Rating: Summary: WoW !!!!! =))) Review: The story is really sweet that I swear it made me smile all day long (even in my sleep, I think =P). Master of Desire is my first book of her. I love it sooo much that I finally went hunting for her older books and found this book at my fave used bookstore. Jack is sooo gentleman. And the way he act towards Lori is so nice and sweet. This book is really a keeper ^_^
Rating: Summary: Fabulous fun on the High Seas Review: I've long been a fan of pirate novels and I have to say this one is a real pirate's treasure. Not since A Pirate's Love by Lindsey have I laughed this hard. Jack is a hero's hero and Lorelei is just the woman to tame him. Smart, sassy and clever, this book is for anyone who loves a good cat and mouse chase.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful keeper Review: It's rare these days for me to find a romance I can read in one setting. I usually get bored and have to put it down for a bit and come back to it, but this book captured me from the first page. It was poignant and fun and touched my heart in a way very few books ever have. I loved the bantering in it. Exceptional and I can't wait to read more Kinley MacGregor's work. Do yourself a favor and read this book.
Rating: Summary: A Keeper Review: Master of Seduction opens not on board a ship, but at a tory party where Lorelei and Jack first meet and where they are caught up in a plot to capture Jack and bring him to justice. When next they meet, Lorelei is disguised a tavern maid to help find the pirate king for her fiance. But when she finds him, her fiance won't listen. After all, everyone knows Jack Rhys would never be refined enough to pass for royalty. Taking matters into her own hands, Lorelei exposes Jack and what ensues is a fight for your life run where Jack kidnaps Lorelei and decides to use her to bring his enemy to him. The book is wonderfully fresh with tender scenes and laugh out loud moments never seen before in fiction, never mind romance. The writer is intelligent, the love scenes hot and the characters make you care. Combine a host of secondary characters guaranteed to win your heart and what you have is one incrediblly good read. I'll definitely be reading this author again.
Rating: Summary: A fabulous good time Review: This book kept me laughing the whole entire time. A great read with action, romance and a hero who will not stop making you want him. Black Jack Rhys is one of the best heroes I've ever met in romance. I read this one and Master of Desire in one night. Kinley is a great talent and I can't wait to read the rest of her books. Keep it up Kinley!
Rating: Summary: Disappointed Review: The hype for this book did not live up to the content. The "Master" of Seduction was not even close to being a master and in fact seemed at times fairly naive. Next time I will be more selective in my choice of MacGregor books.
Rating: Summary: A Keeper Review: I don't read a lot of pirate books, but this one swept me away. Lorelei is funny and charming, Jack is dangerous and heroic. I can't remember the last time I had such a good time in a book and I can't wait to read more books by this author. I think what I liked best was the fact that each character had such a well thought out background. They felt real to me and if I met them on the street, I could see us as friends.
Rating: Summary: readable but short Review: This book was good, but not great. I bought it on the absolutely glowing reviews here. Ms. Macgregor is a good story teller, although I thought this book seemed to be missing some detail. I liked the interjection of humor, which is often missing in romance novels. One last note, and this is my pet peeve, the picture of the half naked man on the front does not in any way reflect Jack as written. He is supposed to be blond. Why do they put those stupid pictures on anyway, it makes it impossible to leave the house for fear someone might see and make fun of your reading choice.
Rating: Summary: READ THIS BOOK! Review: If you like men who are men and not bullies or pigs, you will LOVE THIS BOOK. Kinley MacGregor writes heroes like nobody's business. I read this in one night hand have just started Master of Desire which is WOW! As soon as I get off of here, I'm on my way to finish that one too. Do yourself a favor, buy a MacGregor book tonight!
Rating: Summary: A great discovery! Review: I'd never read a Kinley MacGregor book before MASTER OF SEDUCTION. I picked it up on a friend's recommendation, and I'm really glad I did! The first strength of this book lies in the characterizations. Black Jack Rhys is a pirate--a romance staple, but as Kinley portrays him, he's anything but a romance cliche. As the story progresses, the heroine discovers more and more about Black Jack s past (he has a top-notch education, he has a child, and he's got a slew of other secrets), and each discovery strengthens the story. Even though the heroine is a well-to-do woman with a fiance--the last possible woman who should get involved with a pirate--you'll be rooting for this couple to get together, and by the end you'll believe that they can truly live happily ever after. The second strength of this book (and the reason I'll be buying Kinley MacGregor again) was that MASTER OF SEDUCTION is simply a fun, spirited romp. I thoroughly lost myself in the story, and now I can't wait to get MASTER OF DESIRE. Brava!! A wonderfully romantic read.
