Rating: Summary: Another great book...... I'm not surprised Review: MASTER OF SEDUCTION is the second book I have read by Kinley MacGregor and I was not disappointed. Her charactors are full of life, and of course, her charactors are funny. Lorelie Dupree was classy, yet flirtatious, and she seemed to have a clever system reguarding the training of men! Black Jack Rhys was the sexiest pirate! But he was on to her system, and wouldn't let her train him. Which made it more interesting. Because of a little wager they decided to place, they had a refreshing relationship onboard his ship, after he kidnapped her, of course. I personally like the fact that there weren't a slew of lies and deceit mingled all throughout thier growing relationship, just enough to make you turn that page. The crew on the ship was funny and I would get lost in their scenes on board the ship. The painting scenes were sexy and after reading them I couldn't help but wonder myself what kind of artist she was, with him being her "fruit"! It was hard for me to find a place in this book to stop reading so I could go to bed!
Rating: Summary: Woo Hoo! What a Pirate! Review: Black Jack Rhys and Lorelei were an amazing couple. She was a strong enough heroine for him and he was too strong for her to control. They were perfect counterparts to each other and kept this reader happy from the word go! The only fact that makes this book 4 stars instead of 5 was that in A Pirate of Her Own Jack had already married (as if Master of Seduction was the prequel to A Pirate of Her Own) but A Pirate of Her Own was released first. So Beware: If you like to read books in order, read Master of Seduction first!
Rating: Summary: Definite Keeper Review: A little while ago, I read Christine Feehan's Dark series and since then I have been in a reading rut. Everything I picked up was just boring and stale, until I found this book. Thank you, Kinley! I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat, just dying to know what would happen next and how Jack and Lorelei would get together. I was breathless and excited. This book was exactly what I needed.
Rating: Summary: One of the year's best Review: I live to read romance novels and here I find myself halfway through the year and I've already read this book twenty times. I keep buying others, Amanda Quick, Mary Jo Putney, Loretta Chase, Johanna Lindsey, Julia Quinn, Stephanie Laurens and while their books are wonderful too none of them have captured my heart the way this one did. I just love this book. Ms. MacGregor really knows how to turn a phrase to make a reader laugh and she has an understanding of human beings that is downright scary. Most of all, I like her hero who manages to be a perfect balance of raw, powerful man and tender lover. Definitely my current favorite author and I can't wait for her next.
Rating: Summary: SHE'S DONE IT AGAIN! Review: Kinley MacGregor has become my favorite author. I've read several books by other authors, but Kinley keeps your interest with her wit and humor as well as spellbinding sensuality. If you have a sense of humor and enjoy watching lovers caught in battle of the wits, you'll love her books. I can hardly wait for her next novel. I hope she doesn't give up this day job.
Rating: Summary: Deborah/Rheys Review: I HAVE BEEN READING THESE TYPE OF NOVELS FOR 24 YEARS AND BELIEVE THAT KINSLEY IS ONE OF THE BEST AUTHORS I HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE OF READING.YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE THE CHARACTER WITH BLACK JACK INSTEAD OF LORILEI. I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO HAS A STRONG COMPELLING IMAGINATION. ITS A SHAME THAT KINSLEY CAN'T WRITE FASTER, IT'S A LONG TIME UNTIL FEB 2001 FOR HER NEXT BOOK. HURRY UP!
Rating: Summary: Pirates and belles and brawn--oh my! Review: Her first book was great, and this one is even better! Imagine a handsome pirate with lust in his eyes and a woman who cannot be taken or outwitted... Imagine the possibilites and humor and you will have some idea of how clever this book is.It has all the ingredients that make up a well written, compelling book that opens with a hook and keeps readers captivated until the very end. I stayed up half the night until I finished it. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Keep them coming Kinley...PLEASE!
Rating: Summary: It was okay. Review: I enjoyed it, but it read like a generic romance. Her description of Jack Rhys is incredible and the story line is interesting. But it just left me sort of flat. If you like romance with not much else in the plotline - read it, you won't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: shiver me timbers! Review: Black Jack Rhys is a pirate with an agenda. He wants to avoid the noose while forcing a confrontation with his mortal enemy. Enter Lorelei Dupree. Sassy, smart and too adventurous for her own good. She's engaged to the son of his nemesis and in Jack's way when he needs to escape and he knows by taking her his arch-enemy will come after them. But little does he know he has met his match in every way as he tries to seduce the Charleston Belle who vows he will go down on his knees to propose before she gives into his wicked charm. This book is utterly delightful. I loved the play between them as each one edges closer to the other while falling hopelessly in love. Great dialogue, great characters and great fun. Kinley MacGregor, if you read this, I want you to know I loved your book and plan on getting everything with your name on it!
Rating: Summary: Great Book . . . Excellent Writer Review: Kinley MacGregor does it again! First in A Pirate of Her Own, and now with Master of Seduction. Not only is Jack the lovable blackguard from Pirate of Her Own back, he's met his match! This is a wonderful book, full of one-liners that kept me in stitches, love scenes that sizzled, and Ms. MacGregor's exciting writing style that just keeps the pages turning. It's going to be hard to wait for her next book. Kudos to Kinley. Please, keep 'em coming!
