Summary: Captivating, enthralling, sensual and yes erotic
Review: Addicted, slowly captivates you and then thrust you into one of the most sensual rides of your life. Zoe has it all, wonderful husband, beatuiful kids, thriving business, but her life is troubled. She can't understand why her body craves sexual release in such a passionate way. And she is further confused when the love of her life does not share her sexual aspirations. But the real story is why she feels the way she does and how she chooses to deal with herself. This is a story about acceptance of who you are and why you are and where you want to go. Zoe was trying to balance family, love and lust while she was losing her balance. Some climatic twists start unravelling the center of her existence and when she reaches out there is noone there to grab her. If you want to be touched by a sensitive, sexy, erotic and human story. Pick up a copy of Addicted by Zane and I promise you will feel the heat.

Summary: Excellent Debut!
Review: While Addicted is not Zane's first published book, it is her first novel and I must say that I am extremely impressed. She is definitely well-versed in different genres. I agree with a previous reviewer that this book goes far beyond erotica. The Sex Chronicles, her first book, is HOT and EROTIC but Addicted is just excellent on all counts.

While male, I learned a lot about myself and the women in my life from reading this book. The most important lesson I learned is that listening to loved ones is fundamental. Zoe, the main character, continuously tried to talk to her husband, Jason. He never listened and all hell broke loose because of it.

Another lesson I learned is that mental hangups don't mean hiding your head in the sand. If Zoe hadn't sought help, eventually her entire world would have been destroyed even though it is hanging on by a shoestring anyway.

I would suggest this book to any and every one. In fact, I have. I belong to a book club in Washington, DC and it is our book selection for January. Zane, if you read these reviews, all I can say is keep up the good work. You're a winner in my book and quickly becoming my favorite author.

Summary: Secrets, Suspense Sex sex and more sex....
Review: The next time you part your lips to ask "What shall I read Next" Pick up Zane's "Addicted"

For every person who ask this question I would like to shove this book in their hands. After the first paragraph you are addicted, and by the last your crying for another of Zane's works.

Zane pushed this book to levels and limits that had you on the edge of your seat. When you thought you had it figured out, a sweet twist was waiting around the nearest corner.

This story is about love, friendship, trust, secrets and as Terry McMillian says "Exhaling"

When Zoe & Jason exhaled they found a good love renewed a million times. Yall better look out cuz Zane is hot~

Summary: It's About Time!
Review: I have often wondered when books would start exploring African-American sexuality. I would always have to read about sexuality from the perspective of people that didn't look quite like me, nor could they relate to my plight as an African-American female.

Then along comes Zane. I have read both of her books, Addicted and The Sex Chronicles, and I all I can say is, "It's about time!"

Zane handles the topic with grace, candor and humor. Zoe is a character I will long remember and I feel like I see a part of her in myself. When the characters stay with you long after you read a book, that is the mark of an exceptional writer. I would suggest this book to anyone. Like one reviewer said below, this is definitely one of the best, if not the best, novel of 2000. I look forward to reading more of this author.

Summary: To Unreal at The End
Review: The book was doing okay until it got close to the end. They go from an okay sex life to a fantastic one. For someone who had an addiction like Zoe her cure was too instant for me. I think the theary could have used a little more time in the book. Also Jason seem to cure his problems overnight as well. It was too much of a Fairy Tale ending.

Summary: Absolutely Addictive!!!
Review: Addicted, simply put is about love, passion, sexuality, and the realization that a person's life is not always what it may seem. Especially the sensual side that a lot of women spend their lives trying to repress. With a one-of-a-kind style, Zane takes us on a sensual ride with absolutely no inhibitions....NOTHING held back.

The main character Zoe is beautiful, successful, and has it all...so it seems. Yet, we find out that she lacks one thing that she desires: sexual satisfaction from her husband Jason (who was her childhood sweetheart). In her search of what she can't bring herself to discuss with him (their sex life), she finds herself caught up in affairs with folks she barely knows. Think that's something? Well, that's just the beginning....

That's just one of the surprises and twists and turns this novel takes!! It's definitely one roller coaster ride after another and whether you know it or not, you signed up for one spectacular ride when you purchased this book. Just make sure you put your seatbelt on tight and that you're not "sexually repressed."

Zane spins a web with unforgettable characters that you'll love, hate, and possibly relate to personally. You may even find yourself thinking, "Dang, I know how that feels." Each character is introduced with the intense words of Zane's writing. There are also enough erotically wicked scenes that you'll be in a frenzy flipping the pages for more.

If you haven't read Addicted, you're missing an outstanding novel. This is one of the best books I've read this year and I'll be waiting with great anticipation for the sequel! <grin>

Summary: Spectacular
Review: WoW, what can I say and where do I begin. Just as there is a difference between a player and a champion. There is a difference between a writer and an author. There are stories that a reader may read, put down and forget about. Then there are the stories that stick with you long after you've placed the book in your collection or passed it along to a friend.

Addicted is a true masterpiece worthy of being called one of the great works of literature. A story so intriguing that even the most discriminating reader will have a difficult time putting this one down. Zane writes with remarkable insight, humor and sensitivity. A thriller from first sentence all the way to the last, Zane takes her readers on a voyage into Zoe's comfortable yet highly explosive and often harsh reality. Zane often causes the reader to hold their breath and pray for the best. Addicted is nothing short of spectacular. So strap yourself in tightly and brace yourself, because Addicted will have you on the edge of your seat.

Summary: T-I-G-H-T!
Review: Addicted is a story of deep down true love with a tightly woven plot. Zane's writing style and surprise twists makes her novel a refreshing read! Her characters built a love that as a reader I was able to believe deeply in. A fast paced love, lust and what's missing story.

Summary: Addicted and Sex Chronicles: Breaking the Myth
Review: I love to read novels where a woman can speak about her passion and sexually without being judge. I will purchase any and all novels by this author. It is refreshing to read a novel with so much passion in each and every paragraph.
