Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent!
Review: Both main characters make this book worth reading. And, the supporting cast is truly supporting to the story. I loved Zachary because he was a warrior type man and WAS NOT like the men of the upper class aristocrats. He was not your usual romance novel hero and that made this story excellent. And, as usual, Ms Kleypas is very good at writing love scenes.

Summary: I love this book
Review: I love all Lisa Kleypas books, but this one I think is as grand as her other book Someone Watching Over Me (which was my favorite). This book was so romantic, I want to read it over and over and over again. It reminded me for some reason, of The King and I. He was rough around the edges,no manners, filthy rich, and the heroine was a true Lady, hired to make him a gentleman. I think it stands out all on its own, and seemed very original. I loved, loved, loved this book. It touches your heart with every page from page 1 to the last page.

Summary: Splendid beyond words!!!
Review: Zachary Bronson was definitely uncouth. Ms. Kleypas created a hero that was imperfect but not immune to the affairs of the heart. It was a sweet and touching story of two people coming from two different worlds.

Summary: Warm, sweet, enchanting....
Review: Once again, Lisa Kleypas gave me a couple to sigh over.... I fall for ALL of LK's characters!
Although some of Lady Holly's actions didn't seem in character for her, I thought she showed a lot of intelligence about deciding to secure her & her daughter's futures. I REALLY appreciate intelligent characters. I like the kind of friend she was to the ladies, & especially the wonderful mother she was to Rose.
Zachary was just too lovable.... manipulative - Yes - but lovable none-the-less. His sense of design & decor was too funny to be believed... I chuckled more that once over that. His sense of family loyalty & the way he interacted with Rose (Holly's daughter) just helped to make him a man to sigh over....
If you like sweet, sweet romances, then you just can't beat the warm & fuzzy feelings (did I mention hot feelings too??) that a LK historical romances gives you.

Summary: wish I could give 6 stars
Review: This was my second Kleypas book, and this is my favorite so far. I just love this book. The story, the characters, the romance, even the cover of the book is gorgeous. I finished it on New Years Day, and what a perfect way to start the new year. I handed it off to my mother in law as soon as I finished it, and she read it the next day. We both just loved it.

Summary: Memorable and worth reading
Review: Wealthy but poorly bred rake hires titled widow to teach him how to behave. She agrees only because it will provide her with enough money to see her infant daughter proporly raised and dowried. Extreme opposites; naturally sparks fly and they fall in love! Memorable! Denoument too long, though ...

Summary: not up to kleypas standard
Review: no real passion in this one...and i hate when historical romance writers make their heroines too old to be innocent and refreshing.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: One of Kleypa's best!
Review: I have read several of Kleypa's books and I either absolutely loved it (Stranger in my Arms) or completely hated it (Prince of Dreams). Where Dreams Begin is definitely one of the former.

Zachary Bronson is a self made millionaire. Despite his money and all he has achieved society will not accept him because he's baseborn. One evening he meets a mysterious lady at a party, he confuses her with someone else and they share a scorching, mind numbing kiss. The lady flees in mortification and Zach is left wondering who his mysterious lady is and of course he's determined to find her and make her his!
The mysterious lady in question is Lady Holly. Holly has been widowed but she genuinely grieves for her dead husband (something that is extremely unusual in romance novels). Zach finds her and talks her into tutoring him and his family in the social graces so they can be accepted into society.
Zach's family is wonderful and Holly finds herself falling in love with them and with Zach. She refuses to give in to her feelings because she feels she's somehow betraying her dead husband and what they had together.

The reason I gave the book 4 stars is because I felt that (gasp!) passion was lacking between the main characters. A Kleypa's book where the love scenes don't burn up the pages? No way!, you say. Well, all I can say is that the love scenes are nice and beautifully written but for a Kleypas book they are definitely lacking.

Otherwise this is a great story and it is highly recommended. :)

Summary: Very Emotional
Review: I have read every book by Lisa Kleypas and loved every one. This was another great book -- more heartbreaking than most, though it will probably stay in my mind forever and it does end happily.

Summary: A Dream of an Author
Review: I started out reading Lisa Kleypas with Stranger in My Arms (fabulous I might add) and then systematically bought and read everything she has written. Lisa Kleypas is an exceptionally accomplished author, and in my opinion, anything she writes is a 5 or better!
With Where Dreams Begin you have the story of the the fabulously wealthy Zachary Bronson - handsome, virile, sexy and with bad taste. Bad taste that is except for his attraction to the upstanding and socially correct widow Lady Holly Taylor.

In an effort to lure her to him he offers her a job at an astronomical salary to instruct him and his family in the refinements that would ultimately open doors for them to the drawing rooms of the ton.

Unknown, to him and to her, was that Lady Holly Taylor was finally being awakened to her sensuallity and he, jaded person that he was, had fallen irrevocably in love. This next to the last novel in my pile by Lisa Kleypas, will make you laugh and cry. Lady Holly's daughter Rose, is an unexpected joy that tugs at your heartstrings. Comments reinforcing the saying, 'out of the mouths of babes'.

Definitely a keeper (along with every other novel she has written) to be read and savored again.
