Review: I had not read any of Lisa Kleypas' books before "Stranger in My Arms". I found the summary on the back of the book so intriguing I just had to get it. I really enjoyed reading this book because it was such a wonderful story, the characters seemed to be very believable and down to earth. Laura and Hunter were such a cool couple - they really complemented each other. The book was very uplifting and such a pleasure to read I hated for it to end. This is one of the best historical romances I have read in a long time. I will definitely buy more of her books. Well done, Lisa Kleypas!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A WONDERFUL LOVE STORY! Review: This is an absolutely fantastic read. Lara and Hunter are a loving and passionate couple. Their love overcomes many obstacles, especially that of Hunter's true identity, proving the old saying that "love conquers all". I recommend it to anyone. You'll love it. Trust me!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A wonderfully written love story. Review: I could not put this book down. It was very exciting to read. You end up wondering if this man is really who he said he is. Without giving the end away to anyone, it'll keep you up all night. I just had to find out if it really was a stranger in her arms or a changed husband. You'd be surprised. Good reading!!!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Oh those love scenes....! Review: This is the first of Ms. Kleypas' books that I've read, and I did so because the plot sounded intriguing. Ms. Kleypas creates her characters so well, I feel as if I know them. I was moved by the tenderness of her character, Lara, particularly in her interactions with children. They were touching. The leading man, Hunter, was amusing, charming, and so "inspiring" when he turned up the sexual heat. I won't look at a stairwell the same way ever again! This is definitely not the last of Ms. Kleypas's books for me! I gave up my weekend for this gem, because I couldn't put it down!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Lisa Kleypas is awesome! Review: This was the first book I read by her and I'm looking forward to reading more! In "Stranger in my Arms" I couldn't stop reading until I knew the truth - about Lord Hawsworth - and I got a great surprise! He's definately MY kind of hero!
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: pleasant read--no surprises Review: Yes it was a little disapppointing that the author did no more than follow the expected script. and yes it would have been better if there were more than just the one plot twist (for example "Somersby's" Jodie Foster having to disown Richard Gere in order to try to save him from hanging). Nevertheless, the story has enough substance to keep you reading and the hero pushed all my romantic buttons--very needy of her tenderness to purge him from his loveless childhood. I especially adored his steadfast devotion to her.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent book with hot, steamy characters. Review: This book held my attention from the very first page. I read it every free minute I had--at home, on the subway, during lunch.Ms. Kleypas has a knack for setting up explicit sexual imagery in the reader's mind through a lot of teasing and sexual tension between the two main characters. After reading this book, I was definitely feeling very romantic towards my spouse. Keep up the good work Ms. Kleypas!! I look forward to your next book.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I couldn't put it down Review: I loved this book. Hunter and Lara are characters I'll always remember. This is the first book I've read by Lisa Kleypas, and it won't be my last.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Excellent until the last 50 pages Review: I have read all of Kleypas's works and find them to be very well-written, entertaining, and compelling. This book fit the bill until the last 50 pages or so, when apparently our author realized she had to end the book. To say the least, the ending is farcical and almost unbelievable. Still, the book as a whole was very good, and although the most of the characters were stereotypes, they seemed to fit in this story. I look forward to her next book!
