but in "Shades of Twilight" the only man for Roanna was Webb Tallant, and the only woman in the world for Webb was Roanna Davenport.

Summary: Great Book and sexy romance
Review: This was my second romance novel and I loved it! (i recommend Dream Man) The two main characters Roanna and Webb are very beleivable and its not a far-fetched story. Linda Howard transported me into Roanna's anxieties and Webb's desire for her... There is some mystery about Webb's first's wifes murder but they did not linger on it which I thought was a good choice. Don't worry you do find out who killed her at the end!

The only thing that bothered me was the fact that Webb and Roanna are cousins and well I thought it was kind of incestuous because there are some steamy scenes...

Summary: Definately One Of Linda Howard's Best
Review: This was the first of Howard's books that I had read...and the only one until I recently got three more of them. She is a great writer, and this is, by far, the best of her books I've read yet. The characters are deep and moving, especially Roanna. I'm not an emotional person, but I've yet to read this book without tearing up.

Summary: A good Linda Howard read
Review: This wasn't my favorite Linda Howard, although it was good. It was sexy and had the requisite mystery to keep things interesting. I did get turned off my Jessie's incestuous relationship (as I sure Howard meant for readers to feel). This wasn't as exciting as After the Night or Dream Man, but it's worth reading

Summary: Just THE BEST!!

Summary: Strong and Very Touching
Review: ~This is the best book anyone can read. I respected the main character and felt like she was confiding in me. She loved her own cousin, Webb, but he doesnt know and so he goes on to marry another cousin, Jesse. The incest in this book makes it even more emotional because the main character truly loved him. It wasnt a random person she loved but someone whose been with her since she was born. This makes their relationship so tender and adding on to the greatness of the book is the maternal~~ feeling one gets when reading about Roanna's mental state. She is so traumatized that she doesnt eat much, talk any, or even smile a little. Roanna is not the beauty that most authors create in their romances. She is plain and I feel more connected with her. I understand how she feels when her cousin, Jesse, who is all around perfect, gets everything including everyones love. This makes me side with Roanna and feel so in touch with the book. This is the best romance book this author has~~ produced and I urge everyone to read it.~
