Summary: If you liked 'Jemima J'.......You'll LOVE Mr. Maybe!
Review: If you thought Jemima J was good--wait till you read Mr. Maybe. It's even better, being that it's more grown-up and realistic (jemima J had to resort to the very UNbelievable "bizarre fetish" excuse, where in Mr. Maybe there is none of that last-minute scrap). It reads REAL, and feels REAL. It will really hit home to you, making you identify the characters with either yourself or someone you know. In addition, Libby is even more likeable than Jemima J, and she radiates a sense of kindred womanhood that we can all relate to. Sometimes the sophomore effort pays off, and that is absolutely true in Jane Green's case. Jemima J--i thought it was great. And then I read Mr. Maybe--it totally outshines them all.

Summary: A little raunchy but good!
Review: I have to say that Jane Green definately knows how to grab ones attention. Libby is trying to find that one special person in her life but she is torn between an extremely wealthy man and gorgeous jobless hunk. Her body is drawn towards the gorgeous man with no money who get money to live from the government but her mind is infactuated with a man that has power and loads of money. The real issue here is which one is right for her? You would have to read and find out which one she truly picks!

Summary: I couldn't put this book down!
Review: I am that type of person that starts reading books and usually never finishes them, but I finished this book in 2 days. Mr. Maybe reminded me a lot of Bridget Jones's Diary (which I also loved) the narration style was somewhat similar and so was the humor. I could see a lot of myself in the main character, Libby, and by the end of the book I felt like we were old friends. What prompted me to read this book was the review I read about it in Cosmopolitan magazine, and I would highly recommend this book to to all of my friends.

Summary: Amazing book.....
Review: Although it is pretty much predictable. I could not put the book down once I started reading. I went a day without sleep just to read and laugh about the story of Libby Mason's quest for a perfect mate...

Summary: A real woman's book
Review: I have to admit, the front cover of the book was what first caught my attention :) Ouch.. Anyway, I read the book in two days and absolutely hated having to put it down. The reason I love it is that it's so brutally honest about things that all women have thought about, even if they don't care to admit it. I admire the way that Libby thinks sometimes because I find a bit of myself in her and some of the foolish things she done, especially with her past boyfriends. I would recommend this book to any woman who isn't afraid to get "down and dirty."

Summary: Great!
Review: I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced, witty, likeable and fun. Although I found the lead character a little on the shallow side with some redemption in the end, this story still made me smile. I was very sad to get to the end because I was enjoying the writing style and getting to know the characters. Some elements of the story were left unresolved, but nothing too crucial to the plot. This is a definite must read if you really enjoyed Jemima J. Jane Green has a wonderful writing style that is relatable, fresh, and easy going.

Summary: Wonderfully funny
Review: I loved this book. IT was just laugh out loud funny from the very first page. I finished reading it in onesitting. I love Jane Green's style of narrative. Libby is a funny character I'm sure we can all relate to. I found a bit of Libby in me!

It's funny how we all think we know everything but we still have a lot of growing up to do....

This is a great book to read on a rainy day. I highly recommend it!

Summary: Decisions, Decisions...
Review: What do you do when faced with being a single woman who wants to find Mr. Right? Well, in the case of Libby Mason you go out with a man that is totally wrong for you in every sense of the word. No job, no future, no relationship but amazing in the bed.
You then break up and get engaged to a man that has to be the worst thing in bed, no personality, but plenty of money.
Mr. Maybe is a good story of what is more important LOVE or MONEY. What would you choose?

Summary: One of the better British writers.
Review: Ok.. I too have fallen trap to the easy read world of the British Singleton Genre. I love it! Jane Green is one of the BEST authors in this circuit. Her character is loveable and not incredible annoying- even though you do want to smack her in the face a few times (but it just makes you feel better about yourself- and she does see the light eventually).
MR. Maybe is a great addition to the singleton library- Jemima J is great too! Buy them both!
