Breath of Scandal

Summary: could have been great...
Review: This book had such a great plot premise that it could have been great. It would even have made a pretty good movie. But she turned it into soft porn (as she nearly always does) and it seriously hurt the book. I'm no prude, but I don't need details of every move two people make in the bedroom to understand where the relationship went. Too bad; it really was a great plot, and the characterizations were pretty good, too.

Review: This book had such an interesting plot that you're just begging for more by every page-turn. It portrays strength and motivation by painting a picture of teen who was raped -but rose above the horror and making it in the world. I give it 5 stars because that's what it deserves. Sandra Brown never fails to astonish me.

Review: This book was pretty good. I thought the plot was pretty believable, with one exception: Jade's son's basically nonchalant reaction to being informed that he was the product of a rape was completely unbelievable. Such a revelation would have had incredibly damaging psychological consequences on a 14-year-old boy. I thought the fact that Jade had kept this important fact from her son was very irresponsible and selfish, and the author basically chickened out and failed to hold Jade responsible for this. Other than, an entertaining read.

Summary: I loved the book
Review: This is the first Sandra Brown novel I've read. I couldn't put the book down it was that good. Plus there was something shocking to happen at the end of some of the chapters. There is no way you can figure out what is going to happen. One of the readers commented that there was really no hot sex, which is very true but what is lacking in sex makes up in suspense.

I haven't read many of Sandra Brown's works but in my opinion, this one is her best!"
