Summary: Scandalous Look Into Smalltown America...Heartbreaking
Review: A very serious and scary look into Smalltown, America in the late 70's and 80's where one family can make or break anyone, including the law. Where the rules are ignored and ignorance reigns.
This was a serious yet uplifting story about a young woman who was brought down by this family and faced a woman's most horrifying nightmare and lived to tell about it. Her struggle through years of nightmares and torment and no justice. A place where no one can help her...everyone suspects the worst yet turns a blind eye.
This is the story of Jade Sperry, a 18 year old girl in a tiny town in South Carolina who has big dreams of going to college and becoming someone when a horrible twist of fate throws her into a pit of regret and fear. She can't talk to anyone, no one believes her. No one WANTS to help her.
Practically run off, Jade makes a life for herself and becomes a stronger woman in spite of her past. Years later, with vengeance on her mind and revenge burning in her gut, she returns to South Carolina where everyone remembers a 18 year old woman who left in scandal. This time she proves she is no niave girl with stars in her eyes, she proves a worthy enemy to the powerful family who ruined her life.
Jade will not give up until her past is avenged...even if it means risking a new love blossoming for her.

A powerful tale about greed, violence and true love. I was awed by it and recommend this story to anyone who wants to read about someone being thrown down and then picking themselves back up and moving forward, even though the odds are against them. Very inspiring Ms. Brown, I loved it. Strong characters and strong plot make a winner here...

Summary: Great Read
Review: After recently reading "Envy" and "Mirror Image", both recommended to me by others and thoroughly enjoying both of those books, I decided I was hooked on reading more Sandra Brown. I picked this book up when my work was having a book fair to raise money. I was not disappointed with this choice! I thought Ms. Brown did an excellent job of developing the plot and the characters along with some good love scenes. I really liked the character of Jade Sperry and admired her. I think Sandra Brown does a great job of intertwining the story itself along with some suspence and sex. To me, this makes the book a little more interesting. If you are like me in that you are still new to reading Sandra Brown, I think this book is a good choice. I still have a ways to go as far as reading more of her other books. I have read a couple of her romance novels she wrote in her earlier days under a different name and while some are ok, some you can leave alone as well. But I do think Sandra Brown is a good author and will look to keep reading her other books along with new books when they come out.

Summary: Sandra Brown at her best
Review: An absolute must read for any Sandra Brown fan. A young woman wronged by a small town "good old boys" system grows up to become a woman of strength. A woman who returns with vengence on her mind and a determination to right the wrongs her own way. I have read almost all of Brown's work and Breath of A Scandal and The Witness capture the top two spots!

Summary: Excellent!
Review: As with most of Sandra Brown's books, this was an excellent book. It had me guessing all the way to the end how Jade would get revenge and she was very clever about how she went about it. I never would have guessed. And Dillon was the perfect hero. Even though I can guess how the story went on after the book ended, I would have liked to see an epilogue with where everyone ended up, including Neal and her mother. I read this book late into the night, fell asleep reading it and woke up early in the morning just so I could finish it uninterrupted before my family woke up. I just bought 4 more of her books and I'm sure they'll be as good as the rest.

Summary: Scandal in a small town!
Review: BREATH OF SCANDAL, by Sandra Brown, is a real mystery lovers delight. A story that had me on the edge of my seat during the entire read of the book. The characters are believable, the dialogue entertaining, and the plot to die for. A very appealing combination!

Summary: enjoyable
Review: I always enjoy reading books by Sandra Brown. This book was good but comparing it to other S.B. books, not one of the best. Some of my favorites are: French Silk, Fat Tuesday, Mirror Image, The Witness.

Summary: One of her best books EVER
Review: i can't say enough good things about this book~ You will not be disapointed~ I started reading it- then 10 hrs later I had finished it. It was that good, I couldn't even put it down. After reading the book I caught myself wondering about the indivduals characters in the book and wishing there was more to the story. If you are a new reader of S. Brown or a faithful reader (like I), I hope you don't miss this one.

Summary: I am a big fan of Sandra Brown
Review: I have read and kept most of her books so any you have listed for me to read, I probably have read. This is one of some very interesting twists of intrigue and I found this to be one of my favorites. Horrible things happen to good people and sometimes the bad people receive their justification and sometimes not. This is also a very sexy and erotic book that later on takes place and it's just one book you can't put down because you have to find out how the story plays out. Reading the ending is 'taboo' but you also miss so much when you do that.
