Rating: Summary: Great SEAL romance Review: I've read so may books over the years it's hard to find one that sticks out. This is one of those books that you'll pass to friends, and make sure you get back. Lots of plot (and pages) for the money. Makes me want to join the Navy (almost).Be sure to read Out of Control and Into the Night. Gone too Far due out July 2003.
Rating: Summary: Suzanne Brockmann just dazzles Review: Suzanne Brockmann has taken romantic suapense by storm with her action-packed theillers. She dazzles readers with her remarkable cast of tough and tender U.S Navy Seals. The Defiant Hero,The Unsung Hero and Over the edge -are thrilling novels of steadfast courage, intimate passions and the profound risks that are taken between the call or duty and the lure of destiny in the name of love. The characters are very captivating and easy to love.None more then Sam and Alyssa.I love the two of them, they are the reason why I read all of her books in the Navy Seals series.I would love to see them get their own book and fine love and happiness together, soon PLEASE.
Rating: Summary: Over the Edge - and then some! Review: Wow! Brockmann juggles three romance plots threading through a terrific military action/adventure story and she does it so smoothly you don't even notice until the end. She also does her usual very smoothforeshadowing to set up for the next book in the series, Out of Control (also *****). And the ... is hot - so what else do you want! Painfully shy Navy Reserve pilot Teri Howe, the one with the "Walk On Me" sign on her back, becomes Senior Chief Wolcholnok's special project; after all, he can fix anything, right? The Senior Chief thinks the ideal fix will be to set Teri up with his friend and fellow SEAL Mike Muldoon; after all, with a SEAL for a boyfriend, who'd have the nerve to ... harass her? But as the "Get Teri a Spine" op proceeds, Teri might just work up the nerve to say what she really wants... The Sam and Alyssa show continues, and even reaches resolution - twice. Max Bhagat becomes a fully fleshed-out character, as does Mike Muldoon (don't forget to look for foreshadowing). People live, people die, Alyssa gets her chance to participate in a SEAL op, Sam gets some very bad news, and WildCard is finally free of Adele. Unless you are a pacifist, you'll love this book.
Rating: Summary: Just wonderful... Review: Suzanne Brockmann has fast become one of my favorite authors. With this newest installment of her newest Navy Seal Series, Brockmann shows us that we haven't seen nothing yet. Over the Edge, was a fast-paced, intense page turner. The romance between Stan and Terri was great and Brockmann tastefully blended it with the suspense and action that I have come to love. We get to see yet another installment of Sam and Alyssa...one that hints of MUCH more to come. Great book, great series, great author.
Rating: Summary: If it would be a 6 or 7 I'll scale it so. Review: I just descovered Suzanne Brockmann with this book. Not only it has more then one couples, the principal one as it is romance click at end, some others not, but it has many very good secondary caracters, each of them full of life. It has thriller adventure that does not seem to interfere with romance but enhanches it. It has some old lady with Alzenheimer coming fast on her, who brings us back to Danmark at second word word, and all that together waiven admirably.
Rating: Summary: left me hanging Review: This is the first Brockmann book I have read and the first review I am compelled to write. The book for the most part was very well written, however was most dissapointed with the story between Alyssa and Sam. Take this to heart readers, I don't want to read another one of her books because of the unresolved story line and am worried if I do I she will just leave me hanging again. I want to feel happy at the end of a book, not sad that two main characters did not get together. I was also dissapointed that one female(Teri)character who was a helicopter pilot for the Navy was so weak minded that she could not care of her own problems, but did like the story between her and Stan. The WWII I completely skimmed through.
Rating: Summary: Her best yet, and I can't wait for more! Review: I have become a huge fan of Suzanne Brockmann's books, and she makes me love her characters. In earlier stories, I had not been enamoured of this particular hero so was not sure how I would react to a whole book about him. No fear, I was hooked from the beginning, and as always, enjoyed the story within the story and WWII background. However, Suzanne, you have left a lot of us worried about Sam! I am not sure I can wait six months while he struggles in this unhappy marriage...
Rating: Summary: One of the best! Review: I was kind of weary about this book when I got it, but I fell into the whole plot not long after I started it. I loved the plot!!! This book shows you a bit of the SEAL life and what they face. The romance in it was just enough to keep the book going and not over-shadow the true basis behind the book. The book was written with the feeling that you were part of the SEAL team going in to attack the terrorists. I so think that everyone should read this book if you like a little romance and a lot of action that makes you feel that you are right there on the line between safety and death.
Rating: Summary: great story....... Review: I really enjoyed this one also, I liked the (kind of tough, teddy bear type) Senior Chief and found his love interest likeable. I also found the parts where he tried to set her up with other guys humorous. Allyssa and Sam are intriging and want to hear more about them. A great story with great characters
Rating: Summary: unrealistic relationships Review: The relationships between Teri and Stan and Alyssa And Sam did not resemble in any way real life. Either Mrs Brockmann has had a number of poor relationships herself and does not know real life or she can't write about man and woman as they would normally interact. The story is good.
