Review: I have finished ADDICTED and it is the BOOMMMMMMMMMM! And It had a happy ending. Yesssssssss! Zane is aright in my Book. The Girl is out of sight. She is like Beverly Jenkins to me. And that is saying alot. I just could not put it down. This is a must read. I have not read Zane's first book but I plan to.

Review: This is my first time reading Zane's work and now I am a follower. I have to find her other books. I found Addicted to be addicting. I did not want the story to end. It was deep. Zoe, Jason and all the others stories really gave one something to think about. I really like that not only was this about a sexual addiction, but a mystery as well. Erotica with a plot. Good work on this novel.

Review: In a short amount of time, Zane authored a literary masterpiece with an ensemble of mystery, excitement, erotica, and love. Zane dispels a colorful story about a love that transcends obstacles and an addiction that is the catapult for the turmoil in the characters' lives. Using scorching sex scenes, a palpable storyline, and tumultuous characters, Zane immediately grabs your attention and doesn't let go until you've read the last word of the novel. A piercing addiction thwarts Zoe's(main character) decision making skills plummeting her into a world of sex, lies, and distortion. Only the paramount love that she and her husband (Jason) share can get them through the mayhem that Zoe's addiction causes. But, will love be enough to detain a fatal attraction? With unbridled anticipation, I soared through this book, my eyes raced over each page digesting every tantalizing word and piercing dilema. Every time I sighed with relief thinking the danger was over, another adversary appeared in the next chapter threatening to break the last link holding Zoe's life together.

Summary: If you can't take the heat, you know the rest
Review: The book was the bomb! I waited a long time for it to come out and I am glad the wait is over. Zoe is a main character that anyone can relate to in one way or another. I lent it to one of my close male friends and he called to tell me that the main character is just like his ex-wife. In fact, he is reading it for the second time and this man barely reads. What was so impressive was the way that Zane played up the childhood love affair between Zoe and Jason. It made their adulthood feelings and reactions to situations all the more believable. If you are looking for a good read, look no further because Addicted is it. It was nothing like I thought it would be. I was assuming it would be straight up erotica because Zane wrote The Sex Chronicles (which is the best erotica book on the market by the way), but it was nothing like that. It was a full-fledged murder mystery with dozens of twists and turns. The sister knows how to weave a magnificent tale of deception. This was a great novel and Zane is a great new voice in African-American literature.

Review: I just finished Addicted and if I would have had the time, I would have finished it in one day. I really enjoyed it. It kept my interest and I looked foward to each chapter. I was thankful it wasn't about a perfect couple living in a perfect world. Last night, when I came home, I was reading the book at red lights in my car and that was in the middle of the night! I was surprised when the murderer wasn't who I thought it was. I can't believe Zane wrote the book in such a short period of time. Zane is really talented. I also think the cover is very nice. I can't see anyone not enjoying the content of the book. I hope Zane gets the sales she deserves and hurries up and writes some more.

Summary: All I can say is WHEW!
Review: I know a lot of people say this about books but I honestly could not put Addicted down. I was reading it at work, reading it on the subway, reading it while I was on a date waiting for Mission Impossible 2 to start. I read it in less than 24 hours and I have never, ever done that before. I have already passed it over to my best friend to read. I don't want to risk giving anything away so just let me say that if you are looking for something different among all the Waiting to Exhale knockoffs out there, this is it. Zane lays the words to paper like magic and the characters are past believable. If you have ever read any of her erotica, you already know how detailed the sister can be. You feel like you are actually watching their lives unfold. I loved the fact that Zane spent time showing all of the main characters as children because a lot of what we become as adults stems from childhood. Thus, the drama that Zoe, Jason and Brina all went through. Boy, was it a lot of drama! If I could give this book ten stars, I would. On second thought, even ten stars would do it a serious injustice. Make it twenty!

Review: Well, Ms Zane has done it again! This time, she took us through the lives of select characters - Zoe, Jason, and Brina - and we were allowed to see the risky side of sex without love.Ms. Zane has the uncanny ability to paint a picture using strong personalities that are very real and believable. The main character of this story, Zoe, really sounds like many women I know. She struggles with her own insecurities, at the same time, struggling to maintain a positive public image. She is aware that her life is crumbling from within, but also struggles to keep the shards from hurting those she most loves. This is the second book I've read from Zane and I have to believe this writer has a very promising future! I know she has another fan - me!

Review: This was a very interesting story of a woman like many that I know who wonders why they make bad decisions in their personal and sexual lives. Zoe's drama is nothing new for a lot of people, but most people never take the time to seek help and find out why they make bad choices - this story take you through that journey with Zoe. The author also weaves in a strong dose of love and family to help her through that journey. Thanks to Zane maybe this work of fiction will open some eyes and minds. It is fiction and the story get a little drawn out in places, but it worked. I've been a fan of Zane's for about six months through her newsletters and website, believe me that sistah has opened my mind to a lot of things. Thanks Zane, keep up the good work. We got a sexual revolution going on here.
