Rating: Summary: Weak heroine - Philandering hero Review: This book has a theme that in my opinion does not belong anywhere in a "romance" novel. The keyword is romance and there is nothing romantic about a cheating hero. Niall strays from Sabrina in a bid to deny his feelings for her and to prove she has no hold on him. What made this more disturbing was that Sabrina caught him having sex with his former mistress and stood watching, then ran away crying. You feel terrible for her. Niall, after having sex with his mistress, feels a "faint twinge of guilt" and realizes his feelings for his wife weren't lessened by what he did so he tells his mistress he won't be visiting her again. Then the two of them go on for a final farewell bout of sex. I gather his twinge of guilt was so very faint that it was easy to overlook. So here we are reading the details of Niall's adultery and reading how hurt Sabrina is, but then she goes on to sleep with him later that night and makes no mention to him that she saw him with another woman. Personally, I like strong heroines and Sabrina became an annoying twit whenever in the vicinity of the philandering hero. All he had to do was lay a hand on her and she became a mindless fool. While its all well and good to read of strong desires between protagonists, its irritating when it makes the characters weak and foolish. Even though Sabrina got a bit stronger towards the end and Niall redeems himself somewhat, I was still left with a bad taste in my mouth.
Rating: Summary: A little realism never hurts a book... Review: This book is one of my favorites, and one I can enjoy reading over and over. Yes, Niall cheats on Sabrina, but personally I like some realism in my romance - is that too much to ask? This is not a run-of-the-mill romance and readers looking for "perfect" protagonists and relationship are not going to enjoy it. Sabrina is not an hourglass-shaped black-haired/blue-eyed or even blond/green-eyed miss and Niall is not the dashing brooding rogue who is ironically faithful. This is what makes this book so great since in the end they both overcome their imperfections.
Rating: Summary: funny, tender, sensual Review: This was a wonderful read! The quiet heroine grows in confidence and beauty as she learns to love as the macho, supersexy and charming hero steps off his pedestal into what real life and real love is...who said eating a little humble pie ever hurt anyone? (especially as love adds a little steam)
Rating: Summary: Overall, a good read. Review: This was the first book of Nicole Jordan's that I have read. Overall, I felt it was a good read. Very steamy and I loved the battle scene. I loved how Niall (Europes most notorious lover) fell so hard for little Sabrina. Very cute. The only thing I wish the author would have done less is focus on how handsome Niall was and what a great lover he was. O.k. I got the point from the beginning, but I didn't need to be reminded of that every other page. But, that aside, I liked the story and how Sabrina ended up being a stunning woman by the end. She actually was always beautiful, most of her "ordinary looks" were all in her head and Niall worked hard to try to convince her just how desirable she really was.
Rating: Summary: Great story! Review: When I bought this book, I read the reviews and was a little iffy about it because how Niall cheated on Sabrina. Normally, I do not like the cheating but some reviewers made it sound alot worse then it really is. The scene was heartbreaking and real, which is why I thought it did the book good. It really is not all that bad. It more fits in with the story. Its the slap that Niall needed and its not like Sabrina let him walk all over her. She is a very strong heroine and Niall is a great hero. I look foreward to her next book with baited breath. I cant wait. And if you have read the reviews and are discouraged, don't be. This book will not disapoint.
