Rating: Summary: Mr. Maybe is a lot of fun! Review: Mr. Maybe is a coming of age novel about a woman in her late twenties experiencing life as a single in the nineties. She has deal with boyfriends, bosses, friends, and her parents throughout all of her problems in the novel. This book will make you laugh one minute and cry the next. I could not put it down. I finished the novel within three days.Jane Green is a talented author. She uses stream of conciousness, fiirst person, similes, and metaphors to add to the novel's flare. She gives a woman's perspective of things on all kinds of different issues in the novel. She cannot be considered a role model, though, because their are some immoral behaviors she has her character partake in. I would recommend this novel to any teenage female or woman.
Rating: Summary: Rich or Gorgeous? Review: Mr. Maybe is a fun novel about the life of Libby,a woman in PR who cannot decide on the right guy. With her exciting social life, she meets new men constantly, and she might have finally met the right one. Now she must choose between an older rich man with a mustache and an attractive guy who makes her laugh. With her disapproving mother trying to pry into her personal life, Libby lives the ups and downs of love with the support of a few good friends. Jane Green's novel is, as usual, very entertaining and a wild ride. You literally will not want to put this one down.

Rating: Summary: Mr. Maybe is a Sure Thing Review: As Libby's love life unwinds you can't help falling in love with poor, unambitious Nick, and neither can Libby. Nick is the man every woman wishes she could find! Mr. Maybe is a wonderful book, and will force a smile across your lips as you turn the last page!
Rating: Summary: Entertaining Albeit Predictable Review: The predictability of this book deterred me during the first 100 pages, but the plot twisted a little and it then became an entertaining, if still light, read. Libby is another one of those English girls who has a fun career in public relations, a nice circle of friends but feels her lovelife is lacking. Two guys appear on the scene, worlds apart, and the story basically becomes about who she will choose. Like too many women in real life, Libby's focus is on having a wedding as opposed to having a marriage, i.e. its all about "the big day", rather than the reality of a lifelong commitment. This is a well-written story, a fun read but expectations for something different in this genre of books should be limited.
Rating: Summary: Tapped into women Review: There's no other way to describe the way Jane Green writes. For any women who have ever felt less than beautiful, or somehow not quite perfect, Jane Green gives hope. Her books are light, sweet, and fun to read. Not everything can be an epic like "Paradise Lost," nor should everything be so. Jane Green's books are fresh and smart, and I'd reccommend them without a doubt. Jemima J and Bookends are even better than Mr. Maybe!
Rating: Summary: Perfect for every Single Woman! Review: I absolutely loved this book! You fall in love with the character, Libby within the first few pages and can completely relate to every dating situation that she goes through. I recommend this book to every single woman out there! It helps you feel a little less alone and may even help you decide the direction that you need to go in your life! I LOVE THIS BOOK!
Rating: Summary: Entertaining Fluff Read Review: Ok, so I admit it. Between "meaningful" contemporary fiction, I like to have a go at quick Bridget Jones-type reads. Mr. Maybe definitely fits the bill. The novel features Libby, a 27-year-old career girl who is desperate to no longer be single. The book focuses on her relationships with two men - Nick, whom she fancies but seems like no one that she'd ever consider seriously dating, and Ed, everything she's ever wanted... except for his dull as dirt personality. It's obviously not a stretch to figure out with whom Libby will end up, but it's the getting there that's the fun part. The novel also features a strong cast of supporting characters - Libby's mom is a hoot, and her wise friend Jules always offers good advice. The graphic sex scenes were a little much for me (made me feel like I was reading a Harlequin romance), but other than that, Mr. Maybe was exactly what I expected from Jane Green, having already read Jemima J. A breezy, light read. Also recommended are Marian Keyes and Anna Maxted. Now back to the harder stuff...
